I so love the E30. It brings back so many memories. Still have pictures of my red one with baby seat with my daughter in it, placed on the bonnet. She's now 24yo. I shared a tear of happiness for Chris 🥰😍
I didn't cry when either of my 3 daughters were born but this brought a tear to my eye 😭

What a lucky man. I nearly bought one of these in 1993 in the same colour . It was an M3 in lhd ( as were the norm) and the engine was sprayed gold, it looked fantastic. The BMW dealership was Canterbury, Kent in England and was priced at £14,999 on a F plate but like a fool i bought a TVR 400SE. The TVR dealership was called WLA based in Larkfield , Maidstone in Kent. The car was the same price as the BMW and was a beast to drive. The reg number was G649 BBY but looking back now i wished i bought the M3, not because the price of these has risen but the reliability and engineering was so good on these cars. Never mind i still had fun in the TVR (when it worked).

Really happy for the owner. To me owning an M3 is a blessing. To own a restored M3 Evo is unbelievable. I have always wanted an e30 but unfortunately I'm 60 and cannot afford one with to daughters in college. It's very nice seeing other fans of the e30 enjoy theirs rebuilt, restored or in progress. You used to be able to buy one for $1500. Just within the past ten years they have gone up to $8000-$12,000 hear in the states. So they are completely out of reach. When I see one on the street I still act like a kid who spotted Santa Claus.
Nowadays its rised around 50k-70k

The last M3 I loved was the E92 with that beautiful high revving N/A V8. It's only got worse from there with the fake engine noise, the Turbo Straight 6 and now the hideous grille they've put on the 2020 ones.

This video takes me back 30 years and confirms I’m still in love with the E30 M3 Evo. I’m fortunate enough to drive an F90 M5 having also had a succession of M cars over the years. As great as my car is (and it’s bloody brilliant!) there’s a saying....... ‘They don’t make them like they used to’. In this case that phrase is spot on. Well done, what a fantastic machine and a work of art 👍

@@MrJerrysaxx It's certainly 'prettier' than the M3 but, personally I think it's very slightly 'stubby'. I did consider buying a Giulia for my first car back in the day but opted instead for a Lancia Fulvia… very close call though!

We're from Denmark, but we do have a German franchise-department :) We have a price guarantee, so if you find a cheaper part at retail price, we will usually offer you a lower price. I am not sure if our German department does it though, as they are a franchise, but they should offer you the same price as a minimum :)
Imagine walking past something that looks like scrap then you see the rear pillars and that boot lid, dream. Who would let their e30 M3 fall into that state, heart breaking, happy another one is saved the new generation must see the old BMW

For those asking, yes this is a Greek owned car. It was left in storage and after the storage company fell through, the car was broken into and Scavenged for parts. However, when the owner discovered the state of the car wanted to restore it, and the rest you can see on video

I recently bought a 2001 325i for $800 as my 1st daily. While its not a performance car & its not perfect cosmetically, it's still a beautiful car & it still drives like a dream. Even with the miles & few things that needs replaced. I have become a BMW fan and i cant wait to make it perfect again. Id love to buy one brand new some day.

I had a E30 325i in the early 90’s and it was a fabulous car. BMW advertised it as a driving machine and they were right, it was the perfect drivers car.
That is the BEST SHAPE BMW ever manufactured, and performance to match.
That was Amazing, Awesome and the best rebuild ever. You guys that did the work are just the best ever. Thank you I enjoyed every second of the video.
My neighbor is a retired mechanic, who also has one of these, also red, first owner, kept absolutely pristine. In the last 5 years, he has received 16 offers for it, some of them exceeding the value of his house... he refused them all flat out.
Some even tried to steal it from him, in one of those cases, his dog bit off half of the burglar's butt cheek, which then he photographed and taped the picture to his garage door as a warning to all car thieves.
I've never in my life seen a man treasure an inanimate object more than my neighbor treasures his car!

Let me start of by saying thank you for sharing this journey with us. It's hard not to like BMW's especially the one that was restored to avant-garde perfection. Only real car guys get this, and I am from South Africa and it's a deep sadness to see guys using these E30's as spinners and drift cars. Pure abuse, no respect for the engineering wonders that was ahead of its time and I believe this is still ahead of its time. To the guys in the workshop you are like Dr's and surgeons working your wonder magic and to the owner you are a true gentleman and your passion is moving. I will always, always love the E30 BMW.......
That wasnt put into storage and vandalized it still had all its glass and interior that was a classic case of to much money and neglect that has been sitting in some field in Cyprus
They broke into the car and ripped out interior parts by hand - If that is not vandalism, i don't know what is :)
@@SchmiedmannBMWspecialist must be a different level of vandalism in Cyprus then cos any time I've seen a car vandalised the windows are the first thing broken(to get in firstly) and what about the pink paint that's obviously sun damage unless your going to say the vandals rubbed it down lol sorry but that car was neglected by a rich bloke simple as that not detracting from your a1 restoration shes beautiful again I just hope more care is taken of her this time
@@bozobaz30 Hi again. We're not allowed to tell all the details, as there was a court settlement between the owner and the storage facility. We can't tell you all the details, but the car was broken into - How I can't tell you. And the sun damage is because the storage facility left the car out in the sun after it was burglarized. The owner talked about publishing the story in a magazine at some point. If that happens, I will send you a link :) But thank you for the compliments! :)

Right.. I love the line "when he got it back.." as though it were in captivity or being held hostage. No.. more like, when he decided it was worth restoring and to give a shit about it again.
Hi! I would like to tell you the complete story, but the owner have settled in court with the storage facility, so there are parts of the story that I can't tell. But the story is, that the car was stored in Cyprus at a professional storage facility. Many years later the company was bought by another one, was broken into and almost all parts were stolen, and then the company left it out it in the sun afterwards. The owner (Who lives in the UK) did not get notified until years later, when he came back to Cyprus to see the car himself.

But again, just imagining how much this restoration would cost he probably got money to burn and an EVO is like a bag of peanuts that you lose somewere under the seat and forget about it.

First when I saw the car I was wondering why it had to come so far with that beauty from the owners side but then I realised what the Schmiedmann-Crew did to the car and the result is simply amazing. You guys did one hell of a job and all of you can truly be very very proud of being part of such an amazing project!!!

I saw this car at schmiedmann, odense, Denmark, before it got restored, at first sight i knew what it was! I work as car painter, back then for Nr. Lyndelse autolakering, we got offered to paint this but i think my boss declined offer (we had lots of cars to do) i was so excited hoping i was gonna work on this, sadly didnt happen, im glad u guys found another paint shop cus i quit there, now working even closer to schmiedmann (Pierre.dk Odense H) hopefully you guys and i will team up one day i LOVE bmws❤
