I've Been Humbled........... | Lets Play Dark Souls [Part 10]

Never played Dark Souls, never played a Souls-Like, but I've heard from many of you that they are amazing! So I guess it's time for me to put my big-boy pants on and give one of these a try. Things I've been told to expect:

You dont have to fight the dragon in ordner to reach the bonfire. Just run, and you will be fine:)

I think it is time to start practicing that roll move probably wouldn't be useful on that knight because of the limited space but it would be useful if you met another in the open, or in the fight with the gargoyles you were blocking and got hit by fire on the side rolling would be good to get out of stuff like that last minute as it makes you invincible for a few seconds. You can also theoretically roll into enemies as they hit, to hit them as they riposte. Probably better to practice it now when the enemies are easier before you get too deep and then have a huge learning curve.

So, one of the passive online buffs for players is the extra flasks. When playing online, every time a player kindles a bonfire, other players will receive an extra flask. Whenever you randomly see a burst of flames around your head it's signaling this buff has activated. Also, the Black Knights are pushovers. Parry and Backstab all the way. The parry skill will take you far in this game.

So is now a bad time to tell you the enemy that's been kicking your butt in this video is a Black Knight, a standard foe in the LATE GAME? You're holding up extremely well against them considering how outclassed you are at this stage.

Hope you see this, attacks that technically come from above can't be blocked. That's why the black knights overhead swing doesn't get blocked. Lovin the series.

\o/ repair powder is consumable but you can use it when you are awey from bonfire while boxes are permanent but can be use only at bonfire

you can kill the merchant for a pretty good starting weapon

It's counter intuitive, but to slide down a ladder, you hold B button only. If you press any directions it won't work. I think most of us assume holding B + down should do it, but no. Just B button. Weird.

The Black Knights are definitely enemies above the level of the area. Like the red Drake in the bridge, they are thrown in here to mess with people, mostly. I don't think they intended for low level playes to try and take them on, but rather come look for them when they are far stronger. Congrats on that victory.
