#1: Search for similarities, overlook differences. We tend to like people who have similar interests and values to us (even clothes).
#2: Capitalize on a similarity, and express your emotions enthusiastically.
#3: Extend similarities. Ask open ended questions to create rapport.
Maybe your self esteem is a little low. Focus on your positive accomplishments, victories you have. I am recommending Julia Kristina a prominent UTUBE presenter, a therapist, life coach. She even has her own Facebook group. I believe it’s called The Shift Society. Not for sure on the name as I never have followed up on this group. I have never done much with Facebook. Hostile Hero in some jobs you need people to like you whether you want them to or not. I'm a cashier and I need to be decent with people in order to do my job effectively.
If we keep on thinking about how to impress others how to make them like us.. etc we will one day lose our originality,confidence and finally u VL get confused with who u r, what u like and not like and at last lose your whole life and peace of mind.
Instead your technique can be used for marketing , business purposes alone.
Not for making friends. Ultimately we should aim for a real friend and for that we should not be fake

Hey just discovered your stuff today. Very good I thank you. I'm a single guy trying to find a good quality woman. I've become more selective as I grow wiser. However when I'm at LA Fitness working out I see girls I like but I never approach them because I'm so focused. So I felt it impress upon my soul the question of how to be more friendly to people. Not like I'm being a jerk but I probably just don't seem very approachable. So anyways your information is good thanks again.

Maybe in somewhere it's true and yaa its true that a person like that person who is similar to them. But somewhere it's wrong because many people love to look different from others.
It's because we're constantly trying to reconcile a struggle between wanting to be unique/independent, and our need for human connection. People are weird, huh?

I've heard some people say the "high five" is cheesy-) It depends on how you approach it. One technique is to hold up your hand and let her reach to slap it.
