- Fujiyama (富士山) is a steel roller coaster, located at Fuji-Q Highland (富士急ハイランド, Fujikyū Hairando) in Yamanashi, Japan. The ride opened to the public as the world’s tallest roller coaster, standing a huge 79m 259ft high. Although, it's more interesting than that. Fujiyama was the result of an amalgamation of inspirations, including Fuji-Q Highland’s desire to hold the record for the world’s tallest roller coaster, and the landmark that Fujiyama stands beneath, Mount Fuji.

Fujiyama's drop was also beaten 1st by a full circuit coaster by Goliath at SFMM 2-3 months before Millennium Force beat Goliath. Also, Giant Coaster was the biggest coaster in the world when I was born. Great video, thanks for posting!

I love your channel. For me it is the consistent and perfectly concise format in which you present your videos and the small touches that show your true knowledge and passion. For example correctly including tower of terror as the ride that took the speed record from fujiyama. One of my fave coaster channels. If i could request one video from you it would be “what is shwartzkopf” i cannot find a quality documentary style video about this incredibly influential manufacturer, one created by you would please me very much. Thankyou for your exceptional content.
That slide going back down from the viewing platform looks scarier than the ride - imagine at what speeds you'd plummet out of it sliding from such a great height!
The name is also to poke fun at foreigners who call it Fuji Yama instead of Yuji san.

When I went to Fuji-Q Highlands I had to choose two coasters to ride among the four major ones in the park...and I left Fujiyama out without regret. My friends who rode it confirmed that it was very average. I'm glad I chose Do-dodonpa instead 😁

If its not the Ultra Wwisters or Bandit, this looks like the best Togo, it is 1 of the longest coasters in the world and has a unique hyper twister like layout.
