Not really 😊. As you say it was Already broken , in Order to Generate revenue back from buying it the running video went to shit. So it became a total destruction video to get views , more views more revenue return.

Kev, I love your vids. I'm not a fan of liquid powered RC stuff. But can't help feeling this car deserves a lot more respect than bashing it to destruction. Especially when Redfin models was reluctant to sell it in the first place. If I was Jason, I think I'd ban you from the shop. Really felt his disappointment.

for those wondering it was $2000 when it came out and you havent been able to buy it for around 3 year jumping the price up to over $3000

It was a POS design! The only thing that Car had going for it was the Body. If it was a good design they would be racing them to this day.
I think the whole runaway thing was just an excuse to crash it for views. I'm kinda getting sick of it. Not trying to be a hater, but I don't like watching perfectly good stuff I can't afford get destroyed.

Rc cars are meant to be enjoyed and used That's the entire reason they are made and plus from the get-go he wasn't intentionally trying to destroy it most of it was from the car malfunctioning. That is something that definitely happens with nitros. If they lose connection or transmission they will sometimes go a wire as you can clearly see in the video

He honestly has great content just wish he would beat up the vehicles like he does. But to each their own and rc people are all different in their approach. He seems to enjoy breaking it then completely upgrading it but I prefer to see how long to can make the original parts last.
Runaways cant be helped, but running it over repeatedly and then ringing up the guy you got it from and showing him what you did to it is a seriously childish move.

It used to be good wholesome RC review channel that yes you would break stuff but it was always to test then show how to repair etc.. its just now deliberate destruction for the sake of destroying them… that’s why it’s sad.

My 9-year-old just can't handle it when the cars get destroyed. It really bums him out, especially since he's been dreaming about that expensive model and we can't quite afford it. It's tough to watch!😅

I don't usually care when kev destroys widely available cars such as arrma kratons, xmaxxes etc. He paid for them and it's his own money, whatever, but seeing such a rare model that is worth more than just money get intentionally destroyed to bits and trying to cover it up with lying saying it was a runaway before proceeding to run it into a wall and drive over it is an absolute disgrace to the rc model community and it is sad to watch. I hope redfin models have learned their lesson.

Hey kev you should pre order the Losi nascar, it releases lat summer early fall. It really cool, I’ve watched a couple videos on it.
This video makes me feel a bit sad, not because of money, but because sometimes, some excellent old products are becoming increasingly rare. Once they are destroyed, there is a high probability that they cannot be rebuilt, and they will be lost in history forever.
Maybe those are like the real cars, you cant pump the throttle up and down, you have to be smooth and steady. BTW most impressive thing is that you did not get a flat tyre on the Rover

You should run a "failsafe" on nitro cars, basically a cheap little chip that plugs into the servo, if it loses radio it puts on the brakes. Foam tires and a failsafe and you'd be good to go.
That only solves a tx/rx problem assuming the battery/switch is fine
If the battery/switch aren't fine then a second FS is handy. Mine is a hairband wrapped around a screw in thr linkage and carb throat, doesnt apply brakes but does fully close the throttle
I am not super convinced that was a real runaway.

I love you Kev but it’s clear that nothing is sacred with you. At least when it comes to RC cars.
I have no idea how similar this is to a real F1 car, but if it is then the reason it’s so difficult to drive is because you’re going WAY too slow, F1 cars have very poor mechanical grip, and the downforce is what generates the grip, so you have to go super fast to make them work
but you cant get it to go fast it just spins before it gets there
and have the aero set up. Notice the gloss on the one tire too, it was old and dry. The grip compound helped but it's all for naught now anyways......
