Have a great day folks!
JPRPokeTrainer98 you too
Aye thanks for this JPR, glad this series exists!
You too
JPRPokeTrainer98 I love Gen 5 so much, it is easily my favorite everything when it comes to Pokémon, my favorite soundtrack music, my favorite Pokémon, favorite games pretty much everything except the anime, I wish the anime was better than it was, because it deserves to be, but alas, nope, I still think the gen 5 anime is better than the gen 1 anime, the gen 1 anime was total trash,
Will do. I must say that I would have played Black long ago if it wasn't a DSi enhanced game however.
If you didn't know that means you can only play games with the exact same region if it is a DSi or 3DS being used. I could pull out an older DS model that probably still works but that kept me away from Pokemon 5th gen in part.
Im happy that everyone is starting to appreciate Black and White. People used to hate on it.
ikr!! it's so underrated in my opinion, honestly black and white 2 are definetly in my top 3 pokemongames
Agreed
So damned underrated.
exactly! ive always loved it but all my friends thought it was trash smh
I agree.
Gen 5 has...
- Great story
- Great Pokémon
- Great graphics
But most importantly...
*It brought us the theme song of the mighty walccing god Furret*
LOL XD
Also great music
I mean for the DS maybe good graphics
@Istromus That’s true. I think Gen 4 and Gen 5 had the best music out of the whole series. Personally I prefer Gen 4’s music a little more due to nostalgia from growing up with Diamond / Pearl, but Gen 5 still has so many great tracks like Driftveil City, Route 10, N’s Theme, the Elite Four, and Hugh’s theme.
*H E W A L C C*
BW2, pound for pound, are the best games in the series.
It's a shame that due to the Gen 5 backlash, GameFreak stopped putting true effort into the main series.
I don't think the backlash from gen 5 is why they stopped putting real effort into the games. They just understood that we will buy the games and the merchandise no matter how good the games are.
What is the point of trying to make a good game when your revenue comes from poke-plushies, poke-cards, poke-candy, poke-toys, poke-figures etc.
@@magnusharboe9426 nah it was definitely the backlash it showed that people didnt want new things and they wanted the traditional pokemon nothing new which gen 5 tried to do something new.
Also Pokemon GO was really the nail in the coffin. It was too successful.
Mighty Mitochondria I still think HG/SS is the best due to the sheer content, but BW2 are very close
@@lukerandall9278 HGSS are my personal favorites too.
I don’t think people understand the genius of B2/W2 as opposed to every other sister game ever made. As opposed to being virtually the same game with added new content intended to make past titles virtually obsolete.
B2/W2 reversed this by basically remixing it’s already existing content. Continue the story on top of it, while essentially retaining the relevancy of its vanilla counterparts as a product. Because of how extraordinarily well Gen V handled with the level of diversity of its version exclusive content it’s the only generation I feel content with owning all 4 of the main series games as opposed to just 1 with the most content. There were a lot of elements introduced in Gen V that not only became staples but should have remained staples to this day.
But the manga is yet to finished even to this day...
Same gen 5 is the only one where I own and have played all the games. White, Black, White 2 and Black 2. Loved them all.
Stupid platinum, making diamond and pearl obsolete
@@peeface2963 The only Sinnoh game I’ll probably ever play. *Cough* D/P remakes GF *cough*
Honestly my only regret is not picking white because those pokemon in the white forest you cant get anywhere else. I wish they kept white forest in white 2.
I loved this generation, so many amazing locations, plot points, characters, and track(oh yeah and that incredible animated trailer). These games stick with me the most, I still remember the sleepovers I had with friends just so we could play Pokémon. Hell my friend even bought the other version so he could play through it again and try and finish it in a day. It’s so weird that it didn’t get an anime though.
I actually liked the Gen 5 anime. I know it's widely hated by fans, but I really enjoyed it.
Doug Varney cool, I personally wasn’t a huge fan of it but everyone has their own opinion.
It always confused me how the anime was generally considered the worst even though the game had the best story of all the games in pokemon. Like damn man so much potential
I envy youngins like you. I loved this generation and I'm what you kids would call a genwunner
@@chrono4425 lol, yeah. It was like the inverse of the situation.
"what do you mean I can't encounter hundreds of Magikarps and Zubats!?"
you killed me there! ROFLOL!!!
To be honest, I'd choose Zubat over Woobat every single time
@@gonzalodiaz9326 I also love myself some Crobats.
The same can be said about Pikachu, Geodude, Machop, Abra, Goldeen, Tentacool, & others that are just throw-ins staples.
Tentacool would've been better
@@Gatitasecsii Jellicent is a unique water ghost type with distinguish gender forms, tentacool was everywhere in the other games when surfing in the sea routes.
Black 2 and White 2, along with HeartGold and SoulSilver, are my favorite Pokémon games of all time. The quality of the story, characters, graphics, and settings is awesome, and the sheer amount of content is breathtaking.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Yoo same dude
that's how I feel about the ultra games honestly I really liked the plot characters settings yeah the post game wasn't the best but not the worst for me it was fine
Same.
I haven’t gotten to play b2/w2 yet but I 100% agree with ss/hg
This game is so underrated and does not deserve the criticism is gets. The music is outstanding and the story is great. Some designs of Pokémon were bad but some of the best came out of gen 5 (Volcarona)
agreed, I think people get way too hung up on a handful of Pokemon designs that they can just ignore
@@JPRPokeTrainer98 Look how they buffed up even the regional early bug types Leavanny and Scolipede are monsters
People act like gen 5 was the only one with derpy or uncreative pokemon designs because of nostalgia. Every generation has its handful of crappy designs.
@@nenchevpanayot ikr I'm one of the person who enjoys all designs so I like the trubbish stunfisk etc design and their main point of hate was in animate objects which was stupid because chandelure is probably the best inanimate object pokemon of all time
I'm the only one who love Trubbish ? his design is at the same time gross, goofy and kawaii, plus Garbodor get a badass and scary vibe. It's way better than Grimer and Muk but you know those genwunners..
Playing Pokémon since 98, and out of all the main series titles. Gen V resonates with me the most, has aged well the most, has my favorite soundtrack, storyline, region (I’m a native New Yorker), Gyms (B2/W2 especially), league, Dex, and overall staple changes to the core formula of how Game Freak has been trying to streamline the series into a more effective formula.
joshua frazier native newyorker here too from Brooklyn this is definitely my favorite generation
Pokemon Black and White is my first true pokemon game. I loved every bit of it. Two rivals, unique and lively sprites, and Unova-only pokemon before you beat the league. Not to mention, the story and the green-haired beloved character, N! I was a little down when I lost a Pokemon Black copy, but I still have Black 2.
Same here, but I still have my copy of Black up on a shelf overlooking my setup. Somehow I haven't played Black 2, I really need to play it! I've gone back and played Platinum and Soulsilver, and have played every game that has came out since (not both per gen, but one of the two).
I find the best thing about the second title is that it really feels like a fresh game also the flashbacks if you had the first titles..just awesome
Same I played Pokemon black as my first Pokemon game and it is still my favorite Pokemon game to this day
CliffTurbo time to get a second hand copy!
To me Gen 5 was the peak of the pokemon mainline games, after that gamefreak has been nothing but trial and error with new mechanics and weird choices.
In my opinion gen 6 was amazing mega evolution was an amazing choice to go through
@Jancy Varghese
Sure they were.
Says the guy with Red as his profile pic.
@Jancy Varghese
I can digest facts.
But can you digest other people's opinions?
Also are you implying that I don't like gen 1-4? Because I do.
@Jancy Varghese
And you clearly didn't digest MY opinion when you decided to reply to my comment in the first place. FAM.
@Jancy Varghese
Stating your opinion as a fact and not as an opinion.
Gen 5 > Gen 1.
End of discussion.
There is an extremely good argument for Gen 5 being the strongest in the series. Amazing games.
@Jancy Varghese Nah hgss is the best
@Jancy Varghese can't tell if you're trolling with "way more superior"???
@Jancy Varghese No I was genuinely curious if you were trolling or not, I'll assume you aren't. Why do you think FR/LG are better?
The starters are the worse of any generation tho, which is a real shame
@@deeznoots6241 totally agree actually. Gen 5 was the first gen I didnt use my starter at the end of the game.
the last truly great generation imo.
Sun and moon (not ultra) were great
@Khalid Junior pokemon has never been balanced
Also i'm not really competitive so story is more important to me and sun and moon have the best story (with lillie's arc and lusimine is the best villian in the series)
@Khalid Junior also aren't ultra beasts banned
mystery person195 no
@@mysteryperson1958 gen 7 is horrible imo, just a linear text corridor brainless drag.
N is the best character AND Black and White is the best looking game FIGHT ME!
Colress & BW2>N & BW1
noahnoobfax why would you say something so controversial yet so brave?
@@noobfax4395 I respect your opinion but... I still think N is better
AveryTubeHD N? You mean “THAT FREAK!”
BW looks ugly and pixelated af, hgss looks better
Nowadays, Masuda is receiving lots of flack, but you can’t say that he didn’t make any good decisions beforehand.
I wish Gen 5 Masuda was still at the helm. Gen 5 is the peak of the series in my opinion, coming from someone who started with Gen 1 in the 90’s.
@El Diabeetus
My prediction is that either he is making promises that he wishes he can keep, but can’t, or over the years, he became overwhelmed by greed.
@@EIDiabeetus but it is Gen 5 Masuda. He is the same person, with the same care for the series. Just like he said in his response.

PWT is the greatest addition to any Pokémon game ever. That is all.
I'd argue it's Emerald's Battle Frontier :)
PWT is up there tho.
@@charliez077 And Sinnoh.
@@Nosretep Sinnoh BF is imo worse. still good, but it has fewer facilities (and Battle Pike or especially Battle Pyramid were very fun/challenging). also there are secrets to be found in the Emerald BF area...
The sad thing is this why they stop trying cause they tried so hard and everyone hated it ... that’s why we get fewer things
@@charliez077 Sinnoh BF is more refined. more competitive items/moves, less rng hax, more variety of pokemon and its after the physical/special split (also less useless facilities)
Gen 5: Let's make a thought provoking story, amazing villians, awesome Pokemon and a awesome soundtrack.
Gen 8: Lmao just cut everything out
They got sadly alot of undeserved hate from the gen wunners on gen 5..and now since x/y look what pokemon has become..they really deserve the critique for the past years and their new direction
"thought provoking" sure if ur like 11yo
@@p.i.m.p8208 There are underlying story elements that aren't spelled out. Yes. It's thought provoking.
@@TheAbsol7448 like?
@@p.i.m.p8208 Ghetsis as a character isn't spelled out for you, which is why he confuses a lot of people. He only pretended to want to free Pokemon.
The underlying story element was that he was using that idea and lie to puppet N. Why get rid of Pokemon? To eliminate the threat. Trainers with Pokemon are a threat. He wanted to take over Unova, but that were in the way. That was a really smart reason for why at face value, he made no sense in BW.
This is the best generation personally. I love Black and White and their sequels.
The game still had it's flaws
Jamie. Me too.
Arrow Strike. So does other Pokemon games.
And even if BW/BW2 have flaws, there only an minority to there flaws. And the games themselves still manage to be an outstanding games.
@@jjc4924 then why were people complaining about it to begin with, plus some of there Pokemon battles were unfair.
Arrow. Because people complain about the Pokemons that were introduced in Gen. 5 & gow they don't lime the design & hiw BW1 doesn't bring back old Pokemon & calling it an bad game. Which I find that horrendous & I disagree. Also, I don't remember BW1 & BW2 having unfair moments. I don't know what your regarding too.
Gen 5 imo is where Pokémon hit their peak, great story, great characters, great Pokémon, amazing music, overall gen 5 is probably my favorite generation along side the gen 2 games
I agree.
Alot of people saying gen 5 is so underrated, but everybody loves it now
It _is_ underrated.
Personally, I see more ppl hating on gen5 than ppl praising it
Roshan B i havent seen anyone hating on it in a long time
It use to be underrated. Now everyone starting to love it & I really appreciated it.
Cause everybody that grew up and played it as kids are older now and actually are starting to have a voice in the community and aren’t just getting ridden off as kids.....
@@BigKell same thing with gen 4
The best Generation imo.
Especially B2W2
Facts
B2 was my first pokemon game i played
Have you played heart gold n soul silver?
BOB IGOR RUINED STAR WARS NOT JUST KATHLEEN
Yes. 2 regions was a good idea, but poor execution. It completely ruins the level curve.
@@ArcticSounds imo the level curve was completely fine after game. I just always struggle during the 1st round of the eliete 4 because at that specific point my pokemon are lower leveled. Besides that, the second region was a good choice and it gave u gym badges to complete, quests to finish. I think they executed it well
Gen 5
- great story
- Amazing Characters ( f.e N)
- better Rivals
- the Most Beautiful Animations
- The Music
- The Pokémon
- The amazing sequels/originals
- great evil Team
- The amazing Region
- The great postgame of the sequels
I really don’t understand the hate. The only bad thing about this Generation was the Anime adaptation 😂
yeah Best Wishes was really the only shitty part about gen 5, the games however where fantastic
Pour one out for the high point of the series, Gen 5.
Most underrated generation ever! B2W2 aged SO well.
I agree.
used too be most underated now it is perfectly fine where it is at
Aand now it has become the most overrated games in the series with people starting to pretend they are completely flawless masterpieces ascending above other games in the series as shown by the comment section on any video talking about them...
@@V-Jes well, it still leagues better than the mediocrity that is sword and shield
@@gamedominatorxennongdm7956 not really when all pokemon games are around the same quality (except the original versions of Gen 1 and 2 as those have just aged badly).
The Critical Health Theme isn’t that bad. After Gen 4’s ear piercing beeping anything is better.
You think Gen 4's is bad? Try getting to low health in Gen 1 or 2. Not only does it murder your ears, but it also interferes with the actual battle music. They lowered the volume of the beeps in Gen 3 and 4, before creating true perfection in Gen 5.
...after which the entire idea was scrapped and we went back to beeping.
Gen 5 is my fave its all round perfect
@Jancy Varghese Have Pokemon rivals ever been strong though? If your Pokemon is a higher level, it's a guaranteed win most of the time.

That same said trash bag dominated the trading card game for a while as well.
Gen 5 is the best generation, and the one I love the most. It had an actual story, cool characters, and some of the best Pokémon designs in the franchise. It also had a great sequel and some good postgame content. Even if it has some flaws like locking Challenge Mode behind 1 version and having some pretty controversial monster designs, it's still the most fondly remembered Pokémon generation. *Now, if only the next generation didn't screw everything up! I have a lot to say about it!*

Unova Unova Unova!

I personally like gen 4 but gen 5 was an awesome generation too!
Oh boy.. What about Gen 8...
Have you mentioned reusable TMs? I might have missed that.
Nail Soy the best thing ever introduced, if only they could have also got rid of HM requirements in the gen
Deez Noots At least Sun and Moon finally scrapped HMs.
@@deeznoots6241 I like how they could be used for items but only cut is needed
@@deeznoots6241 I don’t know. That made TMs very cheap to use.
Back when gamefreak used to actually try on new Pokémon games
Edit: gen 6 pretty good too, despite being easy, those were probably the last good games
Alot if people called gen 6 and 7 too easy, but I've had the around the same level of difficulty through all the pokemon games I've played, gen 1-5 were a bit harder . I actually think ultra sun and moon had some difficulty. I like the sos calls of the totem pokemon and how they would assist the totem pokemon by healing or defending them. Ultra Necrozma was actually pretty hard
with its stats and typing.
I preferred 7 over 6, ORAS was great though
I hated when everyone was calling gen 5 bad. It was my favorite! I never felt the same refreshing vibes it was like playing red as a kid. I spent a long time on route 3 trying to get a female blitzle as zebras as my favorite animal lol and triples I miss then dearly I loved that format and wish for its return. Was I the only person in love with the low hp music? It made me panic lol
I loved that music too
My favorite generation. I played it when I was still new to Pokemon and that was the game that got me hooked.
I'd personally have to say that gen 5 is one of the best generations of Pokemon in my opinion. I think the fact that my favorite type (Bug type) being a common type and new type combinations coming into existence really helped make the experience very enticing and worth while to have. The one thing I still wish to this day is that we as the player could choose what to do after finishing the post-game story, because I would choose to be a trainer in the Castelia gym.
Gen 5 Bug Pokemon are sick!!
@@JPRPokeTrainer98 I highly agree JPR. I mean, It's all thanks to my experiences in gen 5 that I even found out the type that I'm able to use at levels unlike any other. One thing I learned by playing gen 5 is: It's not about the cards you're given, it's how good you are at playing the cards in your hand. (EX: I'm so good with Bug types, that I can even surpass the Dragon type.)

This was the generation that actually got me back into Pokémon after playing the first and second ones. Great vid! 👍🏼
Quintin Espinosa the gen i started in, worked backwards into 4, 3, 2, 1, then went forward, these games are my absolute favorite of all time and nothing can change that. Agreed.
i can't believe people hated these games, when i was able to do the memory link that scene with N releasing his Pokemon made me cry cx
Remember when Masuda cared about the quality of his games?
When gen 5 flopped, he had to change his style from story to playability for kids. It's not lesser quality but for a different audience
Gen 5 is so underrated it needs more love
Jancy Varghese stfu it is underrated and is insanely good
Jancy Varghese If you think it’s overrated that’s your opinion but don’t insult people over it. And quite frankly it is underrated for a lot of reasons stated in the video and fixes more issues in sequels making it one of the most ambitious gens. Tbh Hugh was the best rival in any Pokémon
Jancy Varghese fair enough lol
@Jancy Varghese RBY is an example of overrated, but I'm glad it's not as overrated as it used to be.

I always give gen 5 an A plus but finally seeing someone not hate it and give it an A is awesome and also shows that you're not as stubborn as other fans of pokemon. Adding something new to ever game and changing up the formula is awesome too. I think pokemon rn though should either make a very mature game (still be rated E for everyone but a game even adults could enjoy such as breath of the wild) which has an amazing story or an amazing world with an open world of exploration. And honestly we've seen so many new features and it think mega evolution Is generally considered as the best and in gen 9 we should go back to that

I love THE ABSOLUTE HELL out of Pokemon Black 2. It was my favorite game of all time after I played it and it still is to this day. I always have a blast whenever I play it and I think it has been my most replayed Pokemon game. Long live the 2s
I love Gen 5. It was the first gen that I started going after leaks and that stuff. I had like 10-12 years at the time, and it was so exciting 💗 Ppl hated the pokes but I dont think they are that bad. I actually liked how everything was new and fresh. In every gen I like to get pokes only from the gen itself (not old pokes), except in remakes and 3rd versions (such as Platinum or USUM). So for me it wasnt a problem not having old pokes. My favorites are BW. Although BW2 had World Tournament and old pokes, BW had a better story and rivals.. Hugh was kinda meh for me..
There's definitely not that many cutscenes in these games. And there is a bit of exploration to be done before and after you beat the game.
My first region, can’t wait until these games get re-made
Scrafty- TV why? Now that the AI is dumb and the games are easy?
Do you really want to play through Unova and have no difficulty at all defeating the gym leaders, elite four and team plasma. All for the sake of some better looking graphics.
The graphics look great still
They'd likely butcher them like they did with Hoenn, sadly...
@@TheAbsol7448 ORAS was fine, give me reasons why hoenn was "butchered"
@@Hetsu..
-Mocked the fans who were expecting the Battle Frontier both with an "under construction" sign and using mobile games as an excuse.
-Character redesigns were terrible and not true to the original characters. Mainly the team admins and May.
-Game was offensively easy, even without Megas or the Exp. Share.
-Music was incredibly disappointing.
-Didn't have NEARLY as much content to offer as HGSS, where the producer directly stated "we got greedy with how much content we were giving the players".
-The Legendaries had no reason to be there, like they did in B2W2. It felt incredibly forced.
-No character customization.
-Some gym puzzles were dumbed down.
-Pikachu forms because GOTTA SELL THAT MERCH, AMIRIGHT!?
-All of this could've been fixed because the modeling was already out of the way thanks to XY.
Yes. Hoenn was butchered compared to FRLG and HGSS. It's pathetic because they could've simply made a catching simulator instead of remaking Kanto. The game existed purely off the technical limitations that prevented trade between RBY/GCS and RS. No one expected a full blown remake. When ORAS was announced, people were expecting a remake with as much effort put into it as HGSS.
Best pokemon channel on youtube. Period.
Watching this while I play my Nuzlocke of White 2. I've actually never played through this game before, as I unfortunately skipped gens 4 and 5 because of school and losing my old DS as a kid. Such a great game!
Gen 5 music slaps different.
Two additional things to mention
The Unova anime is unanimously considered the worst Pokémon anime ever, it’s so bad that it nearly taints the region’s overall quality.
The trading card game made a huge turn for the better. EX cards made the game even more exciting and the card art for those cards were just stunning (I’ll never forget first laying eyes on the White Kyurem EX)
That opinion is definitely not unanimous. A lot of people, myself included, grew up with the BW anime and loved it.
At least the BW anime openings were probably the best ones so far, DP coming in a close 2nd.
Obvious bait.
I actually thought Gen 5 was almost universally hated because of its anime and genwunner memes back when I was 9.
Oh, how wrong I was.
I don't really care about the animie
One of my favourite gens of pokemon! I love most of all the pokemon in the region, I love the animations of the moving pixels, it looks great, and the storyline is awesome!
This video couldn't have been more perfectly timed, I had just been itching to head back to Unova for a spell
Black and white are the games that give me some hope for Sword and Shield, going into gen 8 knowing that most of what I see will be new is exciting.
Game freak is rightfully getting criticism, but if what they say about not including all pokemon in order to focus on the ones included then hopefully these will be very well rounded games!
This was my first Pokémon game, so I'm biased towards this generation. I'm just glad that now people are starting to see how good it was compared to Galar.
It was my third.
Leafgreen my first and I thought It was meh.
Heart Gold my second... And I loved it. Johto is still my favorite region.
I put over 300 hours into the game, and still had so much to do.
Then I got Black.... and I just didn't like it at
It may have been that I expected the same quality of HG, it may have been that Emboar was the starter I chose, being the worst of the 3, it may have been that the radically obtuse pokemon designs felt weird and off to me, it may have been that I didn't like the rivals, it may have been that I didn't like the routes.
But I just hated this game, it turned me off of pokemon for 4 years until my friend got Moon for me where I got back into pokemon.
This video was so well done holy crap
Love these games. Second one I owned after HG was black. Some of my favourite Pokemon come from unova, like zebstrika, bisharp and chandelure. I've replayed it so many times now 😂
"Good morning everybody"
It's 2 AM where I live... So you aren't wrong.
Gen 5 was great! Verlisfy Triggered.
Verlisify can succ a noot
@Jancy Varghese Get off the internet, kid.
I agree with everything you said except the Critical health music, cuz that’s a banger.
Also, I didn’t find the story to halt or slow down that much in B2W2 ever, I dunno where you get that idea
Most well done review for this Gen I’ve seen, agreed 100%. This set the new high bar for the series and it’s going to be hard for them to top, but I hope they’ll keep trying. 😊
Gave us the most unique Type Combniations.
I expected a little bit longer, but still satisfied.
One of the best pokemon games IMO, I love the story and the fact that Hilbert/Hilda reach the same status as Red did in Gold/Silver, being a mysterious character that few speak of.
Would love to see a remake of these games!
Gen 5 was my first ever game, and it’s still my favorite. I love all the unique Pokemon and I think the experimentation was a good thing for the game.
Pokemon black 2 and white 2 are really good games
Yeah. They are. I am surprised how good they are & I appreciate people started to shine on it after the crap it gone through despite how universal acclaimed it is.
I'm so glad we've all collected decided to stop hating on gen 5. It my favorite generation and definitely didnt deserve the hate it got when it came out :]
I applaud you for giving this gen an A. This was definitely my favorite Gen as well. Many hate on it. Especially the anime itself. But I definitely enjoyed it and hope I live to see the Gen 5 remakes. If only Gamefreak went by the timeline, this year marks the 10th anniversary of black and white so we should've had remakes of them by now. But we haven't even gotten Gen 4 yet and we won't see them til probably 2021. So that means it'll be another 4-5 years before we see Gen 5 remakes
Gen 5 is my all time favorite gen. Great story line and had an amazing late game. Plus, THE MUSIC
Im gonna rank gens (favorite to least favorite)
1. Gen 5
2. Gen 3
3. Gen 4
4. Gen 8
5. Gen 7
6. Gen 2
7. Gen 1
8. Gen 6
I think Pokemon for the DS (Gen 4-5) is the pinnacle of the franchise. I also miss Iwata (No DLC, no cuts, no $ Online)
Gen 5 was my first gen as a Pokemon fan and it is the most underrated generation. I love the new Pokemons and it has the best trio of starters in my opinion. and the legendaries? THEYRE AMAZING! Zekrom and Reshiram and my 2nd and 3rd favourite Pokemon because they nailed the designs.
been watching your videos for the past few days... not only are they great, but u invited to da cookout
I just marathoned these back to back for the first time, and while they were both fantastic, I have to give the nod to BW1. Basically to me it felt like BW1 started off slower but exploring the region from Castelia onwards fresh was great, and it's endgame was phenomenal. BW2 started off better (although a lot of that was probably me riding the high of finishing the first game), but suffered due to the monotony of revisiting so many areas (many basically unchanged) from Castelia onwards, I mean the mid game is literally the same route. BW2's endgame was decent (Iris was a great champion), but overall Team Plasma was far less impactful than BW1, and the only "villain" (if you can even call him that) that I enjoyed in the whole story was Colress because of his fight on the frigate. I also felt like BW1's postgame was pretty much just as good, far more new areas to explore, and unfortunately you pretty much need a competitive team to take advantage of certain post game areas in BW2 such as the PWT, but it's still very cool it exists.
I defeated all the champions in the PWT with the same pokemon I used to play the game with, and i'm not that great at battling. So you don't need a competitive team to enjoy the post game. I get the feeling you didn't get to enjoy a lot of what BW2 had to offer. Did you check out the Hidden Grottos? Mess around with Join Avenue? Play some Funfest missions? Use the Memory Link? Make movies in Poke Star Stuido? Rematch N with his teams based around each season? I'm just trying to think of things you might of missed that add a lot more character to these games than just following the obvious path though
Dont you mean the best Pokemon gen?
Before XY took it all away...
Yeah gen 6 is my favorite
Unpopular opinion. But XY is my least favorite Pokemon game and it's where Pokemon went downhill.
@@jjc4924 I will agree with that opinion
Even more unpopular opinion: XY was below average, SM was very good, usum 🗑🗑🗑, SWSH extremely overhated, still tho B2W2 are the best
@@neoshadow4793 I didn't think that was unpopular.
I mean I don't think SM are very good I don't think they are bad though. Sword and Shield I also don't think are overhated. They did that to themselves with that one.
Other than those 2 I agree with the rest of what you said.
Great vid riz!
I always thought Gen 3 RSE were my favorite games because I played them a ton as a kid but Gen 5 has to be my absolute favorite the older I get. I personally LOVED only catching Pokémon from that generation, as was my goal for any Pokémon game I played. The music was fantastic, seasons added new details to areas, and the story was incredible! I loved the intertwining of gyms and evil team all in one! I can’t wait for the remakes!
Generation 5 is my favorite Gen. From the Pokémon to the story to the music (oh the music!) it is nearly perfect.
Pokemon Black 2 is one of the best games ever created by mankind
My second favorite generation as well as the second generation I ever played!!! Truly magnificent games!
I love the Black and White games. Gen 5 has been and continues to be my favorite gen. I had alot of fond memories playing this gen as a kid. I enjoyed everything about Black and White. The pokemon, the places, the soundtrack, etc. I chose Tepig for my Unova adventure. In both Black and White and Black and White 2. I didn't care that he became a glass cannon when he evolved into Emboar, what he lacks in defense he makes up for in attack. All I can say is that I had fun playing Gen 5, and I continue to have fun whenever I boot up White 2 every now and then.
The cutscene and unskippable dialogue in these games are nowhere as bad as SM and USUM.
Gen 5 has the best sprites ever
0:40 i can't unsee the floating face behind masuda
B&W and B&W2 were my four first pokemon games and when I played some others I foud nothing that could top this. It is a huge part of my childhood and I am happy to have played those games.
