- In this video I show you how to change out your Saturn Sky, Pontiac Solstice, or Opel GT steering wheel.
The one I got is from a guy on eBay, but unfortunately he doesn't have any more right now.
You may want to check back on eBay to see if they are back into stock again. His store name is Revesol and you want to look for a 2006-2013 Corvette C6 ZR1 Z06 Steering Wheel in general.
There is a company in California that does sell them, however. They're called SoCal Garageworks. Link here. scgarageworks.com/product/200...

Mike,
I just have to thank you for all your videos.......but, especially the two videos on the installation of this wheel and where to purchace it! I just completed the swap and it looks absolutely AMAZING!! I'd post photos.....but I'm sure that's not permitted.
PLEASE, keep the videos coming....and know that you are appreciated!
Kappas Forever!
Another Amazing Video! I just got my own Sky today! I'm so excited to finally be apart of this awesome community!
For the 3 large stubborn bits I got a T30 rather than a T27 to engage. On the back a T20 worked where you’re using a T15. They’re a bit forgiving but for the stubborn ones I’d make sure to use the largest that engages.
As always Mike very informative video.
Cheers
Thank you.
Nice explanation video! Thanks!
Thank you.
Great video Mike 👍🏽
Thank you!!!
Thanks, Mike. I am still waiting on my wheel. Good to know what tools I will need beforehand to complete the installation.
Awesome. Just be careful with the airbag. I'm sure your gonna love the wheel.
Do you have or can you make a video showing how to change the instrument cluster light bulbs?
Hi Mike I would like to know we’re you got your temperature gauges on the side of your mount?
Would the same wheel amd procedure work with pontiac G6 ?
Hi Mike. Great video. I've been thinking of changing mine. A while back you mentioned that you may be changing the faces on your gauges. I was going to change my base gauges with a set from a Redline and never got around to it. Truth is, I couldn't get my base ones out. I was afraid I'd break the dash and gave up. Would you be interested in the Reline cluster. $100 shipped. Lance
Great video Mike. Thanks!
Thank you.
Hi Mike, I have watched almost all of your videos, thanks for the content. I just upgraded my steering wheel to the same one as yours. Thing is I now have a "service airbag" message. Did you get this code also when you completed yours ? ..... I did happen to break one of the small yellow safety clis for one of the air bag plugs. Could that be the issue ? Any thoughts would be appreciated. DO you know where I can buy a new clip by chance ?
Thanks, Andrew
Hi Andrew. It's 100% the clip causing the issue because I did the exact same thing. I don't think you can buy them separately. I happened to have someone on Facebook send me one of their extras from an old airbag they weren't using anymore. So I would suggest reaching out to people on the Facebook groups to see if anyone has a clip available.
I like oem steering wheel in my 07 Solstice GXP. But the left side buttons are glitchy. Is there replacements out there?
For the cruise switch? Yes there are, this steering wheel setup was used in quite a few gm products of the time like chevy cobalt
Hi Mike, Is this Corvette C6 Z06 product fits in a Solstice GXP?
Carlos: Corvette C6 (standard, Z06 and ZR1) do have the the same steering wheel as all types in Kappa platform.
The swiches on the left and right (build in the silver peaces, wich Mike House replaced from his old to his new wheel) : they are different at Kappa and C6.
I have a C6 Grand Sport + Opel GT (same, as Saturn Sky redline).
If someone needs a new steering wheel for Kappa, send me request. I do ship ONLY in Europe, NOT to U.S.
I am NOT a dealer, only a gatherer.
hello I am writing to you from Italy.
do you have the link where you can buy the steering wheel?
is it even smaller in diameter?
because the original is very big
thank you very much in advance
a greeting

How did u get ur seat cover on passenger side its no room underneath lol???
I had to take the seat out.
Hey Mike! Something tells me that removing the main fuse would be an easier way to cut the power to the car.
Maybe, but I was always told to remove the negative terminal. Mine was more of a pain than usually, though, due to the PS reservoir.
@@MikesHouseOfMods were creatures of habit. 😁 Thanks for the update.
I just priced one and they're fricking crazy.
The one I got was on eBay for under $300. Not sure if he has any more, but you can check there.
@@MikesHouseOfMods thanks
I just got one with (fake) carbon fiber hydro dip top and bottom for less than $150
Why all the non-specific terminology? Such as "Now plug this little thingy in here (while partially obscuring the connector you're working on).
Dead link for SoCal Garage Works
I fixed it. I tried using a site that shortened the link and it worked a few times and then quit. Here's the new link. scgarageworks.com/product/2006-2010-pontiac-solstice-2007-2010-saturn-sky-custom-carbon-fiber-steering-wheel/
@@MikesHouseOfMods This is a scam site. I ordered it in Korea, but I don't know if it's racist, but it doesn't order properly and it doesn't refund.
@@CARD-Collector-a I never ordered anything from them but I know a few people that have and said good things about them. Maybe you can email them about what you ordered and see what they say.
