"Hello, Mr. Gein!" From Genius: "Dead Skin Mask is about Ed Gein, an American murderer and body snatcher from the mid-1900s who took bodies from caskets for the sake of keeping their bones and skin. He also admitted to killing two women in the 1950s. Gein was the inspiration for several famous horror movies and horror game villains, including Norman Bates from Psycho, Leatherface from Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Buffalo Bill from The Silence of the Lambs, and Eddie Gluskin from the video game Outlast."
When the police raided his house, they found furniture upholstered in human flesh, a belt made out of women's nipples, a skull used for a bowl of cereal, and a box of vaginas under his bed... (Among MANY other oddities) The vaginas had been used post mortem, and were painted with Aluminum oxide paint... To help preserve and keep them from rotting
"Every end of their song is like a Cliff hanger to the next one" Perfectly said brother! The first 5 Slayer albums with Dave Lombardo are just pure Musical Masterpieces!
Every time I hear that child scream, my skin crawls. It's been decades and it still creeps me out. The thing that most people miss is that there's no screaming from Tom. He's simply talking the whole time (screaming on "Fantasy and reality are the same"), justifying the mindset, KNOWING he's evil. But he does it anyway and he's calm about it.
I'm loving this channel so much. I love that it doesn't feel like you're trying to be someone you're not. You come off genuine, and you have a conversational style to where I feel like I'm sitting with you showing you metal songs 🤣🤣 loving your metal journey so far
Man I was home alone as a 14 year old listening to this on my headphones for the first time and that voice absolutely scared the shit out of me, they made it sound like the girl is in the room with you.
Dance with the dead in my dreams, listen to their hallowed screams, the dead have taken my soul, temptations lost all control..... This is one of my favorite Slayer songs
"Their Heavy Metal is so different to everything I've heard" They always kept the Root of Metal and that was the Power of Evil harnessed in Music. Glad you're liking Toms Vocals!
Imagine being 18 years old in Chicago Illinois in 1990 at the Aragon Ballroom 7th row seats. The craziest concert still to date in my life. I've never been that scared at a concert in my entire life. Sounded just like the album. I'm 51 now and that album is still my favorite Slayer album.
16 years old at the Birmingham NEC (UK) Clash of the Titans October 1990 - Suicidal Tendencies, Testament, Megadeth, Slayer. Unreal! Went to my first gig in March that year - Motörhead at Liverpool Uni, followed by Faith No More supported by Prong in April, Metallica in May and Iron Maiden supported by a Blaze-Bayley-fronted Wolfsbane in October, 9 days before Clash of the Titans. Finished the year out with Queensrÿche playing Operation: Mindcrime in full. All before I turned 17 in December. Gigs were so cheap back then. I think Motorhead was £9.50 and Iron Maiden was about £15. Crazy. Also played my first gig in my first band, doing Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth and Nuclear Assault covers. What a time to be a teenager!
Yes!!!! Been asking for this since Raining Blood!!! Lets Go!!!!!! Thank you bro, love this channel, keep it up, We are here enjoying your journey. " You're welcome on this one,"
"How I've waited for you to come. I've been here all alone. And now that you've arrived..please stay awhile. And I promise I won't keep you long. I'll keep you ...forever." Love that intro. My favorite Slayer song to play on guitar. My boys mom hated when we played this song cuz of the little girl screaming at the end. Always creeped her out... glad you got around to this one, it's a classic and was a live staple for years...Tom Araya (vocals) always started it the same way.."This is a story about a man named...EEEEEd. Who used to sleep and dance with the....deeaaaaaddd...DEAD. SKIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNN. MMMAAASSSSSSSSSSK." Mmm,can still hear him..man, I miss seeing them live.
Slayer at their best. You nailed it - Masterpiece. Controlled chaos. Wait until you get the lyrics into your head and listen to the whole album. Front to back classic.
It's funny, man. I was in high school when this one came out. This track gave me chills the first time I heard it. I've heard it at least a million time since. Still, chills. Every time. Really, I'm quite envious of you. Like I said, I've listened to Slayer a million times. I've seen them live, and even had the chance to meet them. The thrill you're getting from all of this is what I felt back in 1987 when I was first introduced to Reign In Blood. I've been chasing that first rush ever since. What I would give to be able to experience Slayer for the the first time...a second time. Revel in it, brother!
I know you didn't love War Ensemble so this is definitely the right direction. It's closer to a South of Heaven feel which I know you really liked. For another sick riff up your alley do Skeletons of Society when you get a chance!
I have been thoroughly enjoying your Heavy Metal journey. As a longtime metal head and musician, it brings great satisfaction to see your appreciation of all these bands. I can't wait to see your upcoming reactions, especially Gojira. There are so many awesome metal bands, even ones more obscure or not as well known. Here's a few to consider: Nevermore/Sanctuary, Orbit Culture, StoneHand, Lamb of God, and the list goes on....! Your journey has just begun my friend.🎸
I'm 46 now but when this album.... actually a CD and a Cassette..lmao😅...dropped my Freshman year on a high school..age 15...it saved my life!🎉❤ The bullies were scared sh*tless of this sound..albums and Slayer themselves..A lil evil sounding helped me out that year..then with the angry music...I found out I had a hell of a uppercut and right cross..LMAO ❤
The first Slayer song I heard was Evil Has No Boundaries live from the Live Undead album. It was on the Stars on Thrash compilation. Then I picked up Til Def Do Us Part, a Def American sampler that had War Ensemble and Dead Skin Mask. It also had Danzig, Trouble, Masters of Reality and a few others. Also their cover of Inna Gadda Da Vida on the Less Than Zero soundtrack. I picked up the albums after that but those four songs are still classics to me.
I love watching reactions to this music because it helps me remember how great it is. I’ve heard these songs so much, I miss this part or that part. Almost take it for granted. Thank you for helping me remember. And YES! Love it all. I am a full on metalhead, but I can totally get into all kinds of music! I can get in to Justin Bieber or Rihanna, but then I can go right I to some Obituary or Death or Deicide. I love some good rap or old school country. LOVE IT ALL. If it’s good, it’s good.
First off, glad to see you finding Slayer. Truly the greatest band ever. I'd recommend Gemini from the Undisputed Attitude album. It's slower and still hateful, heavy, and evil.
Seasons in the abyss and south of heaven are some of the best albums out there. I remember when these albums came out. Many of these harder metal bands didn't get airplay, and the only way you knew of these bands was from word of mouth.
This is my second favorite slayer song! I am 47 years old and been listening to them for decades. I love your videos. I have been going through a lot in my life and your videos have been putting a smile on my face everyday. I would to recommend the song Of the abyss by the band Lorna shore. They are a little heavier but I think you would enjoy it a lot.
Your reaction to this song was priceless! The song is very eerie and haunting, especially at the end with the girl speaking. When you find out this song is about the serial killer Ed Gein, it really adds that extra level of creepiness. 🤘🔥
yeah this song goes hard :) i been listening to slayer for like 10 years or longer but like on and off though of course... So many bands exist just like anything in life basically... I like the Slayer - silent scream song a lot. Have a good weekend yall SLAYYYYYEEERRRRRRRRRR!
My introduction to THIS song, was also my 1st experience on LSD … had to walk home 10 miles, at 4am. “Dance with the DEAD IN MY DREAMS Listen to the hollowed screams The dead have taken my soul…” -with the little girl voice, left a rather poignant impression upon my conscience.
Can't tell you how excited I was to see you reacted to this song! So fu*king hard dude. Personally if I could only listen to one Slayer song for the rest of my life, this would be my one 😈🤘
Well done young man, Google Ed Gein and it was what this song is about. I was never allowed to go to Slayer . Son's said no. Took me to Metallica,( under protest) Iron Maiden, Motorhead and a few others but I snuck in to Megadeth thanks to a security guard. But Slayer was a dead on NO!!! Not safe. Considering one came home with a broken nose from a mosh pit I guess they were correct. They played this album so much I almost could tell you the lyrics. That was 20 years ago and they still love Slayer.. To bad you came to this earth to late. Love a 70 year old fan of yours.
Just wait til you hear the whole album "Seasons in the Abyss". It's a bit more lite/subdued than their others, but still a complete banger in every way. You're gonna love it hard! Keep going my friend. I love your music choices and reactions. Cheers bro and good day!
"Thats SLAYER up there! Do you wanna DIE?!" - My friend's reaction to me saying that I wanted to go down to the floor, on this tour. I was 15 😂 i left his ass in the seats and had the best time!
Slayer, in their live shows, always had their staple songs to play.. which of course were Angel of Death, and Raining Blood.. but attached to RB, was a song with the best intro of all.. Hell Awaits.. Check that one out!.. A must in the Slayer experience.
I’ve got a patch of this album on my vest, every song is a banger, front to back. Also, just dropping another recommendation for Gojira, ain’t nothing like a good old-school Gojira track. Love the stuff man!
Finally you've gotten yourself to listening to the song that I have suggested for your introduction to the band along with 'Seasons in the Abyss'. Popular demand is often far from being the best suggestion.
This album is my favorite from Slayer. I was in my senior year in HS when this came out and grew up on the SW side of Chicago. Fast forward 11yrs and on a whim to escape the rat race my life had become my girlfriend and I moved to rural central WI to start over. Now I'm less than an hour from Plainfield, WI where Ed Gein inspired this song. Evil people are everywhere.
Well, look at that! Request fulfilled and on "my Friday" evening too! Thanks for that, and glad you liked it! I hope it gets lots of views but still, you had to hear that one, haha. And yes, the tempo is slower. Quite a bit slower. The creepy voice at the end has always made me picture some sort of shrunken, dehydrated severed head floating around in the walls.😅 It's a great tune for late October. Fuckin' SLAYER🤘
I'm truly shocked that no one has asked you to react to Kerry Kings' new band. KERRY KING "FROM HELL I RISE" is the name of the new album. He has released the first song from the album. It's " IDLE HANDS" and let me just say this. If you like SLAYER? You WILL LOVE "IDLE HANDS." He did an amazing job of selecting his new band members. 🙏 Please 🙏 take the time to do a reaction video to KERRY KINGS NEW BAND. You will honestly love it.
Love your open mind! I remember recommending Slayer to you (along with several others, I'm sure) back when you had just started reacting to Metallica. I suggested "Angel of Death" as I knew it would be a leap into something quite different music-wise. It's so cool you've been through several of their songs now. My recommendation for reactions now is a band that you haven't been recommended thus far. The band is/was from England (Nottingham) called Sabbat. In my book, they recorded 2 albums in 1988 and 1989 ( I don't count the one from 1990 as it was not with Martin Walkyier and just not the same). Lyrics-wise, this band was known to be the best, Martin being a wordsmith. You would thoroughly enjoy this band. Usually, I always recommend the order to be chronological (I probably have a letter combination of some sort), yet in this case, I'd suggest you begin with the first song from their second album (after the intro) called "The Clerical Conspiracy." I believe you'll love it! :)
Chocolate Cake Ingredients: CAKE 1 ½ cups flour 1 cup dutch processed cocoa powder 1 teaspoon salt 1 ½ teaspoons baking soda ½ teaspoon baking powder 1 ½ cups stout 1 tablespoon vanilla extract 1 tablespoon espresso powder 1 cup butter 1 ½ cups sugar 3 eggs ½ cup mayonnaise 4 oz dark chocolate, chopped BUTTERCREAM 1 ½ cups butter, softened 1 tablespoon vanilla extract ½ cup dutch processed cocoa powder 5 cups powdered sugar 5 tablespoons milk fresh fruit, to decorate Preparation 1. Grease and line three 8-inch (20 cm) cake tins with parchment paper. 2. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside. 3. In a large glass measuring cup, combine the stout, vanilla, and espresso powder. Set aside. 4. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until it is light and fluffy, about 5 minutes, scraping down the sides occasionally to ensure all the ingredients are being evenly creamed together. 5. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next. 6. Add the mayonnaise and beat until the mixture is smooth and creamy. 7. Preheat oven to 325˚F (160˚C). 8. Alternate adding the prepared dry and wet ingredients to the batter. Starting with about ⅓ of the dry ingredients, beat until incorporated. Then add ⅓ of the liquid ingredients, mixing until the batter comes together. Continue until all the wet and dry ingredients have been incorporated. 9. Using a rubber scraper, fold the dark chocolate chunks into the batter. 10. Distribute the batter evenly between the 3 prepared cake tins. 11. Bake for about 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. 12. Place the cakes on a cooling rack and leave to cool for about 10-15 minutes, until the outside of the pan is cool enough to touch. 13. Once the cakes have cooled, loosen the edges using a butter knife. Then place a large plate over the tin and invert to release the cake from the pan. Remove the parchment paper from the bottom of the cake and slide the cake back onto the cooling rack to cool completely. Repeat for the remaining two layers. 14. While your cakes are cooling, prepare the buttercream. 15. In a large bowl, beat together the butter and vanilla. 16. Gradually add in the cocoa powder, powdered sugar, and milk, continuously beating until all the ingredients have been incorporated and the frosting is light and fluffy. 17. Frost and decorate to your liking. 18. Slice and serve. 19. Enjoy.
I've always liked Slayer, but I never got beyond appreciating their hits on the Metal radio station...this is really a fun dive for me because I kinda slept on them...like you've said in a previous react...they totally sound like a Horror Movie soundtrack...
You’re really going to love the title track. This albums tracks live really hit hard, as others have said check out Decade of Aggression for epic live Slayer. Awesome as always Molly 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Ed was commited to a max-security mental hospital in my hometown (Madison, WI) and a friend of mine had a family member that worked Ed's wing ... said he was a super nice guy😀

Ed Gein was one fxcked up individual. He still makes my skin crawl.
Also known as the Butcher of Plainfield or the Plainfield Ghoul...Slayer has a song (213) about Dahmer.
If I'm ot wrong that's his son singing that part.
@@haterade9031 213 has always been one of my favorites

SKELETONS OF SOCIETY! good groove

If you like this song molly try the song 213.....it's about another famous serial killer ......
It's slayers love song 😊
Loved that song since high school, lol. Hence the name.
I love the main riff, so crisp and brutal.
213 is a killer song ( pun intended ) inspired by Jeffrey Dahmer and his crimes..was his apt. # if I remember correctly
Ahh yes, another great tune. This one is a mid paced song with a slower but very gloomy intro. Divine Intervention is such a great album.
"213" is absolutely horrifying. Definitely the best song off that album. 🤘
SLAAAYERRRRRR!
This is a banger. The lyrics and story give me chills. This is a true story like many of Slayers songs
Slayer at their best.
You nailed it - Masterpiece. Controlled chaos. Wait until you get the lyrics into your head and listen to the whole album.
Front to back classic.

And yes, the tempo is slower. Quite a bit slower. The creepy voice at the end has always made me picture some sort of shrunken, dehydrated severed head floating around in the walls.😅 It's a great tune for late October.
Fuckin' SLAYER🤘
I f* cking love this song! I had a necromancer on EverQuest named Deadskinmask 😂😂
Liking this before I even watch the video. 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Ah! The ballad of Ed Gein! ❤
Chocolate Cake
Ingredients:
CAKE
1 ½ cups flour
1 cup dutch processed cocoa powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 ½ cups stout
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon espresso powder
1 cup butter
1 ½ cups sugar
3 eggs
½ cup mayonnaise
4 oz dark chocolate, chopped
BUTTERCREAM
1 ½ cups butter, softened
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
½ cup dutch processed cocoa powder
5 cups powdered sugar
5 tablespoons milk
fresh fruit, to decorate
Preparation
19. Enjoy.
Those guitars man. More more🤙🤘
I've always liked Slayer, but I never got beyond appreciating their hits on the Metal radio station...this is really a fun dive for me because I kinda slept on them...like you've said in a previous react...they totally sound like a Horror Movie soundtrack...
The whole album is amazing
This is my favorite Slayer album, straight through banger!
You’re really going to love the title track. This albums tracks live really hit hard, as others have said check out Decade of Aggression for epic live Slayer.
Awesome as always Molly 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Kerry King "rip" wrote all these lyrics off these early albums, I suggest "read between the lies " off the South Of Heaven LP 🤘🏻🤘🏻
haha...love watching you listen to SLAYER
Ed was commited to a max-security mental hospital in my hometown (Madison, WI) and a friend of mine had a family member that worked Ed's wing ... said he was a super nice guy😀
