Amazing how many people think their BMW is worth money until you put it on a lift and laugh at them. Which is a bad thing to do, I am sorry..! I restore this stuff for a living and the e30 community is full of wonderful people, but they are quite often not realistic about the standard of their car. Great video as always Larry!! loved it.
These were good cars when they were $15k-20k for a nice one. They’re a laughable purchase at current prices. You can get a nice 991.2 for the same $. Give me the P car please.
Why would you laugh at the people that feed you? 😂 Tbf, I look at my e46 ti and laugh too. What have I done? I pray every night my rear subframe doesn't leave the chat 🤣
@@starfox_wr-45e93 Doing the rear subframe isn't as painful as people think, best thing to do is get it out and clean the void and the subframe, get a reinforcement kit on there, they are at that age now metal is getting really old.

In 2005 when i went to buy my first car i really wanted an e30 m3. There was one i almost got for 7500 but i was too hard headed and didn't want to borrow 2500 from my dad. So i bought an 87 325is for 2200. I still have my e30 20 years later but i wish I would of taken that loan to get the m3.😢
Chances are a $7500 E30 M3 still needed another $7500 put into it to get it up to snuff. They were great buys back then at that time, but at their current prices they don’t really offer any performance value. They’re collector cars whereas they used to be autox/track enthusiast cars, and it’s interesting to see the type of owners buying in these days and their personalities. It’s def a different bunch.
@@joeracer302 Would have been worth the investment. This is pretty much the golden era of BMW (1980's - 2005). Performance isn't everything. I have zero desire to buy a G87 M2.. you'd have to be giving it away, as I'd be the one spending $20k once all the modules decide to stop working at random, plus I'd have to blindfold myself every time I wanted to get into the ugly thing 😂
I also drove an E30 M3 around that time that was $7500 with a salvage title. I( have had a few non-M & love them. The newer ones just don't talk to me.
@@joeracer302 no it was just a great deal from a friend on the bimmerforums. Long before I even got my license i had been active on there. Mainly the forced induction board because I built and drag raced a turbo e36 with my dad which ended up being the 1st 1000whp 9 second 328 07-08.

If Larry was looking for BMW knowledge he should have driven a few more miles to Precision Sport Industries 🙈. I love what they do with their BMWs at PSI
I was concerned when I didn't see a Larry upload yesterday. More so bc of how much he was pushing his body and mind at that Porsche event (I know there's a lag between filming and uploading). Love the uploads but please get some rest my friend ❤️
Some genius decided to mark up an E30 M3 by 900%. And some fools bought them. That aside, the E30 M3 is one of BMW's most iconic design, but absolutely not a chance in Hell it's worth 300k
I used to be like matt having certain preferences and year types etc etc, but right now in 2024 with my budget, and crazy inflationary times we live in? shit if it makes cools sounds and doesnt break down thats good enough for me!! 🤣🤣🤣
The owner forgot one characteristic betwin the two e30 M3, the front fenders are different. The wing arches of the Sport Evolution are bogger than the regular M3 e30.
Damon should have an Exotic car for this personal use, come on this is DDE, the Murci LP would be a great car for that and a great car for the stories channel
I used to own a 1989 alpine white witrh a 2.5L motor.. I sold it in 2003 for $26000. I can tell you now that they are not worh the money they are getting now. They are slow and worn out...
I never looked at highest end paint jobs and I got what I felt was perfection for $7k. I want to know the bullet points for a $30k paint job. Acid bath?
There are way rarer models going for more money in South Africa haha. We are the 3series hub of the world, end of story. Multivavales gets punished over here
Well, the Sport Evolution "costs" 300,000 now. Years ago you could buy them for 20,000. Or less. I have one and let's see. It's not much faster because it never made 238 hp. The 2.5 engine block cracked. I know many broken. Of course the garage queens did not break. But the units that many people bought second, third or fourth hand did. Because these cars were cheap used. And people enjoyed them. I have a Sport Evolution. Black, as it should be.And it makes me laugh to see the figures that some pay.And I wonder where these "experts" were a few years ago.If they buy them to speculate, there is nothing to say.Everyone makes money as they can.But I It seems ridiculous to pay more than 50,000 for any M3 E30. Including the Sport Evo and the Evo2. Because the Ceccottos, Ravaglias and other commemorative editions are just pure aesthetics. Soon I will have to put a red ribbon on mine while I wait for the "expert" to give me I paid the 300,000 that I will ask for it. And by the way, the 190 16v is a little better than the M3. I also have one.

Thanks again for the beautiful footage, Larry!
That exhaust plate is not stock… nor are the aux gauges in the US spec m3.
the amount of confidence he said it with...
Finally, Larry goes to OG!
Sport evo normally has a different front bumper🤔
that techno violet e36 is absolutely gorgeous n shits on both e30s

Talking about evo with that gray Mitsubishi evo parked in the back is just beautiful

I’d take either or
I,ve owned two of these. The extra gauges are not standard and the exhaust plate on the evo is not standard.

These cars are very iconic in south Africa
Same same, but differenttttt
Matt is crazy. $155k on an E36 M3. That's what makes him who he is though and I love it.
and that is not correct m3 lol
Dude you have to come back to Orlando. I ordered your 7-11 shirt & your kaido house car, I need to get them signed for my collection 😂.
For a collector the e30 M3 is cool, but I need my fun cars to be fast. BMW relevance starts at the E46 M3 for me.

Sanding for weeks, paint quality, more sanding, buff. The price is more man hours than anything else, although some colors can get very expensive.
he said he didn't want to GoPro so i did greater
Obviously the red one is better
say that button watch that film they don't ever get in
The double din Radio on Matt's e36 just does not fit this is the only thing Holding the e36 back. Try the blaupunkt ones
1988
So why is it lighter in the front?
he just talk shite, probably just a feel of different rack or tyres on it.
The cheapest part of owning a BMW is when you first bought it (unless its a low milage E30 M3). Don't ask me how I know 😆😆
It's like the gt3 and gt3 rs
That an over inflated price 6k to rebuild cooling system on a E36 M3. Definitely not true.
