    i have crocheted for over 50 years and i have to say this pattern ROCKS! when i finish the blanket i am making now for a child, this gets put on my to-do list. i was lazy so i just used a single color so i went straight from one row to another. even then the textured effect of the mosaic stands out like a beacon. i tried it your way and i also did several rows where you put double crochets in double crochets. they both look pretty. we should start a fan club for you, we can call it the "Knot Heads"

      Aww! Thanks! I LOVE the idea of Knot Heads ! That's so fun! The "fan club" is over at facebook.com/groups/PerfectlyKnottyVIPGroup

    In your video you speak so clearly and at a comfortable pace for teaching. I'm in my 70's and don't grasp new information quickly any more, but this is an excellent tutorial. I appreciate it very much. This interlocking stitch looks rather complicated, but with your demo and explanation, I am confident to try it for my next project, thanks to your "5-star" video.

    You really know how to "sell" this pattern. You speak of it so nicely and your voice is so soothing that you got me hooked, literally and metaphorically. I need to make a blanket like this and very soon! Thank you so much for taking the time to show us this beautiful pattern!!

      The Foundation Single Crochet tutorial is a separate video: ruclips.net/video/evdyXxlg5EE/видео.html
      AND! I do state in the video that is doesn't matter how many stitches you use, it can be an odd number, or an even number as long as you follow the way to start and end a row.

      This example is a dish cloth, but it also makes a great scarf, or blanket. I've also done a sweater with this stitch :)

    Just goes to show you that sometimes it's not the yarn by itself, but how it blends with other yarns. I would never have thought the multicolor would mix nicely with the white and yellow (II probably would never have bought it in the first place) but how gorgeous it turned out! Guess I have to broaden my horizons....

    That's a lovely pattern! Very nice. And the video was well made in general. Might I suggest that, in future, you use a larger hook and yarn for the demonstration, as it would make it easier for viewers to see the details of the work. I, myself, prefer to do my work with smaller hooks and finer yarn. But to be sure one can see what you're doing, a larger hook and thicker yarn would help. Otherwise, it is good that you use light colored yarn and that you skip over the repetitions.

    • @PerfectlyKnotty
      @PerfectlyKnotty  7 лет назад

      Thank you for your comments Margie. If you watch some of my other tutorials, you will see that for some projects I do indeed use larger hook and larger yarn.

      Nope! Don't cut the yarn if you are striping, unless you want a gazillion ends to weave in. Just carry it gently up the edge, and when you are finished, do some sort of edging to enclose the carry-ups 💮

      This yarn was so cheery! I got it like 30 years ago, so I have NO WAY to know what it is any more.
