This was a great and honest video. You handled those sensitive topics with such elegance. I've been wearing dresses almost exclusively now for the past few months. I do notice that when I am wearing dresses, it makes me more approachable. One day, an elderly woman stopped me in the grocery store just to tell me how beautiful and put together I looked and how it made her day to see this because it's rare. I also noticed that I am approached more by men (I am married so this isn't anything I am looking for, but I wanted to put it out there for those women who are single and want to stand out). Beautiful dresses will definitely set you apart. When I was wearing clothing that accentuated my feminine sexuality, it was very difficult to make friends. Now, so many women want to talk to me and get to know me.
Ultimately, I think the most important feminine garment we can wear is to fear the Lord. There is nothing more feminine and no woman more confident and regal than the woman that pleases God.

I am married and look probably a bit older than my age, which is nearing 40 - and I have worn dresses and skirts exclusively (except for some very muddy gardening chores at home) since I was in my teens. I have often noticed that in the public domain, men and boys are much more polite and chivalrous to me than to other women in the vicinity who are not dressed in a feminine way. Men are called to be heroic. They want to help others, fix problems, save the world...and many are sub-consciously looking for feminine women on whom they might exercise that chivalry. Many modern women spurn and ridicule men for being polite or helpful.

As a professional nail technician with over a decade of experience who's main focus has always been the actual physical health of the nails (and hands/feet) moreso than their appearance, my #1 recommendation above all other things is cuticle oil (or coconut oil, or vaseline, etc. Argan is a favorite. Even lip balm will do in a pinch.) If you can do nothing else, do this. As often as you think about it, whenever you think about it. When you get out of the shower, after washing your hands, before you go to bed, I even had one lady who kept it in her car and would do it at stop lights because that's when she remembered. Keeping the cuticle healthy will keep the entire nail plate and surrounding skin healthy. #2 Do your best to only file in one direction when maintaining your nails. Filing back and forth causes extra stress on the nail plate and can lead to excess splitting, cracking, and/or weakness of the free edge. A 240 grit buffer is my go-to for small catches. Also, toenails should be cut/filed as close to straight across as possible to prevent potential ingrowns from occurring. #3 Keep a nail brush by the sink and/or in the shower. Pretty self explanatory. #4 A great way to easily maintain your cuticles is to just gently push them back with a fingernail/towel after getting out of the shower. And last, but certainly not least, #5...the absolute easiest way to maintain smooth skin on your feet is a pumice stone (or pumi bar). Keep in/on/near your tub/shower and use it at least once a week. You don't need any fancy creams or scrubs or contraptions, just a few seconds of good old friction. Wait until you're near the end of your routine so that any dead skin will have had plenty of time to soften up and then simply scrub it away with the pumice. Just be careful to not accidentally scrub the softer skin on the sides/back/top of your feet as it could easily cause injuries. If your feet are extra dry/calloused...aggressive scrubbing is not recommended or necessary. It may take several rounds, but you'll still get the result you were after without the risk of injury. Remember: calluses are the body's natural way of protecting itself. They didn't just come out of thin air, are there for a reason, and should not be removed. Reduced over time? Yes. Removed? Never. Pair this routine with some lotion/oil of your choosing and a good pair of socks for even better results.
I hope it goes without saying that if you are experiencing pain or abnormalities of any kind that you should seek medical care, and don't forget to wash between your toes, ladies!

This is so good! I wasn’t raised to be feminine at all and as a result definitely had struggles early in my marriage. I also learned over the years that odor can be naturally controlled by dietary changes. The more internally moisturized your body is,the better. The more whole based foods you eat, the better. Eating too much processed foods and meat and dairy can cause your odors to smell. I’m so glad you take the time to help us to become aware of these things. I’m loving your platform.

The way that people act in the world nowadays it helps a man to feel like a man when their wives present natural feminine energy a simple long dress can do that and it doesn’t have to be tight. "I am not gifted in the make-up ministry.... That's not one of my spiritual gifts."🤭😂 Same here! That's a great way to communicate not wearing make-up. I choose to express my femininity through my skin (all over, really) by keeping it as smooth, even-toned and hydrated as possible. Maintaining a simple, but consistent, skin-care routine, morning and night, has done wonders, for me. So, I don't feel the need to apply make-up and as a nice bonus, people compliment my skin all the time.

I think one thing that helps me to feel feminine is not only everything you spoke about but it is having ironed clothes! I notice it everywhere I go, women and men appear more polished when their clothes are ironed. Wrinkle free! It’s a dying art in society, but makes a difference! I feel so much cleaner when my clothes are wrinkle free.

This video was great. I’m inspired all the more to be steadfast in these areas. I became lazy and neglectful and now I have begun to redevelop a routine of self care and maintenance. Unfortunately, everyone wasn’t born with a traditional “feminine figure”. Some of us have athletic, inverted triangle and apple shapes. So we don’t look so feminine is dresses and skirts. It’s a lot to dress these shapes.
I would add: Facial skincare and oral hygiene.

I recommend looking into the kibbi body types (not sure if i spelled that right) it will help you find out what shapes will look best on you based on the shapes of your body. For example some people have very angular bodies and or features, while others have rounder.. they call it yin and yang or masculine or feminine, not to say that someone with an angular body can't look feminine, but they will look the best if they do so while staying true to their yang attributed. Think collars, fitted and well structured pieces etc

Some of us women will NEVER have a small waistline. Even when I was UNDER weight, my waist was only 8 inches smaller than my hips. That has been a constant at whatever weight. Some of us just don't have that "feminine" figure, and people feel free to mock our body type. Did God not make us too? Are we not feminine simply because we are not shaped like an hourglass? Should I redesign ( get a butt implant) what God designed first?

Other people/strangers compliment me and I don't feel like it's because I'm trying to be provocative or seductive (I am covered and saving that for my husband), I feel I'm complimented because it's REFRESHING to see a young woman in her femininity and enjoying it! God knew what he was doing when he made men and women differently!

    Hey Bindi!
I stumbled across your channel just yesterday, and like many other viewers here I've been "binge watching/listening" to them as I go about my day. I grew up in the Church, a traditional family, came to Christ at a young age, and my husband and I are bringing up our daughter in the same environment and in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Your wisdom and insights are a breath of fresh air: as a "church lady" from a young age, the topic of femininity, womanhood, traditional gender roles, motherhood, women in ministry, the ministry of the home etc are all familiar and much explored topics in my circles, but I'm finding I really appreciate the way you are breaking them down for a new generation of women that may not have had access to them previously.
    1) I can't help but observe the "background" of your home behind you in your vids. Light, airy, minimalistic, calm and serene - it's obvious the environment you have cultivated in your home is intentional. I am hoping you will consider discussing/going into detail your "homemaking process" as it pertains to cleaning routines and consistently keeping an "easy-to-tidy" space. Lol, every time I watch one of your videos (especially where you are making the beds in the background) I always think "where does this family keep all their stuff? there's like......NOTHING in this room except for the bed!" It's obvious y'all live in a minimalistic atmosphere and I'd like to hear more about it as it pertains to being a professional Homemaker.
    2) In regard to this video: I so appreciate your going into detail about the characteristics of an outwardly feminine appearance. In a culture where androgeny is celebrated, it feels......fulfilling to push back with an overtly feminine appearance. I am drawn to a very girly, feminine style aesthetic so I personally really resonate with your style and the tips you've detailed here. That said, I couldn't help thinking: yes we are called to be "feminine" as Christian women - and the Bible details what feminine women ACT like (and some of what they look like) - but some Sister's bodies are better suited to a minimalistic aesthetic, or an outfit with bolder, clean lines as opposed to soft fabrics, ruffles and lace. I think there is room in a feminine, modest physical presentation for clothing, jewelry, accessories, hair, etc that is not overtly "girlie".
Your admonition for a Sister to take the time and effort to discover her BEST colors is gold: when she's wearing a color that compliments her, SHE shines. SHE wears and outfit - it doesn't wear her! Even a simple tee + jeans or tee + skirt combo can really make her shine if that tee is in one of her "power" colors.
    3) THANK YOU FOR REMINDING US TO MOISTURIZE.

In addition to your description of feminine dress, I have asked myself if it is “graceful/restful.” This, I think, is a big feminine gift we give that we can embody. An added bonus is that it will protect your skin from indoor and outdoor UV light and help with anti-aging. I wear tinted sunscreen from brands like Revision Skincare and Elta MD. I use a little bit of concealer, setting powder and tinted lip balm from other clean/organic makeup brands to elevate the look. I sometimes add bronzer on the tip of my nose to add more warmth. I attend events with a local ministry and out of all the women I'm usually the only one in a dress. I think this teaching is needed.. and missing in the church! Like you, I ALWAYS get compliments from other women about my feminine attire. One woman said "I love how you always wear dresses... you look so beautiful and feminine". I've realized that modesty and beauty in my attire is very noticeable (in a good way!) to the people around me.
One thing I am still working on is my posture and the way that I walk. Before I was saved, a woman I went to for "healing" pointed out to me that my posture was very masculine. I turned my hips and belly forward so my silhouette was totally off. This caused me to tighten the muscles in my legs and butt so they just had no cushion left. I also turned my shoulders inward and hunched over. I often sat with my legs open or splayed up on the arms of the chair. I feel so much more feminine now that even my posture is being restored in Christ.

Thank you Bindi for telling us the truths that we all intrinsically know but society has told us not to listen to ❤.

Wonderful content, Bindi. When you said that makeup can reach a point where it starts detracting from beauty, I was shaking my head yes in agreement. Our culture has gone makeup crazy. So many women and men both look like they’re in drag. It’s quite disturbing. I’d also like to add that fake nails, hair, and eyelashes can also detract from a woman’s beauty when it’s clear these things aren’t real. Women should take care in making sure their appearance is as natural as possible. For example, I can always spot fake nails. They tend to look unnaturally wide, thick, and long. I recommend that women stay away from fake nails and, instead, use nail conditioner and light polish to keep their own nails healthy. Fake hair can also be a problem, especially if we refuse to let our husbands see us in our natural state. Wigs and extensions can become an idol. Finally, fake eyelashes have become extreme in our culture. Again, it’s better to condition our real eyelashes and perhaps use a lengthening serum. So many women look “fake” these days and they all look the same. It’s refreshing to see a woman embrace natural beauty.

I’ve been thinking about this very thing for a while. I used to love makeup but I only did foundation and eyebrows. It became an idol because I couldn’t even go to the store without it. It came to a point where I knew it was unhealthy and so I got rid of all the makeup stuff that I had.
I used to bite my nails so they were always short but my grandmother has beautiful, naturally long nails. I’ve always admired that and I asked her when I was a kid how did her nails get that long. So she taught me how to take care of my nails. She always used red polish but she told me to keep my nails clean, stop biting them, and use a protective clear polish. She said that red polish was too grown for me😂😂 which I respect. My nails have been beautiful and healthy since. I prefer light colors or a white tip. Super beautiful.
I still love braids especially when school starts because my natural hair takes a long time to do, but I don’t hate having my natural hair out as much as I used to. I cried when I had to wear my natural hair. Now I love it and I feel more beautiful with it being out and curly. Even 3 years ago, I would hate having it naturally curly. I wanted it to be straight.
I think it’s about time that women embrace the beautiful bodies God designed. God designed me perfectly and I’m more confident than ever.

Thank you, Bindi, for your comprehensive discourse on Godly femininity. Our world seems to dismiss femininity as an archaic, irrelevant concept no longer useful to humanity. Social media platforms provide real-time opportunities for self-promotion, self- absorption, and exhibitionist behaviors. I think finding your channel was divinely inspired. Im so happy to know that there are young women who are indeed embracing their Godly femininity. You are a shining light in this confused society we live in. God bless you 🙏🏻

Thanks for speaking about the feminine figure as first key point
Most people go over that to please others and end up getting them at a disadvantage

You are extraordinarily blessed with natural beauty! Totally agree that less is more.
I had sun spots that were very unattractive on my face. I had them removed. And what a difference! Between that and getting permanent eye liner and brows, I can go without makeup now. Before the eye liner and eyebrows my face disappeared. LOL! I have hardly no eye brows. And both brows and lashes are so light. And my lashes are long and full. But they literally disappear to the naked eye without mascara. So the thin liner helps when I wear no makeup.

I just came across your channel a day ago ,I am 54 years old but I am a believer but inwardly I had the desire to dress modestly with elegance ,I am divorced but you know I have been always encouraged by my friends and family to take care of myself and I am at a point where I really want to pursue that in all areas of my life and like your content it is exactly what I need for the journey that I am at in life I love dresses and skirts ,and a thing that I have noticed as believers is that we need to to keep classy and maintain good standards because I watch how the royal dress in public they are always very classy and feminine in their dress code and as believers we are called out so keep up your good content thank you for choosing to put out classy needed content

I love your content and how you are ministering to women on issues that matter so very much, yet little is said on such issues from a context of godliness & practicality. May you be blessed by our Heavenly Father.
