Gonna be a busy week cleaning off my desktop! Multiple videos and blogs dropping. Thanks for watching, sharing, and commenting! Have a great week, y'all!
+Barbell Medicine Thank you for the timestamps.

The market is reflective of consumers. If you educate consumers, overtime they will make their own decisions. You don't see teenagers going to their seminars, but serious people who legitimately want to learn.
"I'm pro-crossfit as long as you don't do crossfit. Or work for crossfit." 😂
That last part definitely became more relevant recently, eh?
@@JackgarPrime whys that
@@dvsn23 Greg Glassman, the now-former CEO, said some really dumb shit earlier this year that got him ousted from the Crossfit organization.
The crossfit discussion was funny AF
We need to spread Jordan's truth about CrossFit across the nine realms of the internet.
Nate I think the people who can learn will. At this point, probably half the strength coaches/athletes I enjoy have done crossfit at some point, and they decide they want something different and branch out. It's like Planet Fitness style gyms: people get some fitness experience under their belts and decide they want something more, so they transition to a different discipline. Those who are like, "nope, just gonna do this" are probably gonna be fine just "being active." But like the man says, we get more barbells in more people's hands and get them to experience work. The marketed version of everything always seems more popular. As much as we would like everyone to experience "the way," not everyone will jump on that train for whatever reason.
These are so much better without Rip tearing into every question before answering. Man.
Appreciate the insight and the answered questions.
Plus I don't have to hear Rip rant about climate science being a hoax.
@nate hes so so obnoxiously delusional its sad
It's extremely refreshing to see strength coaches who are not carrying around excess body fat. I've been becoming extremely interested in strength training but everyone else promoting it seems to be carrying around big guts and apparently never train their arms. Subscribed!
intro editing on point Jordan
You guys are awesome! I love the clinical and scientific backed answers to all the questions. I was a college athlete and a military veteran (years of lifting experience) at 41 yoa. No cartilage in my knees and was told by my ortho to quit squatting heavy and deadlifting. So I did for a bit and lost tons of strength and leg muscle. So I have researched all this and over came these obstacles and im squatting 345 for reps deadlifting 405 for 5 and continuing to regain strength and confidence. Alot of this I give credit to you guys. I recommend you guys to all my friends and everyone starting out keep up the great work!
On the question training in the morning. What to eat?
If you're anything like me, i.e. wake up, get out of bed and just go to the gym, I'd recommend:
1. A whey protein drink with a couple of scoops of instant coffee. Prepared the night before. Just grab it out of the fridge.
2. Maybe a cold glass of water, if you been sweeting over the night, and feel dehydrated.
3. Some dry fruits like dates, rasin, apricots, mangos, etc. Fast carbs, easy to eat, and easy broken down and rarely upset your stomach. You can also bring a small bag of these with you to the gym and nibble on if needed.
Going with a banana or oats are many times too much in the morning, unless you are going to sit around the kitchen table for 45 min before training.
Cheers! 😊
P.S. I prefer training in the evening, but I do train in the morning from time to time. If your plan is shedding some weight and becoming more fit, adding a low intensity cardio session in the morning is perfect, but if you do, drop the carbs in the above recommendation.
I enjoy all your content on the barbell medicen channel iv learned a lot, and want to know more some stuff just goes over my head but I'm a slow learner too Jordan. It's shitty that the mark bells of the world are ahead of you hope you climb to the top of the ranks in the fitness world. Thanks for all the Q/A's and answering my dumb questions
That very last sentence about crossfit rang home for me. I used to drink the cool-aid but I recently started asking myself what am I doing CF for, what are my goals? Now I don’t think I could ever go back. Still really enjoy watching the professionals though.
I think you guys would absolutely love Rob Orlando's outlook about crossfit and it's "athletes" (which he always says with a snicker). Recently took his Strongman Seminar in which he spoke about how crossfitters are are thinking if their training as an "athletic endeavor" (due to the Open and Games) when they should just be viewing it as a "fitness program." One of the best take aways for me from the seminar. Definitely helped me level my head out as a "competitive athlete," and overall a really blunt and clear perspective about truly getting stronger. Like k said, think you guys would appreciate it.
Otherwise, I absolutely love the content! I recommend your podcast to everyone looking for more info. Keep doing what you guys do and I hope to attend the next seminar you host in Sacramento in the future! Thanks!
Most excellent vid. This is the information I have been waiting for. Thank you Austin and Jordan! Side note for some laughs, I just noticed that we could refer to our TRT dose as our 'barbell medicine'. Gotta take my barbell medicine now! ;)
"You're not fried, you're undercooked." really should be a T-Shirt.
How did this not get any likes? Cmon!
I must’ve watched the part where you accidentally disproved RPE about 15 times literally. Lmaoo at Austin’s face and your immediate simultaneous reactions haha. For clarification on my stance on RPE I’m running your press template right now and absolutely love it.
Would be nice if someone would read the question for audio only listeners.
Another great one fellas, job well done.
When are you releasing the programming podcast part 3? I'm anxiously waiting
Huey PQ me too man, me too I keep thinking I missed it when I see a new video drop and it's not pt3
One of the better Q&A's to date!
Agreed
Hey Dr. Feigenbaum,
Friend of mine has a torn labrum in her shoulder (probably from her Crossfit snatches). Any advice for her recovery?
Haven't watched yet but you already know I smashed the like button
Thanks for all of the great content!! Can you come to Toronto, Canada for a seminar/workshop?
Trying to come in August!
When are we gonna get a collab with Jim Wendler and Mark Bell? Lol over night protein and instant oats and instant coffee shake is my go to breakfast.
Thumbs up for Time stamps in the description.
I wanna see the debate with Wendler and Mark Bell
I wish Crossfit allowed open/free use of their box when you signed up. Not for the "solo" trainee :/
They do where I train.
I know what you mean. I was on a single use pass at a box while traveling during my Starting Strength Linear Progression. I showed up during box's "open gym" period. I was into my warmup sets on my final lift, the deadlift. Bing went the clock. "Barbell Club" started, and the guy running the place said I had to stop immediately. I asked if I could finish my last few sets in a corner of the gym (there was certainly room). He said he couldn't allow it. He did offer to let me join them in Barbell Club. I think they were doing snatches.
Hey guys, great work! Would you please read aloud the questions as part of the video? I like to listen to your videos at work, but I can't watch them while I am working. It would help a lot if I didn't have to stop the video and rewind it to see what the question was each time one is asked. Thanks a lot!
This is awesome! This is awesome! This is awesome! This is awesome! This is awesome! This is awesome! This is awesome!
Please mic up. I have all my volumes maxed out and can barely hear ya'll. Thanks and thanks for writing out the questions. That really helps.

Tips to act more snobby at a fitness workshop?
21:31 LOL
I love the way Jordan says bullshit.
Jordan would look lit if he shaved his head
The fear he would be induce would be nuanced.
Rate of perceived intimidation: 11
Jordan Pike ha!
And mess up the sweet fade? Do you even stay frosty, bro?
I shaved my head and added 40 lbs to my DL.
When is the 3rd programming podcast coming out? The two currently out have done more to help me understand stress and recovery application than any other sources.
21:32 Salt..
Truthfully, I consider someone like Mark Bell more of an entertainer.
I consider him more a piece of shit.
if you like dick and fart jokes for an hour straight
MAGA MAN Calm down man, Jesus.
TheMasterfulcreator I had the same thought. His channel is probably the best for barbell entertainment, but if you go there for advice then you deserve your fate.
yep!
This is a minor detail, but could you repeat the question asked or mic the person saying it instead of it being just the text? Not that i don't want to look at your pretty faces but sometimes you want to multitask and do stuff.
Yes.
Yeah i haven't made the jump to wherever the podcast is hosted, so I just listen on youtube.
When will we see a book with a program coming out from you guys?
You mean, like The Bridge?
Joe Barker no, like a full length book on programming that includes a program that is new.
Thanks for good info, but why is someone typing a letter on an old fashioned typewriter in the background?
and OMG the pen clicking. This is torture.
LMAOOO xDDDDD
Austin legit looking bigger than J here. Maybe just the polo?
i'll take it
That's what she said??? (jokes coming atcha circa 2001!)
Hi Jordan, it would be great if you could also copy/paste the time stamps into the comments and pin them. That way people on mobile can use them too, since timestamps in the description are not clickable on mobile, while those in the comments are. Cheers
Another day, another intro LOL
I wish I could pick your brains' on training with Addison's disease. I'm figuring it as I go, but there's so much going on with my body that I don't know much about it makes it hard to program for best results.
Nick Voelker ask them in the medical forums on their website
Will that UPTODATE article be available for free to non MD's?
I don't think so, it's a subscription based website.
WHO IS CLICKING THAT PEN!
So no on the Slingshot?
They still recommend it as a bench variation
This would be so much better without feigenbaum
Was Mel Gibson in the audience?
Time to settle shit with the powerlifting world and put BB medicine on the throne of knowledge
Algorithm gainzzz.
Mark Bell is pretty cool tho 😋
Not that you're wrong, but I know I've seen Jordan using a slingshot.
Yeet
I agree with "mark bell" hahaha, he is really full of shit , but not jim wendler , for me when it comes to programming , Andy Baker is the man so far
22:33 how does one get into this position? By providing a lot of people with a lot of free practical information that they can use. By being transparent and sincere. By not being arrogant, by not dissing other people's work, by not being salty. You know, maybe you should ask Alan Thrall, cause he is in that position.
Григорий Шаханов Personally, I prefer to listen to straightforward, intellectual conversation such as this rather than poop stories and nonsensical rambling.
It's more of a tongue in cheek comment. We've likely coached more people than the people I mentioned and we're putting out better information. What is interesting is that neither character exhibits the traits you mention. We continue to expand our sphere of influence and get the message out so, it's working.
Me too. But about 40% of the intellectual conversation turns out to be shitting on other people's content for the sake of self-affirmation. Look at this video - shitting on Crossfit, shitting on Mark Bell, shitting on Wendler. And I don't like any of these things btw. But all these "shitty" people/organizations with their bad information have helped more people than our intellectual mr. MD here can ever hope to.
I heart salt
To be honest, not really and further- we've all helped more people than you in these comments. Chill out, dude.
Jordan, I didn't appreciate the amount of man spreading that you did in this video. Austin wasn't trying to challenge your alpha male status, chill out man.
