It really reminded everyone that we should never behave this way to anyone whatever our motives are. You are 100% correct in describing that insane sick idiot. I could not agree with you more. Those offensive acts committed by him in his videos are everywhere now on social media and even on mainstream in Korea and everyone is obviously very upset and talking about it. I have seen them myself and they are just despicable and shameful. I would of course tell people that you are not him right away in case anyone gets confused and mistakes you for him. I was just as shocked and baffled as you were!! I definitely think he should be deported or even go to jail if he has committed an assault or any other crimes. Obviously, he is just one individual who just happens to be a black person so we must NEVER generalize all black people in negative ways. But, yeah, me being a foreigner myself like you living and working here in Korea for many years, he is definitely making foreigners like us look bad and it is so sad, shameful, and unfair because the vast majority of foreigners who visit, live, and work in Korea and very decent.

Love your energy. As a Gen X Korean American that has traveled to and lived in different parts of America and at different times of our cultural acceptance I've always felt that I had to conduct myself as an ambassador for other people that look or sound like me. This goes for overseas travel. What is that they say? That our eyes make up 70% of our perception of the world around us. So, it's natural that people would have some stereotype about me whether they be true or not. But we can always create new stereotypes for people if that's the case. The best part about traveling is seeing other people being at their best. For example, often the citizens of the host country go out of their way to be even more welcoming and helpful to tourists. What Johnny did was disgraceful to those that hold those sentiments. His actions betray trust for everyone, it impacts everyone. And that trust needs to be rebuilt because of people like him.

Francois, I just watched a few videos, and I can see what kind of person you are.
You are very generous and smart and consider others. I knew today. It was your grandma's wisdom sent to you. I highly respect your grandma. And as a Korean living in this land, I am very happy to know you, Francois 😊Good name
    Oh, and about RUclips billan.
It is not the because of same facial color that people worry about your safety. I think. To angry people something similar to what you chasing people tend to miss seeing.
Even after that bad ass incident, you can not see blame whole black people. It is isolated incident and people does not angry because of his black foreigner, because of he is humiliated host culture which have to respect at least if you visit there.
You and that bad ass are much different in looks. You are handsome, outstanding 😊

I actually found your channel because a RUclipsr criticizing Somali brought you up as a positive example of a foreign youtuber in Korea, and I'm enjoying your stuff. I like that you used this as an opportunity to discuss these types of topics and what it can entail. I hope you aren't too negatively affected by terrible people like him.
(I don't think you look like him, but then again I once saw Koreans confuse two of my black friends for each other, when one of them is bald and the other had a beard and dreads...).

Yooo, thanks for this comment! Could you let me know which RUclipsr brought me up? And right, Johnny's behavior is completely unacceptable, but I felt that it was a good learning and teaching opportunity rather than using his antics as a cash cow. And right, some people can't tell the differences between others in different ethnicities, so I'm on the lookout just in case:) Appreciate you taking time to watch and to leave this comment.

@@francoismarc3and yeah I guess I am advantaged in that I am more used to people of different ethnicities, a luxury that not everyone has, especially in a culture as homogenous as Korea.
