You gotta appreciate how asmond plays games he hears the door close behind him slowing looks back with his character. Seen the mincontol factory sign and the escape tagged on a wall looks back and fourth like making a decision. Get into a spooky situation where you can hear his footsteps like he's walking in metal walkway so he walks just slow enough to hear his steps and build suspense. I've noticed this on multiple games and I say bravo sir a true entertainer when it comes to playing games.

Then he was in complete disobeying mode and leapt off the platform while saying "I do what I want! Good Job Stanley, everyone thinks you're very powerful!" ROASTED! PERFECT timing! You couldn't script that! 😂 And with the skip button, he asked "should I skip now?" and exactly after that the Narrator said: "Yes yes" :D

Man I really love this game. Brings me back to Freshman year of High school. Can't believe it's been 10 years. Time sure does fly. Not sure if I have collected the 10yr achievement though.
I love watching Asmon play this. Stanley Parable is one of my favourite games and if the character of Stanley had a real personality, Asmon's stubborn, willful, and yet sincerely invested approach to the game really encompasses what I think it would be. Excited to sit down to the remaining 2 hours of this
3:40:00 What the game does very well is knowing exactly what kind of game it is and what it needs to be. It's very hard to create a meta game because it requires a massive amount of self awareness and of all the possible choices that can be made. Very few games are able to be fully meta in the same way as the parable. The Stanley Parable is the most meta of meta games. The more you play it the you, and the game, realizes how meta the game really is.
@Not Enough Stories. If anything that shows just how clever it is. Half-life was an FPS with guns explosions and took place during an alien invasion. Does any of that seem similar to the Stanley Parable? The only thing they share is a game engine and assets but the games themselves are totally different.
@Not Enough Stories. So many games are basically Half Life mods. A few days ago I heard a dev saying "You could say that basically every Source game is a Half Life mod." Since the whole Source engine came out of that game. But fun fact, that even I didn't know: Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe was completely redeveloped in the Unity engine. The developer said that they had to completely dial back the nice lighting of the Unity engine to get that Source look. They even applied a filter onto the Narrator's voice to let it sound like a bit worse sound quality, so that the new lines sound the same way that the old 2013 lines sound. So basically they did a lot of work to not make it seem like it is a new engine and a 2022 game. A lot of engineering to get that look and feel of that 2013 game back. Crazy :D Another fun fact, the devs of Firewatch and Rocket League did not only give legal permission, they literally provided everything they had: The models and level file and sounds, so the Stanley Parable devs could port them in. Props to the Firewatch and Rocket League devs for that!
This entire 3.5 hour playthrough was definitely dang fun to watch! I watched Markaplier play the original Stanley Parable. It's really neat to see they've updated it and added new stuff to it! Was a lot of fun!
played the OG mod, played the first release and played this ultra deluxe- I hope he plays more, there are a few endings that could be a good chuckle- Some endings change with the bucket; Small taste, fall down the camera room pit with the bucket, see what happens then- (also chat backseat gaming is funny to watch.)
This game is so fuckin perfect for Asmon to do a play through! Hilarious start to finish. Never heard of this game before but its for sure S tier as Asmon says!
I liked playing the Stanley parable 8. My favorite ending is the No Choice ending. The thing that reminds me just how amazing this game is, is that someone can never find these, and still call it amazing. Like all the best games, it's based on how the player explores. From Dark Soul's Ash Lake, to Hollow Knight's White Palace and Hive, to just hopping out the first window to the left in Stanley Parable. Easily one of the best games ever made.
From the ashes of depravity rises the phoenix of quality. How else to describe the Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe? Such a revolutionary step forward in the lineage of one of the most beloved video game properties of all time! The additions and changes made to this expansion will surely resonate in the annals of the history of all media ever made. It is perhaps true to say that no mistakes are forever etched in stone. For the stone into which The Stanley Parable was carved has itself been transmuted offering a message of hope to those who have erred in their judgement. You are not beyond redemption. You may change, and you may become more so much more than you were before. If there is any message to be taken from The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe it is this... What a fortune, a privilege, a joy it is to have had such an experience it leaves me hopeful that a community - as a world there is time for us to become our greatest selves as great as we ever could dream of in our wildest, most ambitious visions for a brighter future.
One of the craziest, most interesting, exciting, Unpredictable, and creatively Fun games i have ever seen EVER. there is something new behind every door, every decision, every experience. And i don't think ive ever seen a game with this much interaction with the Player. The devs have outdone themselves, they completely understand their Audience and their player base. Simply Amazing !!!
nah. how do I win? there are no enemies and there is no ranked system yet. 1/10, graphics is the only good thing, I can't even hear steps with this stupid roleplay voice in the background
@@Teh_Duck i'm trolling haha, but there's a point to be made still. some people don't really care at all about a game like this, all they want is to play competetively :) so for them, the game isn't that crazy, interesting, exciting and creative

@@TimNurTVYeah. You listen to the narrator and obey all his commands for what is known as the freedom ending. It's ironic in how you free Stanley from the mind control facility, but by following the narrator's instructions you are not truly "free".
@@TimNurTVusually the choice ending is considered the true one as it has credits roll and is most in line with themes of choice. For the ultra deluxe the epilogue acts as the ending as it’s the last bit of content and is in line with the themes of the entire ultra deluxe about greedy game companies
If you view the game from the point that a) the narrator is holding Stanley in a neverending prison of torment or b) that Stanley is insane and it all takes place in his head, then it really is one of the better horror games I've ever played.

I fucking love how the devs were watching at one point and fucked with you a bit on the Stanley Parable 2 page!! That was fucking awesome because requires them actually watching, not every player would see that. I knew this was the case after I scanned the code myself, originally thinking it was a real thing that knew who you were, but nope! Asmon came up for me too while this was happening, which told me they were just fucking with him!
@@kellynolen498 I think they got enough advertising out of this. Through the fact that he was playing this game alone, he is a famous Twitch streamer with many viewers, there are now 1 million views on this RUclips video, and in the end he summed it up with basically a 10/10 impression, I think that works wonders for the marketing of the game :D

I strongly recommend you play another game by the same person who brought us the stanley parable. Check out the beginier's guide on steam. It is a deeply insightful look into the mind of another person's inner world. To me, there is no doubt that there has been no greater expression of art, psychology, and the soul of an individual via a video game in the world today. I would absolutely love if you ever got around to a playthrough on one of your streams. It would be very interested seeing your perspective on it. It takes about 90 minutes to play through, yet has deeply touched my life. Fingers crossed you read this, and are interested in giving it a playthrough!
I discovered Asmon about 5-6 years ago, never been into MMOs but I've always enjoyed his ability to look at situations critically - especially concerning the games industry. This was the first time I saw him legit play a game, and what a ride this was! You can tell it's not the sort of stuff he's usually into, but he still gets 100% into what the game is all about. Hopefully he'll do more single-player games in the future.
watching you play games like this is sooooo entertaining. looking around while figuring out if youll go through the escape or to the mind control facility had me rolling
Absolutely epic Stream/video. And Asmon did an amazing job reacting in an entertaining/ fun way to what the game brought. I feel like sharing this to my non-gamers friends to really break the idea they have of what a game can be :p. Need a part 2 !
I put this on to watch something I didn't have to pay so much attention to (because it's 3 hours so I assumed a lot of it would be boring tbh, nothing against him just how it ends up when things are 3 hours long) but asmon actually made this super entertaining. I can't see anyone else doing as good of a job as he does. 💜
Its really great to see Asmon having the time of his life, Going from a streare focused on a Single game to branching out and discovering new things and experiences with his stream. I am so proud of him!
The narrator getting a taste of what Stanley went through (the skip button scenes 1:47:49 ), for whoever knows how long, was brilliant tbh! Luckily (or unfortunately) for Stanley he was under "mind control" and enjoyed his job for what it was(society's view on a "good", high paying, and secure occupation perhaps?). There are a lot of Stanleys in this world that live there lives based off of other people's expectations and sometimes the "mind control" gets shut off and they realize what they themselves desire the most in life.
Another brilliant moment is the "infinite hole" gag imo 2:32:02 . I think the symbolism is based off of making questionable choices, even when you don't know what to expect; or maybe even knowing what COULD happen and just deciding to try it anyways(kinda similar to all other choices you make through out the game). Choices that could effect your life/mental state negativity maybe? Because Stanley literally takes a downward spiral to what he assumes is infinite, but it's actually not. He hits the ground and has a chance to start back at the top, only to jump back in and experience the fall again. But the fall was much shorter, allowing him to return knowing more about the trip he took before. Again, and again untill the hole was so shallow, it's almost like he could never fall more then a few inches. I think it's symbolism is referring to the habits of humans and their emotions, also learning from mistakes/accepting outcomes. After all that, the narrator leaves him! Being the only other connection Stan has made since his "mind control" was lifted, that shallow hole started to get deeper and deeper again. Stans perception changes, they way he views himself changes, and he once again takes a slow decent into the "infinite hole".
I feel the idea is more that Stanley as a video game character _is_ having his mind controlled (by you) and equally the player is having their actions controlled (by the narrator), hence the irony of telling a story about breaking free of being controlled by accepting control.
It was incredible to watch Asmon go through this game. I have always consider him a WoW player that wouldn't give games like this a second look. I am glad he had a fun experience.

"Fuck you narrator, i do what I want! I wanna get out of the level, i wanna break this shit, NOPE im not doing what you say!"
1:46:00
"NARRATOR PLEASE COME BACK, im stuck outside, please let me back in the game with the content!"
This was so unbelievably perfect. I'm not sure he realized the depth of what just happened kek
how the hell did the developers manage to create content for so many different types of actions that a player may take??? that is so impressive!
iterative development taken to the extreme lol.
If they do this, then this happens
And there are even plenty more ways, endings and dialogues to discover in the game... Truely amazing.

Man I really love this game. Brings me back to Freshman year of High school. Can't believe it's been 10 years. Time sure does fly. Not sure if I have collected the 10yr achievement though.
The first game has a 5 year achievement.. I'm still waiting till this year's august then I can play it again
Guess you'll just have to get on and find out lol
@@blummel97 oh so it was 5? then im sure i have the trophy by now. Ill have to check steam I guess.
@@MrDwarfBangityBang It was 5 in the original, It's 10 now in Ultra deluxe
Yeah, really brings you to that memory zone in your head
Honestly, this was golden. I loved when developers decided to pinch in. This is such a magical game and I hope it sells very well!
It all starts with "This is a story of a man named Stanley"
SUCH A PEAK GAMEE!!!
I love watching Asmon play this. Stanley Parable is one of my favourite games and if the character of Stanley had a real personality, Asmon's stubborn, willful, and yet sincerely invested approach to the game really encompasses what I think it would be. Excited to sit down to the remaining 2 hours of this
Let’s not pretend Blizzard knows how to make anything even remotely as smart or meta as this

@@JgHaverty and still better than anything blizzard made

@@Vihara2 wut? Youre high dude lmao
This is going to be an interesting game to see him play.
Basically? That's literally what it started as.
Crazy :D
Another fun fact, the devs of Firewatch and Rocket League did not only give legal permission, they literally provided everything they had: The models and level file and sounds, so the Stanley Parable devs could port them in. Props to the Firewatch and Rocket League devs for that!
@@IroAppe I wonder why they did the whole thing in Unity then instead of just Source,
2 years later, and I have come back to watch this video several times. Just for noise to fall asleep to or backround noise. Great video! Very funny!
We all need an Emotional Support bucket. I honestly think the world would be a better place for sure.
Having Asmon be this amazed and call it an S-tier game truly shows how great this game is! So fun to watch him play!
He really is a great content reactor and his takes I can relate too
“Stanley was addicted to drugs and hookers.”
We ❤️ Stanley!
This entire 3.5 hour playthrough was definitely dang fun to watch! I watched Markaplier play the original Stanley Parable. It's really neat to see they've updated it and added new stuff to it! Was a lot of fun!
This is without a doubt the funnist and most captivating playthrough I have ever sat down and seen :D
These!, exactly my thoughts!!!!
Having to crouch out from that corner is the sickest thing I've ever seen in a video game.
played the OG mod, played the first release and played this ultra deluxe- I hope he plays more, there are a few endings that could be a good chuckle- Some endings change with the bucket; Small taste, fall down the camera room pit with the bucket, see what happens then- (also chat backseat gaming is funny to watch.)
Easily one of the best games ever made.
no fucking SHOT that was a dev talking to him in the broom closet
You mean McConnell?
This is one of the few videos I come back a few times every year to watch. Really hope there is a part 2.

I hope Asmon does another stream of this. He didn’t even get all of the original endings of the Stanley Parable, never mind the new stuff
It's so great to see this game being introduced to a new audience after all this time.
The fact that there are at least 5 more endings/things to interact with (spamming the door, jumping out the window, plug in warehouse, the video editing ending, etc)
Watching streamers isn't usually my cup of tea, but this was some enjoyable background noise
Never imagined this game had so many layers to it, is there even a true ending for this game, the end is never the end
The “true” ending is following the instructions, I guess
@@TimNurTVYeah. You listen to the narrator and obey all his commands for what is known as the freedom ending. It's ironic in how you free Stanley from the mind control facility, but by following the narrator's instructions you are not truly "free".
@@TimNurTVusually the choice ending is considered the true one as it has credits roll and is most in line with themes of choice. For the ultra deluxe the epilogue acts as the ending as it’s the last bit of content and is in line with the themes of the entire ultra deluxe about greedy game companies
during the first 20 minutes it felt like he was a guard in a stealth game where his vision is a cone in front of him and he can't see outside of it.
I keep watching different creators play this game because it's really cool to see how each one plays it and use it differently.
If you view the game from the point that a) the narrator is holding Stanley in a neverending prison of torment or b) that Stanley is insane and it all takes place in his head, then it really is one of the better horror games I've ever played.
I like The view of both Stanley and The narrador being like 2 interwined Gods, its explain stuff like The way The female narrAtor talks about them and How Stanley ability to reset The game is Canon(she refer tô Stanley doing It even tough its Very clear she is speAkimg tô us The player)or The fAct in mariella ending he could fly and created stars even If The narrator claimed stanley was wide awake, amongst several other smaller details, like The narrator acting as If he created The game but the later he says The devs and he ARE separate entitis,a Nice parallel, where with The new content The lines between The narrator and creator ARE becoming wider and wider,The lines between The player and Stanley blurs more and more,The epilogue only seems tô comfirm that even futher with The Button who is supossed to say The PLAYERs name calling The player stanley

Same glad he decided to really just be a variety streamer now rather then stick to one game for 8 hours straight
You have no idea how much I've wanted to see Asmon play this game, I literally shid my pant when I see the notification
Asmon knew by looking at the cctv, exactly where he was. Because he knew exactly where he wasn't.
2:07:02 dark souls 2 was the best game in the series though. Objectively
