I don't care what this people are talking about on the way she dress. She can wear whatever she wants, she young and vigorous. And she looks good, and can she ever play the piana. Very gifted lady. Always admire and enjoy the way she play the piano.
The beauty of music overwhelming. Art astounds and wakes souls to life. Yuja empowers all to live free in their own beauty, colors and artistry as she speaks directly to our bare souls. Her vibrate colors, beauty and passion in life and music .... wakes everything. Breathing Yuja's music, is life for the soul. Beautiful.
Amazing! Having a beautiful body and performing artistically reminds me of what Plato mentions in his "Republic" about the balance between gymnastics and music. It is hard work and discipline. Congratulations to this beautiful performance!

+Georges Cancan/Mario DiSarli Your repetitive troll posts are very tiresome. Since you visit so many of Yuja Wang's videos, you must know by now that she is one of the best (if not the absolute best) active concert pianists in the world today. Why persist in these infantile attacks?
+Pier Azo Correct. +Martha Jane +Mario DiSarli +Georges Cancan +FRITZCHEN (probably)+democolor42 are all the same (most likely) old frustrated jealous ugly racist and sexist virgin, a loser who never made it onto stage because of lack of even the slightest touch of talent
Absolutely legendary playing aside, gotta love how Yuja Wang always sticks it to the old classical music prudes and rocks up to the concert dressed for a night club.
It's as if she has more than just one pair of hands, especially in that first Encore!!! I recently saw a picture of her hands. You can see their strength along with her forearms! I guess she must do some exercises for her hands and fingers to keep them supple, but of course her practising must help in this also. After this electrifying performance, the whole place erupts in applause!! Well deserved
Excellent performance, I'm very glad to see someone like her, young, modern and talented, is not only refreshing but also invites to new genereations of girls to considerate another ideas to their future, beyond the "actress or singer" (a lot of them without any talent at all), and off course, Yuja and her style helps to bring younger people's attention to classical music. She's got the whole package!
I love Yuya unconventional way to dress beside the fact that she is a great pianist. When I was student, first classical Record I listened to was Piano Concert Nr. 1 from Tchaikovsky. It touches my soul. Since then I started to love classical music. I went often to Berliner Philharmonie (walking distance anyway) with friends to compensate 'our rock music'. We were wearing as we liked while rest of audience were wearing suits. I started to have a distance to classical music because of that. Even now, many of my colleagues just go to classical concerts just to be part of the society without really love the music. Classical music is 'Zeitlos' compared with many things now a day which is 'Zeitgeist'
I love Yuja. I didn't watch her for many years because of her "Frederick's of Hollywood" style of dressing, but in Yuja none of that matters. I'm glad I finally got over that -- and now I love to watch her, blue sequined bikini-dress and all. Her musical impulse is so pure she transcends tackiness. She could come on stage naked and it wouldn't be gross or detract from her musicianship. Likewise, she could perform dressed in a veil from head to foot and it would still be an awesome performance. She is one of my favorite pianists now.
Enjoying her marvelous performance more and more! If you can’t focus, go away! She is young and special! Love her pure performance and her character. Bravo Yu-Ja
It's a stunning performance. Of course the technical pyrotechnics are there, the dazzling octaves, etc...but also there are moments of complete stillness and poetry. It's a very individual interpretation, and that's not common with such a well known concerto as this
(a) To play like her; (b) to look like her (c) to travel the whole world bringing with her the most glorious music ever written; to be so approachable and kind; (d) to be a prodigy amongst prodigies. Maybe next time around.
A musical master piece by talented Conductor & Musiciens. The anachronism in the dressing code of the very talented Pianist Performer is audaciously fabulous. Thank you for sharing this video.
Like many I prefer a more traditional interpretation but my God what a performance! Thisis astounding. She doesn’t always manage to get it right but she is just mesmerising. Beautiful in so many ways!
It has to be a guy to write this. A white guy with a special affinity for Asian women. I am not impressed, just a bunch of robots copying other people’s style. Nothing new here, alas.
Blame the RUclips, not her. I'm a Chinese. My family and I was there this night in the Carnegie Hall listening to her play with the Chinese Youth Orchestra. I paid to watch her! Love it! Not easy for Chinese to comprehend western music so good. I like her dress as well!
What a contrast with the orchestra! Such a dull dark brown, even makes the musicians look sad. Music is life, no language barriers can detain it, nor ways of dressing. So for those who don't like the dress the pianist wears, just roll down the screen and listen to this majestic piece of music. If you close your eyes, the effect is even better....
It is interesting that most or even all comments in Russian are about the fashion style. It is an outstanding performance by the pianist and the orchestra!
Right at the start, where the piano comes in, she spreads the giant chords written by Tchaikovsky. The problem is that they were not written by Tchaikovsky. What she plays isn't exactly what the composer wrote but really is much closer to the original. I love this concerto and have done for 50 years but Yuja is full of surprises and I love her interpretation. The encore is dazzling - making what Horowitz actually wrote seem like child's play. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful experience.
yes, I also noticed that she spreader the chords at the very beginning which is a big surprise to me. it surely sounds like it is by design by Yuja. Any thoughts on this unique interpretation at the beginning?

@@yujawang8361 I'm stuck in Australia, at least lock downs give me time to listen to you :)
@@marcjames3487 good to hear my dear, how’s Australia and hope you’re keeping safe ?
I don't care what this people are talking about on the way she dress. She can wear whatever she wants, she young and vigorous. And she looks good, and can she ever play the piana. Very gifted lady. Always admire and enjoy the way she play the piano.
The beauty of music overwhelming.
Art astounds and wakes souls to life.
Yuja empowers all to live free in their own beauty,
colors and artistry as she speaks directly to our bare souls.
Her vibrate colors, beauty and passion in life and music ....
wakes everything.
Breathing Yuja's music,
is life for the soul.
Beautiful.
OMG, the music is ALIVE!!
Emotions run deep... Bravo, Yuja!!!
Amazing! Having a beautiful body and performing artistically reminds me of what Plato mentions in his "Republic" about the balance between gymnastics and music. It is hard work and discipline. Congratulations to this beautiful performance!
Anche io pensato che la sua performance è al pari di un gesto atletico
Unbelievable - How do you get better than this? She's a musical genius, no doubt.
Screw the haters!!! She's so beautiful and talented! She can dress anyway she wants. "If you've got it, you've got it"!
Excellent Performance!!! The whole Orchestra is Awesome!!! Talented, Young Musicians and a breath of Fresh Air to the Industry that has been stuffy for so long. We finally blessed with a Beautiful young Virtuoso a gifted artist True and true" a Lifeline... Juja Wang!. Thank You!!!
I would just like to digress from the discussion of appropriate attire for young women performers in 2017 to point out that the Youth Orchestra of China must be the finest young orchestra in the world. They are outstanding here, and complement Yuja's marvelous performance perfectly.
+Mario DiSarli
Racist cretin
+Georges Cancan/Mario DiSarli Your repetitive troll posts are very tiresome. Since you visit so many of Yuja Wang's videos, you must know by now that she is one of the best (if not the absolute best) active concert pianists in the world today. Why persist in these infantile attacks?

Correct. +Martha Jane +Mario DiSarli +Georges Cancan +FRITZCHEN (probably)+democolor42 are all the same (most likely) old frustrated jealous ugly racist and sexist virgin, a loser who never made it onto stage because of lack of even the slightest touch of talent

Left over from the 1860s?
Mesmerizing, brilliant high-heeled gorgeous Lady Pianist!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Yuja Wang is a true virtuoso and loves to perform, that's obvious. If her colorful attire gives her more confidence to perform, then power to her.
Absolutely legendary playing aside, gotta love how Yuja Wang always sticks it to the old classical music prudes and rocks up to the concert dressed for a night club.
Stupendous!! And the "Carmen Variations" to boot. What a great listening experience!!!!
Wonderful performance from Miss Wang.
Very impressive young orchestra! The pianist is great too! She just feels confident and comfortable in this outfit, so let her be:)
It appeared to be a young Asian orchestra that was fortunate enough to be chosen to accompany Ms. Wang for this iconic work.
'Cause they trained and recited together, who else would you choose?
Thanks pointing out something that was utterly pointless.
Very true.
Are you saying that we have to pedal sexiness to get our young people’s attention?? Really? How very sad!
@@Apriluser I totally agree with you!! very well said!!
What a wonderful Masterpiece!!! The Piano Concerto was also good.
Great to see and hear young musicians performing so well.
Yuja Wang is a machine. I love every performance. How to remember every nuance? You can tell she's having fun too.
In a word (or three)...absolutely magnificent, Yuja!
PurelyAfrican interesting comment😇
PurelyAfrican yup
Enjoying her marvelous performance more and more! If you can’t focus, go away! She is young and special! Love her pure performance and her character. Bravo Yu-Ja
It's a stunning performance. Of course the technical pyrotechnics are there, the dazzling octaves, etc...but also there are moments of complete stillness and poetry. It's a very individual interpretation, and that's not common with such a well known concerto as this
Did someone say 21st century? Yuja has already got me into the 22nd. She and I are on a different planet altogether! Bravo, Bravissimo, отлично, 优秀!!!
(a) To play like her; (b) to look like her (c) to travel the whole world bringing with her the most glorious music ever written; to be so approachable and kind; (d) to be a prodigy amongst prodigies. Maybe next time around.
Yuja is soooo grandiose . Thank you God for this woman!!!
She's like pure magic, a gift from God to humanity!
A musical master piece by talented Conductor & Musiciens. The anachronism in the dressing code of the very talented Pianist Performer is audaciously fabulous. Thank you for sharing this video.
How are you doing today my name is Eric Moore
I don't think you can find a better version on YT, or anywhere really. She outdid even herself in this performance. Bravo!
@Cow Cow I heard his. Still think hers is better. Her Prokofiev 2 is also better than Kissin's.
Like many I prefer a more traditional interpretation but my God what a performance! Thisis astounding. She doesn’t always manage to get it right but she is just mesmerising. Beautiful in so many ways!
I love Yuja to pieces. She is a very exceptional artist.!
If you play like that, you can wear what ever you want ,she is beautiful
paul rabino agreed!
She really is!
Well said. I’d take issue if she was dressing like that to compensate for a lack of talent or ability. But she ain’t. She’s a badass.
It has to be a guy to write this. A white guy with a special affinity for Asian women. I am not impressed, just a bunch of robots copying other people’s style. Nothing new here, alas.
and without clothing
Astonishing talent .Like the way her hair colouring coordinate s with her dress!
She has the power to bring the masses to classical music.
Absolutely....Talent, beauty, and sexy
We saw her 5 or 6 years ago in Calgary Alberta. It should be impossible but she just gets better and better!
One word to describe Yuja Wang:...
. ☀️Goddess☀️🙏
she looks like a magical mermaid
It is interesting that most or even all comments in Russian are about the fashion style. It is an outstanding performance by the pianist and the orchestra!
I love this because, not only do I get to enjoy the beauty of her playing, I also get to enjoy her gorgeous figure.
Perfect execution and lovely pianist, sometimes beautiful music is also beautiful to look at
Everything is beauty about this brilliant young star. Breath-taking.
.

Talent doesn't have to be bored. She delivered.
Hi Yuja.! You’re a genius... Can’t imagine how you wll dress in twenty years..
She is so wonderful in so many ways , I am lucky to have heard her live once playing Prokofiev piano concerto No #2 . I t was very special ❤
This young Lady Pianist gives classical music that wonderful twist , very sophisticated classical music with very classy elegant sensuality.
When she approches the piano, I see a beauty Queen, as she starts the performance, she turns her music into the most virtuoso Pianist of the moment.
A glass of Cabernet, to perceive every note, and enjoy her figure.
there are not many profesional models that can walk thatwell in high heels wow she has it all.??????????
She is beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
She is divine, divine, divine.
She is gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous.
Yuja is beautiful ,charming and talented and is amazing beyond words

Realmente maravilllosa, una tecnica incomparable, pero un sentimiemto y un alma en su interpretacion que solo hace pensar en la magia del piano hechizado por yuja wang que logra conectarse con al alma de las obras , con el espiritu de los compositores. inigualable.
she is astounding in every way! i simply adore her!!
Piano loves her, that is for sure.Great performance. She is the pianist for future.
