- POV Video of what used to be the "world's tallest roller coaster!" - Fujiyama! Ar 259 ft tall, it's still the 9th tallest coaster in the world as of 2013! Filmed & Edited by Robb Alvey - Thanks to Ryan Snooks for additional footage.
The best coaster i ever rode on in my life, that was a nightview and small rain with fireworks and we just felt we were so lucky that everything were there for us at that moment
I've been on this bad boy, and I can confirm that it is totally awesome! Even though it's got an aggressive attitude, it's a wild and intense experience, and it's a long ride! I applaud TOGO for actually making a good, re-rideable coaster. All hail Fujiyama!
It probably is the best Togo but it’s still not a great coaster. The transitions are wack and the layout is just weird...
I'd agree with this, regardless of the aggressive turns~ I've heard it's solid and real intense, but definitely not the best ride in the world. But I also applaud TOGO for making some good coasters in Japan.
I love Togo coasters for the same reasons I love Arrow coasters. So raw and unpredictable. Laterals are always surprising. As long as they have quick thuds, instead of constant vibration/rattling, I love em!
I rode this 5 times in a row on my trip to Fuji-Q yesterday as the line was only roughly 20minutes and I really enjoyed it. Possibly my favorite at the park. holds up surprisingly well given it’s a 20 year old Togo lol.
We've already posted two different POVs, rider cams, offirde shots, etc, etc. Not sure how much more there is to show!
It wasn't up to me, it was up to the park! They would ONLY let me use a chest mounted Go-Pro. So it was either that or nothing. Sorry to disappoint you. :(
This was the first coaster I rode in my life. Oh the memories!
Same here 😢
Great airtimes, length, height, speed, thrill, intensity and cat walks.
This roller coaster is perfect for me XD
Your videos are consistently better than the competition, so when you say your the best in the industry, I would certainly agree
I'll be honest, growing up in Vancouver and riding The Coaster every year, that ride never gets old! I love it!
If you get into that roller coaster you can’t do any other. It’s the best and most incredible rollercoaster I have ever been in my life
I rode it last year not only is it rough but the park is only open during Japan's rainy season if there's even a slight drizzle it feels like pepper spray
I don't know why but this is one of those coasters that I find to be rather beautiful to watch.
It doesn't really look like any other large coaster in the world with the low set trains and smooth (looking) curves.
DHager89 the pepsi max
The height of a hyper coaster plus the bizarre layout and jerky turns of a jet coaster!
my heart is beating so hard and I'm not even on the ride
Fantastic looking ride! Looks exhilarating and track layout is the best I've ever seen. It utilizes its strengths and executes amazing. I really enjoyed the POV. Thanks, my favorite. :)
And now Fuji-Q Highland is adding an observation deck to the lift hill of this ride.
Correction: It was the U-turn at the far end of the ride.
That ride looked awesome, that ending looked killer!
OMG this might be the best Rob commentary EVER! Love the beginning when he turns away from the lift hill! Haha also, TOGO PLEASE STOP MURERDERING US!!! Bahahaha that literally had me cracking up!
In this case - put your arms through the GoPro chest harness. Turn on camera. Try not to die.
Seriously, though, what we do is a bit of a "trade secret" to get our mounted POVs as smooth as they are. I've already seen a few other channels copy us who have seen what we do at media days and such, and I'm not really about sharing it, to be honest. We've been filming roller coasters since 1986 and we feel we are the best in the industry. Don't want to give that knowledge away for free! ;)
I love this coaster. Much better than I thought
Same, although you could call it the "least thrilling" of their 4 main coasters,I enjoyed it a LOT! It was freezing at the top, haha January. I rode it thrice, and after riding it, I was able to ride the other roller coasters way better! Great way to get used to the coasters. Sadly it only opened in the evening when I was there, so I never got to see Mount Fuji at the top.
kath rin I didn't see it either since it was cloudy >_
Way better then how this guy in the video sells it xD.
im so glad i rode this coaster and did not puke..one hell of a ride!!!!
Am I the only one who noticed the poor girl in the pigtails pass out like, twice? Lol, this ride looks insane! First time was at 6:09.
What's with these negative comments, don't like it leave, simple! These guys are legends!
Most of the negative comments are not about the POV itself, but about the fact that the guy's commentary. Most of us would rather that if you are going to shoot a POV, shoot it professionally (which means you as the cameraman keep your mouth shut).
Ikr those ppl should go and watch other POV videos, I personally like his commentary
Togo: how many catwalks do you guys want?
Fuji-Q: yes
Japanese emergency coding be like...
We already have two Eejanaika POVs posted to our channel.
Those are some insane headchoppers!
this video bring back a lot of memory~
want to go there once more.
Dude u make the best rollercoaster reviews thats y i subscribe to u keep up the AWESOME work:D
Looks great....how many bruises did you count afterwards???
HOW DARE YOU TURN AWAY FROM THE LIFT HILL!
Kidding. We love you and your cheeky shenanigans!
た、楽しそう~(^0^)/ 見てるだけで面白かった!THANK YOU★
Just by watching this my stomach feels ready to hurl
Ready for launch
A strange job? More like the best job!
Was not expecting to find a seven-year-old comment from this channel on this channel, yet here we are.
@@samwalko now 9 years old.. hi troy!! love your mario kart videos!!!
Your channel is awesome
i like your commentary! plenty of people upload without talking. if you dont like it, watch someone elses. :)
Aly Sortwell or mute it
You make me laugh on your videos!
Robb, could you like once make a tutorial or show how you mount youre GoPro to the Coaster ? Please do it once.
Really enjoyed the ride - Thanks
This had to be my favorite roller coaster out of the whole amusement park. I rode it 4 times and the first time was terrifying. ^~^
"Credits" are just the way rollercoaster fans count how many rides they have been on; one coaster = one credit. Robb used to work full-time in the games industry, but now presumably their income is based on a combination of DVD sales, appearance fees (i.e. for Travel Channel specials), youtube ads, and merchandise sales / Club TPR fees.
Great videos, how do you record them though? I used my GoPro and held it in my hand (it was tethered to my wrist), but it's pretty shaky and everywhere it says it forbidden to bring loose items onto the ride...
Still better than Manhattan Express.
Well, Manhattan Express hurt.
Better than Shockwave(KD)
@@johngriswold4303 English please?
Coasterhocky Gaming Boy nope that’s el condor at walibi holland
ouch
the world's roughest coaster ever, but I love this so much
At the first hill what do those wheels do? Slow it down, or help it up over the hill?
You must have an awesome life- going around and testing rollercoasters!!
and i also went on freedom flyer too. it was awsome did you guys go on it too.
can you guys show some more videos for freedom flyer at funspot america
i like the layout of this. what makes a steel coaster rough? i assumed that wood got rough. is it the trains?
Did you watch this video? You just did! Thank you! =)
If you don't mind me asking, who pays you? How do they determine how much to pay you? I hear you mention "credits" in your videos, but I'm not sure what that means..
I once went to Japan and played the roller coaster in Fuji-Q ... It was an unforgettable experience ...😢
Definitely a case of keep your hands inside the vehicle with this one!
Hey I'm new to your channel, but I highly recommend getting a contour +2, it's streamlined, high image quality and more importantly it has an in built GPS so you can display your altitude (height), your speed and the amount of G force your experiencing. It shows up in the video
especially the curves look painful
Det._Hoffman they’re not
It is so funny when you say "oh crap" I love you videos.
Hi. Nice video. What camera did you use to film the ride and were you required to take any permission for riding with a cam? Thanks
Togo....I thought that chain lift sounded familiar. Fujiyama's great at first, but it looks like the coaster becomes more intense after the second drop. The coaster could use a new paint job. Those Japanese girls sounded like they were having a lot of fun. I thought that there was a women chanting at the beginning video lol!
@TPR How many people are in the tpr staff??? or am I asking too much info.
This roller coaster is a truly monster!!! I went last year!
I think the rust was overpowering towards the end but none the less great pov TPR!
Hey TPR which park do you think is the cedar point of asia ?
Are there any really good TOGO coasters? Most seem very rough.
Ever ride Viper or Cyclone at Six Flags Magic Mountain? If so, how rough was this compared to those. Cyclone was the roughest ride I've ever had, felt like your ribs were going to break. Viper just beats your head to a pulp.
Where do you mount your camera on? Your head or chest?
Japan has the best coasters __
Go to United Kingdom , Blackpool Pleasure beach on the Pepsi Max Big One ! Its the biggest roller coaster in the UK
A fast chain lift in Japan? WHAT KIND OF MAGIC IS THIS!?
Sometimes i go back to this video to relive the euphoria riding this 😂
If you ever come to six flags fiesta Texas, ride every single ride. My favorites are the superman, iron rather(New 2013 ride) poltergeist(forgot how to spell it) and the goliath. Check out the RUclips videos for these rides.
Who else is here after finding out the park is adding a balcony on the coasters first turnaround?
Judging by those noises you made during the ride, I'm going to guess that it was smooth and not in the slightest bit painful.
how did u hold the camera??
is this the same as Fuji Q Highland?
I am visiting Japan this August :'DD
is it just one person or more becuse i alaways thouth you did the upload and coment to othres about what thay coment to you
Go to Playland in Vancouver BC Canada and Ride The Wooden Rollercoaster :) Its scary and awesome. You guys are Awesome and Brave. Thanks for the video's mates. You guys make this kind of awesome become REAL :D
The big one in Blackpool England looks like it has a steeper drop?!
I'm just really not a fan of night videos. They just don't come out that well, because... it's dark! Sorry!
you guys should go to lightwater valley in the UK and ride The Ultimate!
Nick Chaos they have
Any clue if the lines at that place always are that short?
I gotta ask. When u go to places like this, do u know the languages? Or do you have a translator?
How do you get such good audio during this ride?!
I get frightened even through this clip.
Sweet! cant wait
It's a strange job, I know...but yes we do! =)
79 meters is over 240 feet so that's a pretty big hill even if it's not the highest anymore. Can't beat the length of the ride either.
Woah that climb goes on forever
Yeah. A great coaster for 1996. Still a good one.
This is one of three rides featured in the finale of the ninth season of "The Amazing Race".
LAKE YAMANAKA
You could see tbe Eejanaika roller coaster as they went up
depends on your time and luck. the other day I went the queue was so damn long and it took at least 1 1/2hr to queue for each of the rides.
That's a nice, long coaster
I actually prefer the chest mounted Gopro videos to the train mounted ones.
Wow , would be fun to ride.
Like all the switchbacks near the end.
Nice view after the first drop up onto
the first turn ,,,, but seems like they lost
some of the momentum.
Thank you... my wife agrees! ;)
is this a flat ride
how...how would you even get into that kind of work? ._. Although I know it isn't all fun and games, and that you do have to put lots of effort in to make this work, but can you say "best job ever"?! Are you self-employed, or do you guys have "higher-ups" that pay you? Is Kid-Tums part of it, or do you guys have to pay for her yourselves? What do you do in the off-season, travel to the other side of the world??
So many questions that must be answered!!
I felt your pain on some of those elements
Aren't those bars a little bit too close to the track? I mean everytime you were passing under them i was thinking ,,oh crap, they will die!!" ;)
Do you have a autorisation for your video ?
TOGO never quite mastered the concepts of "transitions" or "banking".
