Hey MollyBoy, if you want a fun fact about this song... There's a line in here about "smiling a black toothed grin." Dimebag from Pantera (RIP) was inspired by this to invent a cocktail: The Black Toothed Grin. Two shots of Seagram's 7, two shots of Crown Royal and a splash of Coke. Try it!

'Trust' basically sounds like 'Enter sandman' if you listen, In my opinion their Worst album and 1 of their most boring songs. Though Megadeth never went down the commercial path much, like Metallica, and Megadeth still release bangers.

The Drummer is Nick Menza, RIP. This is Megadeth at the height of that lineup! Rust In Peace was a Thrash Masterpiece, but it was mostly written by Dave still, Countdown to Extinction, was a more collaborative effort and produced some amazing tunes as well! You should listen to Ashes In Your Mouth, off that same album!

Mid section is called “bridge”. Generally all old school metal bands got it right after 2nd chorus; it is basically “party time”; solos kick in, new riffs introduced; w etc. When you go for “Frayed Ends of Sanity”(tallica) or some Maiden shit, you’ll thank me about “the bride” section!🤘🏼

  • @giladtchelet104

Metal like Rock and Pop music is based on the Blues structure, which is built from A part (usually the verse) B part (usually the chorus) and the C part which is what you are referring to, usually a C part is the breakdown or solo or the a change of scale or whatever. Also, when you hear the A or B or C part at the end of the song but different it called Coda
Megadeth are one of my personal favorites of all time and Dave is a true warrior, overcome cancer in his vocal chords and also a total loss of his control over his left arm and re-learned to play guitar. Still performs and still produces great music till today \m/

i don't know how many bands you've got on the list still but might i add Manowar? they're another heavy metal band that's been around sense the 80s and they're not as popular as metallica or megadeth but they're friggin amazing. the lead singers vocals as well are pretty crazy. at least try one song from them. you wont regret it. try out Warriors of the World United.
if you like it, maybe also listen to Die for Metal and Spirit Horse of the Cherokee. the vocals in the latter are amazing.

Since video is the way to get the music.. I HIGHLY recommend watching the song "She Wolf" Live from the Rude Awakening tour DVD. Of course, available on you tube. It does have some extended guitar work, and a short drum solo in it, but still wraps up nicely. You will see the full arsenal of Megadeth on display. The entire DVD is great.
And seeing how you are diving into the metal/Thrash/Rock genres, and enjoying the ride for the most part, may I suggest you throw a day in here and there for the one hit wonders of those genres? There have been some bands seldom heard of except by die hard bangers, that have produced some of the greatest anthems and pioneered tunes that stand the test of time. Some have several kick ass tunes, but get drowned out by the big 4.
    Some examples
Exodus - Bonded By Blood (Kirk Hemet started this band before joining Metallica. Thrash Gods)
    Testament - The Ballad
Helloween - Halloween (Epic Metal Anthem) Listen to the record, not the video.
    Nuclear Assault - Critical Mass

Like I said. I'm not a fan of Dave politically, but damn are his lyrics, musically ability, and just overall attitude, something to aspire to, also. There is just something cathartic about Megadeth for me. Like, I don't agree with all his points, but the points I do agree with stand out for sure.
