Respect to the owner who know how treat this Munich legend very well.
Ahmad Faisal ngiler bro
makes you also realize that old cars dont look bad they have just aged so much/been neglected that they look a bit shabby. this looks just as good as any new car from bmw.
500th like🔥
To the owner: Thank you.. You have a really wonderful car..
Fantastic. No bait, just proper journalism.
If you are a true car enthusiast and know how special this E30 is! Sometimes it's not about the fastest lap time, it's about the thrill of actually driving and taking control of a car! With not many computers telling you when you should brake or you're connected to a hotspot no automatic transmission. A pure driving machine! This was the ultimate driving machine! Alot of car manufacturers lost there way too busy trying to save the environment! I miss the old days!
What a beautiful example of an E30 M3. Single owner too. That's a rare beast. I recall the sensation caused when these cars were unleashed on the racing scene. In Australia at the time it was pre V8 supercars, instead we had Group A racing. It had three categories: under 1600cc, 1600 - 2500cc, and above 2500cc. The M3 did very well in that middle category. One of my favourite touring race cars ever was the JPS sponsored BMW M3 in gloss black with gold pinstripe and lettering. It was a classy race car. Prior to that there was a Group A BMW 635CSI in the same livery. It was sublime.
Every, single time I step into my E30 M3 the hairs on my arms stand up right.
No, it is not the fastest, but you are in complete touch with the car with all your senses.
nothing is filtered, controlled electronically etc... it simply let's you know whether you drive over a penny or a dollar...
I drove all M3's and could easily trade in mine for any M I would want. but the feel is indescribable and simply irreplaceable...
Looking forward to the E36 M3 review, that 6 cyl sound is amazing.
ButchE30M3S14 I have an E30 Cabriolet and an E30 Touring that had to be imported to the U.S. and love them both. I’m still a young man, so I can’t afford the E30 M3, but someday I’ll have it. Reading your comment keeps me motivated to achieve that goal. Congrats on having and enjoying such a beautiful machine!
Amen brother..same for me and my e30 M3.. having the engine rebuilt at this time so can’t wait to get her back on the road..
E30 For The Win!
Sport Evo onl 600 produced...Good lord my dream car is truly a dream. Even if I became a millionaire I probably still would have trouble buying one in one lifetime
2.5 litre n/a I4 with 238 horsepower brilliant
yep. Without any kind of charger. This stuns me still today!
If this is brilliant, I wonder what Hawking or Oscar Wilde were. Maybe « alright »?
Riles07 But did they make a 2.5l 238hp engine?
@@LukeF-98 they made a 2.0L with 240
damn thats more than my M54B30 when I swapped the intake manifold from a M50 and didnt get it tuned yet! Probs the same thing with when I swapped headers and didnt get it tuned for a month too
A friend of mine owns a E30 320i. It's not the fastest but still one of the best cars I have driven so far and I instantly fell in love with it.
Favourite cars of all time.. Bmw m3 e30 and mercedes-benz 190e evolution
And urQuattro
What about Lancia Delta?
MB Evo 1 & 2, Audi Sport Quattro, Delta Hf Integrale.
Mercedes Evo was my favorite too!
The Jebz my dream 5 car garage would be
E30 M3 Evo 2
190 E Evo 2
Sierra RS500
22B Impreza
TME Evo 6
🤤
E30 M3=poetry in motion👌🏽
The E30 still looks absolutely beautiful after all these years! This series is going to be exciting!
I have a 1991 e30 318is in red and it's probably the most balanced car I have ever driven. The ability to hold the corner and knowing where it is always is the best feeling ever. I've driven new and old cars. But no modern car has been able to give me that feeling my e30 does. Fantastic video conveying how an e30 feels to drive. Amazing video!
How often have you had to mantain it?
Gurnihal Singh I’ve had a 91’ 318is (red also) since 2006. In that time I’ve put on around 60,000km. Maintenance wise it’s been incredible considering it’s age. I’ve replaced a fuel pump and filter, replaced the timing chain tensioner, spark plugs and air filter, and regular oil changes and that’s about it. I don’t think I’ll ever sell the car.
Steven Mamzak damn bruh. Working on your car and keeping it all these years must be an incredible thrill on its own. Can’t wait t get my own car
@@gurnihalsingh3549 Probably every 3 weeks I need to maintain something but it just keeps going no matter what. It's an absolute tank at 300 000km
This is not just a car, its a masterpiece.
I had a 1988 M3 they are one of the greatest track cars of all time period.
Definitely the coolest generation of M3. Cracking video as always, though my attention was often more on the speedmaster than the car.
speedometer ?
@@metsot It looks like Henry is wearing an Omega Speedmaster in this video, which is one of my favourite watches.
@@WhatIsMeDoing Okey-dokey
Yeah that watch definitely had my attention as well!
This is only the second carfection video I have commented on. The first being Rory’s awful RR goat one. Well done carfection. We have been waiting for this for a long time. Brilliant piece of work.
The E30 and E36 M3's are some of my dream cars!
E30 things, this shall be shared on all the E30 forums. You will have a slow burn viral video gentlemen.
How many regulars are there to these E30 forums, anyway?
The combination of the FB forums is 50,000+ easy.
Henry has really revived Carfection. This was also beautifully shot. Top job by the team!
E 30 S14 .....When the letter “ M “ meant something to BMW and when BMW was the ultimate driving machine. A real car/ racer with a purpose.
You need to check out the M2 coupe, then. It's a return to form for BMW, specifically the M line. It reminds me of the cars they used to make, before they muddied up the lineup trying to satisfy everybody.
Matthew Robeson yes that model the M2 does raise eyebrows here and there but terms of the performance factor only but as an iconic figure with mystique or being in a class of its own it falls short. I guess if it were part of a racing series with limited production cars as the original E30 S14 then it would be the same.
S54 best engine made so stop man
Can't wait to see the E46 episode! The Sport Evo is a legend.
I went to college with a chap who was stationed in Germany in the Army. He saved all of his money and brought one of these over from Germany to the States. His was an 86 also, black, but had the M3 graphic Stripes on the side of the car. It was beautiful
Well the series can just end here aswell, because sure as hell no other M3 can get close to perfection that E30 is.
Love this bit.
Lets see what e46 has to say..
Wow, what a great car this specific one is! 😍 Looks like it came out right from the factory!
The quality of the film is absolutely brilliant! Can't wait to see more.
This is my favorite m3, the look of it is something you don't see anymore and disappeared after the first.
Amazing review! Is a pleasure being part of the M3 family, I’m an E46 M3 owner but without the E30 this kind of prestige and respect for all the M3’s would not exist, so thank you thank you thank you! And thanks to carfection for this incredible and focused review on each M3 generation
I've driven and own several models from every generation of M3, and this for me is hands down, the greatest of them all. And quite likely, the finest M Vehicle ever built....it really is that good!!!
Working for BMW in Munich myself, but this is one of the 3 best M cars ever. Absolute stunner :)
Excellent Henry, we could see you were having real fun, nothing dramatised ....
Alan Hunt Nothing beats the natural feel of a genuine experience behind the wheel transmited to the viewer.
That was the sole reason why I absolutley loved reading EVO magazine back in the day.
They can keep their Top Gears and Grand Tours scripted car themed comedy shows.
This right here is what its all about.
As a current E36 M3 club racer, E46 M3 owner, and former owner and tracker of the E30 M3 I greatly enjoyed your video and coverage of the E30 M3 Evo. Beautiful footage and excellent dialogue! Bravo! I look forward to your next videos on the M3s!!
We want more of these series. They're incredible
Henry wearing a omega speedmaster was just icing on the cake..
Absolutely epic video again. Can’t wait for the rest of this series. One to watch over and over.
Oh yeah baby! The Legendary M3, I love BMW.
E36 next on the list!!! I can't wait, I have owned 2 and loved them both. Thank you again Mr. Catchpole!
E30 é espetáculo 🥰
Very impressive to get all those cars in the same place at the same time and credit to the owners for letting you drive them as they should be driven!
What an excellent series. The M3 was great with its relatively small capacity high revving naturally aspirated engines, especially the s54, until it went turbo charged. It will never be the same, no matter how much power you have
I could watch Henry review cars all day 😃
Life Starts at 7000!! I have the Power!! 💪💪💪🚀🚀🚀
E30 M3 forever!!
Such an amazing car! I can’t wait to watch the rest of these videos! I own an E46 M3 and I’d love to drive the other generations on my channel!
I love the way you ended with the slow turn towards the next subject. Beautiful/cinematic.
Just brilliant. I love all of Henry's car tests, he has so much enthusiasm and knows how to deliver the tech on each car.
this entire series is brilliantly orchestrated.
I always though the E46 topped my list, but seeing this side by side, I actually like the E30 the most
Catchpole and the Carfection team showing all other motoring channels how it's done. Exemplary. The transition at 9:10... 👌
Smashed that Like button after 3 secs.. I already know it's gonna be epic
the end gave me Goosebumps!!!
Great job as usual Henry and co. Beautiful car and presentation. F10 550i owner here. BMW can build cars for sure.
Spot on with regards to all info shared, i had mine for over 20years and boy was she fantastic to drive right down to my last drive 2 yers ago. Will be interesting to see how the others fair in comparison. It is worth knowing that these were never speed demons even when new.
Would be very nice to meet the owner really.. Respect for keeping this in such a mint condition!
The most looking forward series ive ever had in my lifeeeee. Bring moreee bring them allllll . After this would u guys do M5 ?
Awesome car. What a joy must have been to drive that beauty.
Every time I see a film from you guys I’m thrilled , specially the ones Henry scripts, they’re such a superb piece of art and image , sound . What else can we ask? Nothing . Just perfect .
What a great show, how car shows should be. No playing idiots for the camera, and scenes that are so obviously set up, false jokes and stupid humour, This is what it should be. A great presenter. Thank you so much.
This M3 is the pinnacle of BMW M era
Great vid. Fantastic car.
Your hair is period-correct.
Awesome.
I saw the E30 and I almost cried that's how much I love it although I never had nor do I have a driving license . It's a hard to find one of these , these day at a good price.
This is going to be an outstanding series I can't wait to watch the next episode, thank you for doing this!
the E30 looks so good in its pristine condition!!
I love E30 m3 SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH
*A video series covering each generation of M3?*
poured myself some cereal and got ready to binge watch the whole series. Then I looked at the upload date :(
That e30 ! I love that front so iconic !
Simple man, am I. I hear Henry Catchpole, I like. It's automagic.
I'm lucky enough to have gotten a ride in one of these. From inside it all looks very e30y but you do feel like you're in something special. And they are definitely quick. Too bad the values on them have gotten nuts!
The best series ever
Another wonderfully done video from someone who truly loves cars.
Wow, absolutely amazing cinematography, graphical and sound design, bloody everything. Couldn't be better. I'm so hyped for this series of these legendary cars. After all these videos u HAVE to make another one for another car...
wow! thanks for making this series ..... and having henry catchpole as the host ! two thumbs up :)
I am crying this is beautiful
238 horsepower from a 4 cylinder back then was amazing. I bought a Mustang LX 5.0. new off the showroom floor in 1987. It had 225 horsepower, and 305 pounds of torque from its fuel injected V8. It hit 0-60 in 6.2 seconds, and the 1/4 mile in 14.2. Doesn't seem like much in todays standards, but for then, it was one of the best performing American cars out at the time. So this BMW was, and is still very impressive to me. I had no idea about it back then, but now wish I had been alert to it. Not that I could have afforded it. The Buick Grand National was commanding 18 grand in 87, close to Corvette M.S.R.P'S. The Vette had substandard performance for its price tag i.m.o. I beat a lot of them from light pole to light pole in my Mustang. Including the IROC's, and GTA Trans Am's.
Brilliant! Can't wait for the next one! You can always count on Henry and Carfection for something special!
Brilliant video - well done.
Thank God I have one in my garage!
Doing these cars justice. Excellent work so far!
I simply cannot beleive the quality of the content you guys pump out. Outstanding work as usual. Looking forward to the rest of this series!
Quality material. Waiting for the next episodes. Thank you
Great car and great film about it, thank you! Looking forward to the rest of this series!
perfect car for the kinds of back roads I grew up on. Today"s cars are faster, but this would be way more fun
thumbs up for Henry Cathpole. I love him
Whoever your new editor is....they are a GOD
Oh my goodness. I want to like this video more than once. I'm so excited for this series!
i get shivers from this last scene with that transition, wow.
OOF looking forward to that E36 M3 episode!!!!
@John Mitchell its green, so it is.
That’s my least favorite one 😐
E36 M3 is great. Everyone loves to bitch about the engine, but they're easy to add forced induction to, and they're an amazing chassis. Most underrated M3 for sure, more car than most people can handle lol
^ See? Lol
Light, agile, driver focused, legendary, great power to weight ratio, in-line E30 evo 5 mt Getrag box and e46 6 in-line naturally aspired hight revving engine n it’s sexy engine note!
Undoubtedly in the 2nd place after the legendary engineered Porsche 911 (993) are these two beasts! Late 80s n early 90s was the sports car era in my opinion n most automotive fanatics.
Well done Carfection👍🏼🙏🏼😊
Best looking award
Absolutely brilliant episode, can´t wait for the next one!!!
I never saw a opening scene as epic as this one.
90s BMW and Honda is simply magnificent.
Absolutely great video. Your set of facts, the film making itself, calm yet properly exciting choice of words, very well done!
Now that's a dream M3!
Carfection with Henry Catchpole hosting review of each gen for Bmw M3??.
ISN'T THIS A PERFECTION??.
The speedmaster you're sporting is also a masterpiece.
Can't wait for the rest of this series! Inspiring work guys!
You guys make some fantastic stuff. You may already know that the original Mini is 60 this year and you guys could make a film on it.
Cannot wait for the next one! Great job guys. Loved that you didn't do any of the drifting & burn-out stuff; sort of paying respect to the legend.
Knocking it out of the park with these transitions
M3 from 1987 is gonna be my project car in the future.
