Alena Beave is more than a musician, she`s a true performer, her body movements added so much to my enjoyment. She made that fiddle speak many different languages, fluently. I`ve never heard a violin played so enthusiastically before. She deserved that standing ovation.

Alena is simply amazing in this piece, which is not an easy one to play. The way she uses nearly 💯 of the bow is even more impressive. That’s not easy to do either. Her finger work is also second to none. The way she goes from one end of the fret to the other almost effortlessly, is truly rare
My mother was a talented violinist and English professor. Her deep love of both classical music, especially Romantic, and the Bard, would work together. For her senior thesis classes she’d always ask students to do an analysis of the way that Tchaikovsky caught Shakespeare

Why would the “dislikes” choose this, from the “menu”, to watch and listen? There was NOTHING to dislike; the music, the soloist, the conductor, the orchestra, the camera work, the audience, the concert hall, nothing, everything was perfect. Of course, criticism can be justified, from time to time, when one is “qualified “ to judge, so I am guessing that there there must be more than 1K unsatisfactory areas here that I must have missed? So, I will watch again, and again, to see if I am able to spot them, somebody has to do it!

Wow! Both the violinist Ms. Baeve and the orchestra dio justice to this Tchiakovsky violin concerto. The notes are so clear and so beautiful.

This orchestra is so very good. It’s hard for some conductors/orchestras to perfectly capture the innocence and anguish of the end of R&J but this performance proves that 54:03 - 56:27 is the most hauntingly beautiful two and a half minutes of music ever written.
The violin concerto is magnificent. She was magnificent. Can’t really add anything else that hasn’t already been said here. This concerto will be my favorite creation by the human brain until the day I die, so wonderful to see new violinists tackling it ♥️

Great performance. I like how it's sped up compared to other conductor's interpretation of the piece and how the conductor has his own distinct style and isn't afraid to be outside the box. Amazing.

A fantastic performance by virtuoso violinist Alena Baeve! I cannot find enough words to praise her talents. But I also appreciate Tchaikovsky's kindness -- towards the end of the Concerto -- when he gives the violinist a REST for a few measures. The short interval allows the violinist to grab a handkerchief -- and WIPE the SWEAT off his/her face (and the violin's surface too) ;-)

Two of Tchaikovsky's supreme masterpieces; the lovely violin concerto, where Alena captures the humour of the cadenza brilliantly, and the heavenly Romeo and Juliet. Bravo to the soloist, the conductor, and this wonderful orchestra. This is a whole hour of lockdown which made me feel optimistic again. Thank you so much for uploading.
