  • I've played both of the previous Daniel Mullins games, Pony Island & The Hex, but I hear Inscryption is considered the cream-of-the-crop content so far. I just can't wait to see what twisted evil spin has been incorporated into this card-battle like game. I've heard all these games take place within the same universe, so I'll be keeping an eye out for any story/lore connections I can find. I'm SUPER excited for this blind playthrough, and I hope you'll come along with me for the ride.
    I really hope you have an awesome time, and if you do, it would be amazing if you'd consider subscribing.
    Thanks,
    Benjamight

    That moment when he turns the moon into a card... so epic.
    You can totally cheese the moon with the stinky sigil by the way... reduces its attack to 0. And Leshy gets mad when you do it, he says something like "It makes no sense! It doesn't even have a nose!"

    A few things about the boon trials:
    The one that allows you to draw two cards means every time it's your turn, you draw two. so when you'd normally only draw one card, you get to pick two instead. very powerful.
    rare cards are the ones with the more yellowed look to them, and the outline that almost looks like thorns.

    Welcome Ben, to Act II of Inscryption. Your Inscryption journey has only just begun lol. So glad no one spoiled you on this. It's such a bombshell. First off you have the Kamworks section with the Card Reader vids. I've seen so many youtubers relate to his like awkward filming vids of himself since they have experience of that lol. But also it really blows open the doors as to what the story and lore of this game is.
    The New Game symbol and finally being able to press it is such a good moment
    And I thought the way you pronounced Stoat was bad but the way you pronounced Scrybes physically hurt lol. It's pronounced like "bribes" or "tribes" not "scrib-ees" lol
    I love your realization that the 4 Scrybes are the 3 talking cards +Leshy. It puts a lot of stuff in perspective.
    Also that eye you used was a magic eye not a technology related eye lol. If you rememeber the Green Goo said it's Master was Magnificus(the Scrybe of Magicks)(the Stunted Wolf) if you remember the Stunted Wolf was missing an eye so that magic eye was actually Magnificus's eye lol. The only real big influences in Act I's gameplay of the four Scrybes was Leshy's Beasts(Blood system) and Grimora's Dead(Bone system). P03's technology (Energy system) and Magnifus's Magic (Mox system) didn't really make an appearence in Act I but all four magic systems do make an appearence in Act II as you can see. I would recomend making yourself familar with all four card systems even tho I get the familiarity of Leshy's(beasts) and Grimora's(dead) systems are very appealing.

      Yeah, the fact I feel like I just started the game, is pretty wild. Originally when I booted up this night to record, I was like "Sweet, I'll be able to finish this game and get it to Members before I leave on vacation"... but NOPE! All I did was finish the intro...lol. I'm looking forward to diving back in when I return. I'll be sure to try to explore the different types of cards too.

    Great ep. That Leshy battle was almost too easy for you lol. You absolutely swamped him so good job tho I was also inwardly wishing it was more down to the wire lol. I always love the Leshy photographing the Moon moment and then playing it on the baord it's such a great moment that kills most people their first rodeo with it. Also I'm so glad you finally learned the Cabin Dude's actual name: Leshy. Been so hard to call him like cabin dude for so long lol. Also it's pronounced Leshy(like mesh or fleshy) not Leeshy lol. Thanks for the non spoiler thumbnail and the cheeky misleading title, you made me doubt your victory lol.
    Now that you've finished the Cabin area I can say you did a really good job finding all the secrets/puzzles in that area. The only things you missed is
    -if you offered the Black Goat to the Bonelord you would get the Boon of the Bonelord which would give you 8 bones at the start of every battle
    -if you gave the Adder, Long Elk, or Ringworm to the Campfire people you would poison them and then every future campfire they won't be there and you get free buffs of a card(maxing at 5 times)
    -if you completed the picture frame puzzle a second time you would have got a third candle(life) for the rest of the playthrough
    -if you completed the picture frame puzzle a third and final time all your squirrels would instead be bees meaning they could all fly and could actually attack.
    You found everything else so great job.
    There's a number of strategies or sigil/card combos you didnt discover but that's stuff you can discover on your own time. Great job in this section of the playthrough but as you now know Inscyption is far from over lol.

      Thanks Palintir, appreciate the feedback. I put a great deal of thought into the thumbnail and title, so glad it delivers like I was hoping. :-) It was also cool learning what the tricky card moves I could have done on the board. SUPER excited to see what all is still to come in this game - in fact, during editing, it was very hard not to want to just boot the game right back up... I'm excited.

    Some of your theories are right some are wrong is all I'll say and can't wait to hear more of them because there's so much to think about with this massive turn of events lol.
    I love how similar yet also drastically different the gameplay is in Act II compared to Act I
    I think you misunderstood the card packs a little. Not all 5 cards will be of the type it's called. For instance if you get a Beastly card pack, 3 of the cards will be beast cards and two will be cards from one or two of the other three card systems since you are kinda encouraged to use multiple card systems at once in your battles. It's def overwhelming at first but I think you'll get a knack for it. And in this area as you can see failure and experimentation is much more forgiving than Act I was so don't be afraid to try stuff out.
    Also this is a common misconception I've seen in playthroughs of this game but 20 is not the limit to how many cards you can have in your deck it is merely the minimum you need for a valid deck. You could have 22, 25, 30 etc cards in your deck. The reason you may want a smaller amount of cards in your deck is the more cards you have in your deck the less likely you are to get certain cards in your deck when drawn but if you want more than 20 cards in your deck you are perfectly able to.
    I can't wait for you to experience more of this amazing game. Glad you are still really enjoying this game despite it's massive changes lol. Just like Act I, there's tons of secrets and puzzles to find and solve so def be on the look out and explore.

    • @BenjamightGaming
      @BenjamightGaming  Месяц назад +1

      Oh man - 20 only being the minimum didn't even cross my mind, thank you Palintir. I'm totally going to explore and experiment, because like you said, I don't die & start all the way over anymore (which I love...lol).

    Hot tips:
    Walk through the mirror
    Open all the caskets
    Beast and death hybrids well
    Bring all the skellies
    You can make a bigger deck than 20.
    If you stick with death deck, buy bone heap card in the store with your foils.
    Scrybes is not pronounced scrybees

    36:13 That rare card; the Ourobos, has a special ability that makes it really good. A shame you didn't got the chance to find it in act 1.

    • @BenjamightGaming
      @BenjamightGaming  28 дней назад +1

      This game definitely supports enough 'unfinished' aspects to warrant a 2nd playthrough for people... I think once I finish it, it will be something I go back through on my own when I have down time. :-)

    the 20 cards isnt a max. some games do have a max deck size but i think the general idea is 20 is a nice number to increase your chances of getting whats in your deck as the more cards you have the more RNG. but the new deck types are a little harsh. i didnt try the beast deck in this so not sure if that just keeps feeding you squirrels like in the 1st part of the game, i would imagine so? but you can also sacrifice those skeletons if you want to get out a card that will actually stay on the board. and if you notice in the upper left above the bell is your available resources to spend each turn

    • @BenjamightGaming
      @BenjamightGaming  28 дней назад

      Thanks for the tips Roborob - I start to go 20+ cards in an upcoming episode... maybe a little TOO 20+...lol. ;-)

      @@BenjamightGaming Ye, one of the very first things you tend to learn when you start playing a lot of card games is in virtually every circumstance it is better to have as few cards in your deck as possible. Going over the minumum generally only leads to diluding your deck with weaker cards and making it less likely to draw your stronger cards as early as possible.

  • @ChristopherCraven

    Spoilers !
    Can you belive this guy, not only did he give himself three lives , but he also created a new , overpowered card in the middle of the game .
    No one expected the New Game twist when they played the game for the first time. It turns into a whole New Game :3 .
    Congrats , you made it one third thru the game .
    Fun fact : Leshy is a forest spirit from Slavic mythology . That is why he has plants growing on him and moss for hair.

    • @AroWolfArts
      @AroWolfArts 28 дней назад +1

      It's kinda funny because the moon is actually kinda weak and easily countered when you think about it. But it helps characterize Leshy further in showing what kind of aspects of his game are the most important to him.

    so yea the game seems pretty scripted to let you get strong around a certain amount of play throughs so you can move on to the next part. its kinda sad that the camp fire does change till like the 5th reset or something because more people might have discovered that if you feed the survivals a ring worm for example it kills them all so future camp fires have no failure chance so you can just freely buff the cards the max number of times at each later camp fire. also there are some really broken totem combos. like you can have every squirrel sacrifices for 3 blood instead of 1, i got one where every time i played a squirrel i got a random item

    • @BenjamightGaming
      @BenjamightGaming  28 дней назад
