Hi James ignore the odd moronic comment, you will never know how many D.I.Y ers like myself you have helped to carry out plumbing tasks we would have never dared to undertake until we have watched your channel 👏👏👏 the best plumbing channel on RUclips in my humble opinion 👍👍
Agreed, from this channel I replumbed my upstairs bathroom.
Moved location of everything, hot, cold all waste pipes.
All copper pipe was end feed and soldered.
A year on it's all water tight and working as it should.
It was all down to James sharing his knowledge 👍🏻
Happy New Year James, looking forward to 2023 videos!
i'm not a plumber, just a DIYer, but I just love your crazy amazing stuff (Thanks for your great vid on laying floor tiles). I may even consider doing a 'crap job' and sending it in as a 'can you believe it' moment.

The sturgeon comment 😂😂😂
You are hilarious! We came for the excellent plumbing advice (we are renovating our bathroom into a wetroom) and stayed for the comedy! God Bless you today and thank you for the excellent advice x
It’s a pneumatic pressure vessel that’s why it needs a compressed air line
8:15 - compressed air, suction, mains... dentist's chair?
Loved the Scottish accent attempt! I am sure you would have nice little chuckle listening to my wife trying the British accent seeing as we both have very pronounced southern dialects from the USA. Great video!
Some of these were like picking which piece of carrot you want to eat out of a pile of sick
A dentist chair
Haha the Sturgeon gag - 10/10 that
Always a pleasure to watch these videos. Where's the Jim Bowen impression?
I would say to all the DIYers out there its okay to try and fix a leak or change a tap washer in most cases, but when it comes to installation and please please please call in a professional plumber! Good design and correct installation will save you agro and money in the long term. Good channel btw love it.
Was in Naples a few months ago and loads of the boilers were outside the properties. No idea what they are doing.
If all of the lever valves are in a line don’t they clash when you turn just one off?
The van was funny, but yeah if a thief opened up your van ,and then drove off some you could get a whole new set of tools, and equipment 😂😂😂😂
Next time the countdown could include a special photo completely unrelated to plumbing like the Bullseye darts show with the special prize of a speedboat in a landlocked region.
Started watching these to get an idea for things to look out for while me and my partner were trying to find our first home. Had an offer accepted on a place now but it's still fun to watch. Just here to ask some advice - Can you use one of the big 12kw instantaneous water heaters from the likes of Stiebel Eltron to replace an immersion tank and supply DHW for the property?
The property we offered on doesn't have a gas supply and used storage heaters/immersion tank. We're going to use an air to air heat pump for space heating and air conditioning. We'd appreciate the extra cupboard space we'd get by removing the tank and as it's only got 1 shower and the kitchen and bathroom sinks which are all really close together it seems possible to my layman's brain. Are there any downsides to doing this?
I like the idea because I have MS which means I'm simultaneously at risk of burning myself because of nerve damage and also immunocompromised so at risk from legionella. This would be safe for both of my risks.
I've contacted one plumber already but it seemed like they were trying to jack the price up by insisting on installing a water heater/power shower at every outlet. Is it fair of me to think that? It's not a big house. All hot water pipe runs would be within 2 metres of the hot water heater and it's really only a 2 person house so the most demand you'd see is a sink and a shower at the same time. What do you think? Feels no different to how you'd hook up the hot water to a combi boiler. Would appreciate the thoughts of someone experienced. Thanks!
You should be fine with that system, although it’s not normal, but then your situation is different from most.
@@plumberparts Thanks!
3:15 looks like the lever valves would interfere with each other preventing them from being closed fully?
I would think that anyone who makes a tidy installation like that would be fully aware of not letting that happen.. Each lever valve handle can be offset in height or even rotated a couple of degrees more, than it's immediate neighbour to avoid any such issue..
Great content as always but I just watch it for the brilliant commentary
"Was gonna do an Irish accent i don't know why" 😂 we all know why James.
Dentist chair is being fitted 👍🏻
I was waiting to see one of my jobs on there 😂
I work for ITS . Good stuff
Hi,
I loved all your videos over the years, Keep up the good work.
I have a problem you might be able to help with. I have a Ferroli optimax HE25S gas boiler it’s about 12 years old now. The mother board had a intermittent problem, it would stop for no reason. I’d take it out look at it (no signs of damage) and refit It. It would work for years, I thought it was a cracked PCB. However I ordered a new PCB (DIMS23)for a UK supplier and when I fitted it comes up with an error code F37. No program book came with it and the supplier has no idea. Would you or your contacts know how I can change the program or have a programming book?
Many thanks and a happy Christmas to you and your!
