Great video as always. But for looks like the slow crawl is not slow as in the other Furitek combos . And it looks like a bit of cogging in some situations , or am I’m wrong ? Not sure about this .
I don’t think it will fit in the fcx24m. But it will fit in any other fcx 24 / 18. (The fcx version) The mn82, I’m not sure, it all depends on the gear pitch and the motor mount holes.
My main question is if this setup will fit in the ripper chassis 🤔. Gonna do a scratch build as I already have the chassis kit. So I’ll be running my own electronics and will also need to source out my own light kit for it for sure.
when should you be worried about motor heat? when should you be worried about servo or esc heat? I had my python heat the motor and servo way crazy to where i couldn't touch it; no idea temp. and couldn't figured out why unity!
Just got my unity pro a few days ago, slightly concerned about the temps. I updated the firmware right away, saw that the update notes mention temperature optimization. Running on 3s, motor temp gets to 50-55c just trailing. pretty dang warm to the touch. Is this normal? I have calloused, semi-heatproof hands (lol) from working as an auto tech so idk if the finger test is accurate for me. Before the unity pro i was running a cedar with a moforc rockwolf esc also on 3s and it definitely ran cooler. what do you think?
@@TheShopMiniRCLowering the drag brake from 30% down to 10% dropped the temps by almost 20 degrees, and the brake level still feels good at 10%. Thanks for the tip!
I’ve got one of these on preorder for my TRX4m so I found this video really useful. Thanks! 👍
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching.
Unity with the Unity. Thank you for the review.
My pleasure!
Super cool I’m here watching 4:25 PM Friday, August 16. Yay it’s Friday. Can’t wait to see what you put this in.👍👍😎

It feels about the same as a lizard pro and cedar motor.
2in1 👍
Thanks for the watch!!!
would this fit the MN82, FCX18 unimog or FCX24m discovery?

It should yes. I have a ripper with the stock motor. So this should fit no problem.
@@TheShopMiniRC ah true. Thanks for the info my dude. Keep up the great vids 😁👍🏻
@@modernart86 thanks for the support. Be sure to share any videos you love!

If you can’t keep your finger on it for longer than 3 full seconds, it’s too hot. And a servo should never get even close to that hot.
What receiver did you use with it?
If I remember right, it was the rc8x transmitter and rx from radiolink.
Good Job Ken
Thanks my dude!!!

Thanks!!

I know it runs hot 55c should be fine. Just don’t get over 70c.
You can also check your drag brake and turn it down if needed. Too much will heat up.
@@TheShopMiniRC Thanks, that does give me some peace of mind.
Do you know if anyone makes a heatsink that fits on the unity or cedar?
@@patrickgeorge4306 none that i know of. I’m sure there is something out there, I just Donno without doing some research.

@@patrickgeorge4306 yeppers. That will do!
Can you put it in scx24
Not this one as the mount pattern and pinion are too different. But… they ARE coming out with an even smaller scx24 version.
