    I love these videos. Very informative. My biggest critique is to pay more attention to the audio levels when editing. Some of the people at the end when they were introducing themselves were really hard to hear over the music. Use the audio meter built in to your editor to make sure that everyone is staying roughly at the same audio level. Most editors have compressor utilities built in that can help compress the levels so the lows are a little louder and the high levels are a little lower, which can really improve the sound quality. I also have found that music levels almost always sound louder after you export the video from your editor, so once you get your music where you like it in the editor, drop it down a few more DB.

    I am very glad to hear you guys are working on a Barbell Medicine certification. I have been seriously considering a Starting Strength cert but in the last few months I am leaning much more towards your ideas. I can honestly say now that I would prefer a BM cert over a SS cert. Can you give any details about the BM cert? Or approximate timeframe for when it will be forthcoming? Thank you very much! :D

    Training seems to be the easy part with all of the available templates out there. Following the needed diet and not falling into the mind set of "ohh that feels heavy today" is what I've found to be the hardest part. My second pass over of NLP was where I learned how to really push through sticking weights. I say second run through just due to "life happens" dictated that I take a few steps back,

    I like taking a cold shower in the morning to wake up. This is no where near the level of coldness of an ice bath (the water might be 60 degrees Fahrenheit) I know ice baths will negatively impact my training, but will a 5 minute, 55-60 degree shower in the morning impact it?

    Feigenbaum, when are you guys going to do an episode on PEDs?

    • @destro1989
      @destro1989 6 лет назад

      Pete Toshkov I'd like to hear about this but honestly I'm not sure if it's relevant or could be slightly controversial.
      One thing I would like to know is whether there is a major difference between lower end of normal range vs higher end of normal range in terms of testosterone.

    • @dickpiano1802
      @dickpiano1802 6 лет назад +1

      It's not controversial because in European countries it's perfectly legal to use PEDs for cosmetic purposes; not that I use but that's a personal choice not a legal one. Regarding testo, I've heard that studies show no correlation between being on the higher/lower end and athletic performance. But Feigenbaum will weigh in, unless of course I got him and he is hiding behind Baraki's squat rack muhaahaha :)

    • @nazimdjedaa2829
      @nazimdjedaa2829 6 лет назад

      Pete Toshkov Actually no, PEDs (steroids in our case) are not legal everywhere in Europe, for example it's illegal in France and selling them is illegal in England.

    Pardon my ignorance but is barbell medicine completely separate from starting strength now?
    Or are they part of the same entity, as I'm planning on doing the starting strength programme in Jan.
    So just wanted to know if there are any major differences I should bare in mind before starting,
    Any feedback from anyone who knows would be much appreciated,
    Completed the Athlean X AX1 programme abit ago so looking at something like SS.

      0plumber1 starting strength is a great place to start for beginners who are able to execute the 4 main lifts, squat, deadlift, bench and press. The barbell medicine programme ‘the bridge’ is designed for those who are no longer making gains on starting strength. Jeff is a good movement coach, id recommend trying starting strength seeing as your movement quality should be good enough now to frequently perform the main lifts under load. However, because youve been training you may find it hard to make gains as you are not a true beginner. Assuming your diet and sleep is appropriate, if you dont see results on starting strength then move onto the bridge.
