  • In this video, I will be showing you how to crochet for ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS. A detailed step-by-step tutorial on how to make the basic crochet stitches. In this video I will be covering the basic supplies needed for a beginner, how to make a slipknot, how to make a chain stitch, single crochet, half double crochet , double crochet, and triple crochet stitches.
    This video will demonstrate VERY SLOWLY how to crochet the basic stitches. I will also go over on how to hold your yarn and hook, how to make basic crochet stitches and finally the comparison of the basic stitches.
    This video is an updated version of my previous video that I had made in @Crochetcraft kiduniya . Based on the feedback I had received, I had reworked my earlier video and made changes and added portions that I had missed earlier.

    I'm just finding your channel. Ive been interested in crochet since, well many years😂. My mother crochets, my grandmother, and great grandmother also. Ive tried to learn by several people and videos without success. Today, I find your channel and can see hope for all of this yarn Ive acquired. I appreciate the VERY CLOSE detail, the pace, the repeat, the prompt to pause, etc... As with people all around the world, Im betting MANY AMERICANS that stumble upon your channel are finally finding their ahh haa moment. Those struggling who haven't found you yet, I certainly hope they eventually do. Thank you kindly for your style, attention to detail, and patience in the tutorial.

    Your video changed the game for me. You are a fantastic teacher: incredibly detailed & such thorough but concise explanations. I used another video last week, and I went from crying over barely being able to do a simple chain stitch & completely failing at a double crotchet (single crotchet), to successfully completing a double stitch multiple times in a row, and I’ve just finished a half treble crotchet after watching you do it! You’re amazing 🫶🏿

    Thank you so much for this!! I'm an ABSOLUTE beginner, like am planning a trip to the store Friday to purchase my yarn and first hook. This was exactly the type of video I've been searching for. A lot of videos say beginner, but then jump-in and start talking about things that I knew nothing about. Your video was definitely the ground level basics that I need to get started. I'm excited to get my yarn and hook and give these basic stitches a try. Thank you again!!

    Can't help commenting although I have just started watching. What you say about the yarn, this is the exact problem I found myself it. I am an absolute beginner, did not even know what I will be needing and to top that I have poor eyesight. I went to a shop, just bought a yarn in black and red because I love minimal. I tried knitting, I couldn't separate 1 thread from the other, it all looked similar and after 2 attempts, the thread was useless, it looked like rats chew on them. Now I will know better. Thank you for such a detail explanation. You're awesome.

      Black is such a no no. Even after so many years, I try to avoid black when ever possible. The color is such a small thing, but can make a big difference especially when you are starting out🙂

    • @lindasue8719
      @lindasue8719 Год назад

      I know what you mean! I started crocheting about 10 years ago, and I did it for 2 or 3 years. It was always very basic stuff. I just started again and I'm surprised I forgot everything I knew LOL I came back to a project I had started that is yarn of red and white. 🙄 Big mistake!
      I've never been very good at examining the top row of any piece, to know exactly where I should be stitching into. It's being a bit of a nightmare doing this. However I just don't want to take it apart and start again, nor give up on it all together. I will struggle through on this one, but I won't make that mistake again.
