    Ditto to the comment below -- I've watched several RUclips tutorials on interlocking crochet and this is BY FAR the easiest to follow. I especially liked that you started by connecting the B color to the A color rather than having 2 separate filet pieces. Thank you for posting this!!

    Best introduction to interlocking crochet I’ve seen.
    I’m an expert knitter of many, many years and only seriously started crocheting a few years ago when I became impressed by mosaic crochet. I learned overlay and inset methods but have found this method the most daunting but most alluring because of its reversibility. I find your starting method ingenious and although I’ve seen many videos on the method I’ve never seen yours, which is wonderfully easy. I’d like to think that I’d have thought of it, eventually, because I begin inset this way but I don’t prefer foundation sc so I chain and do a row of sc before I begin the pattern.

      You're welcome! I'm glad you found it useful. This is my favorite way to start interlocking projects as well but it's certainly not the most common. I may do a video showing various starting techniques as well :)
