as a guy working in the business, i really appreciate your work. It is full of good research, fine tuned into easy accessible compact bits of information. Quite professional!
This was amazing! A lot of people don’t know that MACK’s rides are trying to appeal to a larger audience, that’s why they’re not as intense as other manufacturers.
Would they not be more appealing if they had intense ? They are the most all round company out there , they just need a bit more intense for the intense Audience.
@@Davidoneill1967 They have the Xtreme Spinner and the Hyper for thrillseekers. They're just not very popular because of the cost. Project Exodus at Thorpe Park costs $20 million, despite it being such a short ride.
I learned a lot from this video. I didn't know Mack's history went so far back, or that they owned Europa Park. Well-researched, and I really appreciate it. I'm glad we're starting to get Mack's launched coasters here in the U.S. It provides an option for people who are looking for a thrill ride, but aren't quite up to riding one of the giant, forceful thrill machines that have been popular in the US over the past decade or so.
Well in the end the EUROMIR hold 3 records in to categories as far as I know Length height and speed for spinning and spiral lift Just the spinning records now went to the launch iteration
Extremely educational, especially considering1) the company started in the 1700s, 2) they had the 1st wooden mouse coaster, 3)a Time Traveller and 3)b Icon. Love this video!!
They imply but don't name Intamin as the inspiration for the adult rides. Cedar Point doesn't need another family friendly coaster, they already have several.
Great video. Just got back from SilverDollar City last week. Time Traveler is an awesome ride. Rode it at least 12 times and every time was a completely different experience. Thanks for the video.
where is disney and universal with the Arthur model? The rotating cars and the roller coaster elements would work perfectly for disney and universals dark rides.
When one of Mack Rides’s roller coasters was refurbished, the track had to be torn down and replaced and part of the old track was made into a bench that people could sit down on and relax in Europa Park. The bench has since been removed from the park and is now in private possession of the Mack Family
Well Researched! I'm currently working on a documentary about Mack Rides myself and I must say that you put in a lot of information into a relatively short time. I am currently reading 'Roland Mack: King of Fun' and let me tell you, the Mack family are perhaps the hardest working people in the amusement industry.
Really enjoying these videos man! So well produced and informative! Can you do more videos about Alton Towers?? There's so much that's unique about that park - it's history, the height restrictions, the amount of World First rides.... I feel our American theme park enthusiasts needs educating on it! :P
Thank you, that's great to hear! We hope to do more videos about Alton Towers soon. Starting with one focused on Wicker Man, and then maybe the park itself :)
Great video! I'm excited that my local amusement park Carowinds is getting a MACK coaster called Copperhead Strike that will open next year. Looking forward to it!
Maybe the best video on this channel ! I wanted a review about mack's coaster models and I got it ! Thank you coaster bot ! I think you could talk about DC rival a little bit because it's ceetainly their best coaster and it's not too similar to flash. Also I'd like to know your opinion about 2020 new mack coaster at EP, what could it be ? A mack wing coaster ?
Awesome I'm glad you enjoyed it, thank you! We ran out of time to talk about DC Rivals and some of the other well known MACK attractions. I honestly have no idea what EP will get as their next roller coaster. Time will tell! :)
True story, I just pulled up next Journey into Atlantis just outside the park right now. In fact as you mentioned the name. People also forget Mack flat rides like Musik Express, Sea Storm Bahn, Runaway Train just to name a few.
Is this the same Mack that's famous for heavy duty trucks? It seems like a logical progression from coaches and mobile homes and all that. Great video too!
Very informative video. Do you think Blackpool will get a Mack Big Dipper? Personally, I’d prefer a Gerstlauer eurofighter or infinity coaster though I’m intrigued by the Time Traveller spinning coaster at Silver Dollar City - have you been on it?
Thank you. I guess they could, but I'd prefer a Gerstlauer Infinity Coaster also as it would provide a much different experience to Icon. I haven't been on Time Traveller unfortunately.
I'd like to know what your thoughts are regarding why it seems like the industry leaders in coaster design resides Europe? Of course RMC is an exception to that but they are still relatively small compared to some of the European organizations. I am new to the channel so I'm still catching up on everything and apologize if you happen to have already addressed that.
8:56 No, Blue Fire was their first Megacoaster! It's on basically ALL official Europa-Park websites, and even THE QUEUE LINE! I was even annoyed because there was the word Megacoaster basically everywhere where the words Blue fire were.
Blue Fire is shown on the MACK Rides website as the 'Launch coaster' model. You can check it out for yourself here, it is definitely not a 'Mega Coaster': mack-rides.com/products/rollercoaster/launch-coaster/
Icon is awesome, you always want to ride it more after riding it once. Icon is the best rollercoaster at Blackpool Pleasure beach in my opinion 🙂.This video was great, I learnt a lot from it. I had no idea that journey to Atlantis was a Mack Ride and I always thought that Mack was American until watching this too.

Started watching your videos in 2018, keep up the great work. I love the Manta launched coaster at SeaWorld San Diego. You should do a video about Premier Rides, I've been wanting to know their history. I've ridden Mack Rides Spinning Coaster at Knott's Berry Farm, which is the only one that I've ever been one. You should create some new Explained videos on just the roller coasters like Shuttle Loops, Wooden, Launch, Inverted, Wild Mouse, Infinity, Dueling and Family Coasters?
Thank you, that means a lot, you've been watching for ages now! There's many more of these manufacturers explained videos to come, as well as explained. I'll note all your suggestions down, thanks :)
Those lap bar seats are probably the comfiest rollercoaster seats I've ever experienced. Real nice.
They are very comfortable! :)
Agreed!
comfiest ive had was Karacho at Tripsdrill(is a gestlauer infinity) they were super comfortable, both the lap bar and the seat itself.
@@Phoenix-zu6on the most comfortable I've had was Schwur des kärnan in Hansa Park. It's also a gerstlauer infinity coaster
True!
as a guy working in the business, i really appreciate your work. It is full of good research, fine tuned into easy accessible compact bits of information. Quite professional!
Hey thanks for this very kind comment! ☺️
Mack has the best safety bars ever! They are super comfortable!
They are fantastic I definitely agree! :)
Great video! I had no clue Europa Park was a testing ground for Mack.
Thanks, I'm glad you learnt something! :)
Neither did I
They're building a new coaster in 2021 according to rcdb.Hopefully it's a thrill coaster that goes upside down.
For the fifth time, the Europa-Park got 2018 the Golden Ticket Award for the best Theme-Park in the World. Better than Disneyland😏😅
This was amazing! A lot of people don’t know that MACK’s rides are trying to appeal to a larger audience, that’s why they’re not as intense as other manufacturers.

Now if only MACK would explain what exactly a Mega Coaster is in their eyes...
That would be very helpful
NovaScienceNever I haven’t seen you in a while.
Just visit the Mack website
It says mega & hyper
Probably anything between 100-200 feet tall. So Blue Fire fits that definition.
I’m still waiting for RMC: Explained!
please, it'll be legendary
And Intamin explained
Not until they do that rmc giga terrain coaster with tar on theming
oh no, a rush fan, so our paths cross in roller coasters huh, das nice
Euromir is almost like someone explained to Mack what a spinning coaster is, they didn't completely understand, then decided to build one anyway
This is actually too accurate
Well in the end the EUROMIR hold 3 records in to categories as far as I know
Length height and speed for spinning and spiral lift
Just the spinning records now went to the launch iteration
Well, yes. But it's fun, and the space nerd in me appreciated the theme

Europa Park is one of my fav theme parks! Never knew so many coasters were from a company in a town I´ve visited so many times!
Damn that was a good vid, I learned so much about what Cedar Fair should now start installing 😂

Greg Hunt yeah but other Cedar Fair parks my dude
Eric Thomason yes I’m aware, and Six Flags probably wouldn’t cause their cheap as hell lol
Again some high quality, entertaining, and fun to watch! I have to admit Harry’s voice is very soothing.
Thank you, I'm glad you think so ;)
It’s those English accents
Mango_ I don’t usually use them it’s just harry is cool enough to use them so I like to imagine like I’m cool enough
Not a mention of DC Rivals Hypercoaster? Totally their number 1 coaster!

Let's be real, the best Mack Rides coaster is Wild Mouse at Hersheypark.
No no no flying fish at thorpe park
No, it's Ricochet at Carowinds.
Ditto on Ricochet
That's not even their best ride. That's obviously the Musik Express.
Let's be real, the best Mack Rides coasters are Lost Gravity at Walibi Belgium and Blue Fire at the one and only Europa-Park.
I’ve probably been on like 12 roller coasters (most from Disneyland), but I can’t stop watching these videos.
Well the more ones you learn about the more you'll want to ride them! :)
Next, Mack unveiled the 'koahster', their take on the classic 'coaster' rollercoaster model.

As a nod to their history, it would be fun to have Mack do a Hypercoaster . . . . . with stagecoach trains.
That sounds very sketchy to me! ;)
3:47 Is that a replica of Disney's Spaceship Earth??
no, the sphere looks the Same, but there is a Rollercoaster in it, completly different to spaceship earth. its not copied or something.
