Near where I live there's an old-timey resort that was no longer really in the mainstream, but is one of the few places nearby that has an indoor pool. So I used to take my kid there to swim, especially when the weather was bad.
It seems one weekend, a Hell's Angels chapter held some kind of event there. I was there with my kid on Sunday afternoon, so everyone was outside, hanging out but getting ready to leave. He was really impressed by all the bikes, but nothing else was especially notable.
The next week, the pool lifeguard had a story to tell me. It seems that a newer member, a prospect I guess, decided he wanted to smoke in the pool. That wasn't allowed, and the lifeguard asked him to stop. He refused, and got loud about it. The older members did NOT tolerate that and made him put it away. Well, they wanted to make a proper apology to the lifeguard, so they somehow found out where he lived and sent a sex worker over to spend a few hours with him. He was pretty appreciative, actually.

This man is clearly still fearful of the Hells Angels seeking retribution. He speaks very cautiously to not completely incriminate himself or the Angels for anything. I can't say as I blame him. Even when you're out, you're never really out. He said he cut a deal for the 17 years in prison so as to not get a longer sentence. I wonder what that deal entailed? I'm sure the Angels are not happy with him regardless. When you choose this lifestyle, it's a life sentence. I'll never understand why anybody would think this lifestyle is so great.

He admits to dealing meth. Kinda hints at shooting up some place, and being shot at. He got 17 years for something serious, for sure, and would've gotten life if he hadn't flipped. Obviously if he killed somebody, or ordered it, he wouldn't admit that, there's no statute of limitations on it.
Guaranteed there are a buttload of "minor" charges for his crew that he won't even remember. DUI for days, disturbing the peace, battery (i.e. punching some rival dude), assault (pulling a knife or showing a hammer is legally assault even if you don't use it).

I work at a bar in Fresno. An OG from out of town came in with a couple other veterans. The Sanger Club had some members there simply to stand behind these Angels to protect them while they bellied up to the bar.
A big AA blowhard kept buying them drinks til it was time to settle up, then he was gone. Almost $300 in drinks.
Long story short: The OG paid the tab with a big tip. He apologized and said something to the effect of “nobody disrespects where we drink.”
Next day the very battered and bruised blowhard showed up and quietly handed over $400 to that bartender and mumbled “sorry” and left.

Seeing as it was pretty much half of what he hoped to earn that evening, he knocked the door, and when asked, pointed the guy out. The one thing i learned about the loyalty and "code" is that it is an illusion. The moment it becomes a liability, it is forgotten. You don't have any real brothers in the club. Many think that they do, most know at least on some level that your "brothers" will turn on you if the pay is enough, or they are facing serious jail time. It works only to a point. It is kind of sad, really, the delusion that many in that world have when it comes to loyalty.

There’s a local club where I live and they are kinda small but they do have a legit club house and they all hang out at the local bars on a regular basis. I know them well and my dad was friends with a lot of them, while he was growing up. Pretty much anyone is allowed at the club house as long as you go with someone who knows the members. They serve alcohol at the club house to make money but a lot of these guys are actually broke. There aren’t really any rival clubs against them either. They’re really just a group of guys, who ride motorcycles, wear leather and patches and have a club house. A lot of them drink and do/sell coke but it’s literally NOTHING like what you see on tv or movies.

What club is this? I come from a neighborhood protected by this kind of people. Let me tell you that there are laws that were passed in Canada, especially in Québec, just to prosecute some of the members, because they would have such a large number of counts for murder that prosecuting them the regular way wouldn't be possible. Whatever club you're talking about is NOT a 1% club. You live in a delusion if you think those guys don't exist. You're just talking about a regular, non-outlaw, 99%, motorcycle club. Anyone can start a club of anything. You're more than welcome to create a patch design, set-up a clubhouse and make it a bar. That's NOT a 1% club, this is why there is a 1% patch.

The Mayans scene about them dealing stuff in actual working factories and stuff, that do happen.
It's just a coverup as normal police won't really check on factories unless there's some tip off or a major crime going on so it's easier for them to pack goods since it's a factory and also receive it thru other shipment of stuff that's coming into the factory.
What I meant was, if it was a garment factory like that, it'll be easier for the initial runners to stuff keys of drugs into the garment shipment, send it to the factory to be cut, packed and redistributed without much issue as cops won't specifically open trucks and check every one of them nor check big factories like that unless they had a tip off or the driver of said truck fucks up. So in fact, quite alot of different orgs besides OMGs use these as coverups for various crimes they do be it drug distribution, money laundering or underground gambling dens.
One of the most notorious users of such things are the Mafia and the Triads where it's a normal jewelry shop outfront but upstairs could be a gambling den or loansharking office. It does happen alot.
