07 GSXR 600 Rectifier/Stator Replacement the RIGHT Way

  • My 2007 Suzuki GSXR 600 was charging around 12 volts and since I got the bike I replaced the rectifier with a cheap one, but haven't touched the stator. I think the stator went out this time around but I decided to get a stator, Mosfet rectifier, plugs and stator gasket kit for 100$ off amazon. Replaced everything and the bike charges great now! Most important thing is to have a smooth dry clean surface for the new gasket to latch onto as well as putting gasket maker around where the stator wires exit the top left of the cover.

I’m so glad I came across your channel…. I was driving myself crazy with trying to install the top part of the stator case… trying to match the gears up all at once was insane. Glad you had a diagram to show how… thanks!!!

You dont have to take the oil out or tilt your bike to change the stator. Very minimal oil will come out👍

How far down does ur stator bolts go (the 3 inside cover)? I did mine as far as i can go but there not like yours its just a regular bolt. My stator keeps making a rattling sound and ive already re checked the bolts

Hi currently having charging issues with my gsxr 750 2005 I replaced regulator and stator but still having the charging issues I made a video on my channel. My question is when I disconnect the stator from regulator and test the stator plug with a 12v light tester while bike is running should the light turn on? Because my light turns on like showing the stator is grounded not sure what to do stator is new

This is my 2nd failed cheap stator. I just got the ricks rectifier and stator which was like 300 bucks but its not worth it to cheap out on this. Just buy a ricks stator and never do it again. I used ebay stuff on 2 occasions and they always fail with fried coils after about 2 years. Left me on the nj turnpike 150 miles from home last time.

Jump your bike to your car. Ride it and let the stator charge your battery. Or put you battery on a charger. The clicking sound is the switch inside the starter relay, failing to have enough power to engage the starter motor. Basically your battery lacks the power to start the bike.

You do NOT need to add gasket sealer. I bought some, because of this video and another, but saw how sealed it is without it. Just clean it up real well.
Also - if you use a razor or screwdriver, BE CAREFUL bc they’re steel... steel scratches aluminum very easily... that’s probably why you’d need the gasket maker...
