  • In this video, I help a friend replace the damaged intercooler on his Pontiac Solstice with another stock one. This is the same procedure if you have a Saturn Sky or Opel GT. I explain how to remove the front facia, all of the components behind it along with the intercooler itself.

Thanks for this video. I can’t help but to admire the chrome work around the grills. Any idea how it was added?

You should do a video adding a push start button. That would be fun to watch.

I recently upgraded my intercooler. That poor thing was torn up so badly that it started sagging and flaking metal everywhere. No leaks surprisingly enough but it was in rough shape. I'd imagine the previous owner/s weren't too keen with parking and curbs. Most of the plastic shrouding that's supposed to protect the intercooler is missing so the install was rather simple. I ended up DIYing my own skid plate out of a stop sign specifically for the new intercooler to give it better protection as well as improve the aero.

Hey I have a question.. just wanted some feed back.. I have a solstice gxp.. and when getting in the boost it kicks a code for cylinder misfire.. I changed all the plugs and coils OEM and it's still kicking a code.. it idles just fine but every time in the boost theres a significant misfire that bogs the engine down.. I'm all out of answers.. my mechanic friend said it could be the wastegate on the turbo is bad.. I guess that's a common problem idk.. it's got compression it's not a valve issue.. the motor has just 40k and I'm wondering what's going on.. I just bought it a few months ago and the original seller and I have been going over the problem but finding no definitive answers.. any help would be appreciated thank you sir..
