On the 4th of July, 2022, I will celebrate my 100th birthday. Anna Federova plays Tchaikovsky as perfectly and beautifully as she plays Rachmaninov. What a talented artist!
A big thank-you to AVROTROS Klassiek for sharing this exquisite moment.
wow
Genial y hermosa, Dios la bendiga!!!
Anna Fedorova is playing this piano concerto from memory!
WOW!
🤦🏼♀️
This has always been my favorite Concerto. I remember hearing it on television when I was 8.
The genius of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. It still gives me the same sensation of awe as when I first heard it over 60 years ago.
This is used in place of the Russian national anthem now at the Tokyo olympics by the ROC team… Good choice.
Yes, you're right and I'm looking forward to hearing it .
@@colly8143 ruclips.net/video/KD1bQeeEo9M/видео.html
apparently not he russians first choice. A compromise with the olympic committee.
A perfect compromise. Tchaikovsky deserved masterpiece. Absolutely gorgeous.
Rachmaninoff
(0:05 - 0:56) That has got to be one of the most beautiful, groundbreaking, epic, poignant, somber, breathtaking pieces of music I’ve ever heard in my life.
Bravo! 🎶🎵👏👏👏👏🎵🎶
When I hear her play, I think my heart will burst. Stunning - absolutely stunning; And to think Tchaikovsky was told no one would be able to play this.
And she does it, without any sheet music !
Julie Toner,
At her level of playing, she doesn’t need the sheet music. I suspect she’s played this hundreds of times, maybe more.
Best gift my mother ever gave me was the love for music. All venues.
Same for me, when i was little i was introduced in the world of classical music. I love it till now and will always love it. Thnx mom and dad
Anna doesn't just play the piano. She makes looooovve to it. What a brilliant pianist playing a brilliant piece of music
Ms. Fedorova is no wilting lily. She plays with finesse and strength, in equal measure. The best performance of this work I've heard in 40 years. She absolutely nailed it.
A tour de force of passion, beauty, skill and resistance.
Everyone talks about the intro but never the part at 7:40 ... it's in my opinion one of the most serene few measures of the entire piece. Highly underrated.
I don’t understand your point
fabulous part of the concert i think that too !
at 35:38 I love how they are both enjoying a full moment of happiness. Pure joy, pure pleasure.
Totally. Not only is she talented af, but she's cute as hell! lol
The look on Abel's face was of genuine euphoria! It almost made me cry to see their joy.
I was so taken by that moment too! Isn't it just lovely when the players are enjoying their music so much!
Nailed it!
I caught that moment too. There's great rapport between the two!

Absolutely agree. Both express feeling. Stupendous.
Totally miraculous!! Hats off to Tchaikovsky and these phenomenal players!!
Watching on a 75 inch Sony TV and Sonos Sound Bar! Heaven!
Thank you.
You are fortunate. But... It is even wonderful on my crummy little tablet with a cracked screen. 😉
Watching her play is one of the most satisfying sights I have ever seen. Her hands are alive on the keys.
Thank you so much Lord today so special times with wonderful musics!
All the glory to our God!
Thank you so much!
So wonderful!
I enjoyed a lot!
God bless all!
Beautiful, tender and romantic performance by Anna!

😮❤
As others have observed, Anna plays Tchaikovsky with just as much passion and romance as she plays Rachmaninoff. She seems to "get inside the mind" of the composers, and bring something extremely special to her performances. Fond of these pieces, I have heard them by many artists, but never better than with Anna. She is extremely talented and musically proficient: a gift indeed. Please may we have more from her, and more Sunday Morning Concerts - with her if possible?! Thank you Avrotros. Thank you Anna!
Anna,,, once I start watching you perform I cannot stop,, I must watch it to the end,,,, your energy is hypnotic,,,,,,
Another incredible performance. Please God end the pandemic. I need to hear Anna Fedorova in person.
Nothing like a warm fire ,a rocking chair, and this wonderful music !
I thought all musicians did that?
@@loveflower5436 As you see, she can play even without. I like it in this way
The way she gracefully glides across the piano makes her one of the most beautiful women on the planet
If Anna is the only pianist my ears could hear for the rest of the life, I will die a happy man.
I grew up in the late 60's early 70's. Loved Led Zepplin, Alice Cooper, Yes, Uriah Heep and of course Pink Floyd..As I grew older thanks to my parents I began to realize the genius of classical music and it's influence on modern music....Rachmaninoff, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Pagganini and even Opera. If you truly love music, there are no limits to its beauty and the memories and peace it brings to one's soul..
Anna Fedorova is a great and perfect pianist playing the piano with passion, power, and love ❤️ bravo 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
There is just nothing like a beautiful woman playing a musical instrument masterfully. Inspiring. Majestic and incomparable!

August 11, 2022! Even better now!😁
A fantastic piece, played by an extremely talented musician, backed up by a great orchestra. Folks, it doesn't get any better than that.
Unverkennbar , Tschaikowsky.
watch and listen till the end. it IS therapy.
My technique teacher told me: While you draw, I highly recommend Tchaikovsky: Piano Concerto No. 1, Op. 23 - Anna Fedorova -
Also, try Rachmaninoff's 2nd piano concerto
that'd be impossible for me XD anytime I try to study listening to this (or Rach's), I get absorbed by the music and get nothing done lol

That glance of the soloist to the conductor on 35:39 is superb and a simple but powerful communication. BRAVO!!!!
She conquered that piece and had the entire hall in the palms of her hands.
That was a masterful performance. Incredible.
From NY
Amazing performance. She seems to enjoy playing it as much as we enjoy listening to it, and My God, what a smile!
This is the most magnificent performance of Tchaikovsky: Piano Concerto No. 1, Op. 23 I ever listened and watched. Anna Fedorova and orchestra conductor Ives Abel and the whole orchestra reached the glory with this absolutely perfect performance !
Sooo agree !
Happy holidays to everyone who is listening to Anna, and this exquisite piece of music by Tchaikovsky and this marvelous orchestra. It is beyond words. Breathtaking.🎄☃️⭐️👏👏👏👏 Bravo, Bravo!!!❤️
It feels like a conversation between your thoughts on the piano and your emotions from the orchestra and half way through the emotions begin to take over
Anna never fails to amaze, she's extraordinary and the Orchestra amazing. I love to listen to Anna play Rachmaninoff so brilliantly, and Tchaikovsky, breathtaking! It touches my soul, evokes emotions and transports me to another era. She is a gift to us all, thank you to these fabulous composers and her extraordinary rendition of their compositions. ❤🎼🎶
I don't like the way a lot of other pianists approached this peice, but Anna's interpretation is beautiful and I think it's one of the best performances of this peice! :)
i agree!

I agree that she is also my favourite pianist. Her interpretations are of the highest level.

Absoluting amazing. I want everyone involved in this performance to know they truly accomplished a magnificent and beautiful feat. Bravo, to say the very least

Eternity expressed in music here by Tchaikovsky. The opening bars of this concerto are always sublime to listen to - its beauty, as all good music, never dies - iconic indeed.
you know how you always look for that special, better version of any piece ? i think i'll stop here ! this is spine tingling ! well done Anna
Woaw ! Anna is amazing ! Powerful and yet delicate, soft and touching like an angel slipping on the keys, full of sensitivity.
I absolutely adore her 3rd movement, it's just... Magical !
This is one of me favorites. Got me hooked on classical music. I was just elected to the board of Opera San Luis Obispo, California. Thank you God.

A real wonderful pianist, ideal for Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky piano concertos. A very strong technique and brilliant musicality.
Monumental, glorious, beautiful, fantastic? The words fail to describe Tchaikovsky's music!
And a great performance by Anna Fedorova!
