This an amazing explanation!! I use to do a lot of filet crochet with thread. My hands can't handle thread anymore. Just started looking into mosaic crochet and now this has come up in my recommendations and I can't express how excited I am. Thank you.
It is SUCH a fun technique, isn't it? :) Will you be making the blanket?
Thank you for a really clear tutorial. I love how it looks 😊
I love this method thank you
Thank you for taking the time to explain. It has helped so much.
Your instructions are so precise and easy to follow...thank you so much fot the video!!! Blessings- anexys
Thank you. So simple to follow yoir explanation. There are so many videos but people make them complicated. 💗
Absolutely brilliant tutorial thank you so much. Kindest regards 🌸
Thank you for making this instruction video. You have a great talent, you're very easy to understand and informative about the subject.
That's amazing!!!
Well explained thanks
Great job. So easy to follow. I like the “do this, not this” parts. So many people just think you should know those little things. Can’t wait to get started.
I'm glad you found it helpful! :) I can't wait to see your finished project!
Thank you so much
You're welcome! :)
Wonderful, clear instructions. You're brilliant
☺️💜
Great tutorial
thanks! :)
Going to do this love ❤️ 😍 💖 ❣️ 💕 💘 ❤️ 😍 💖 ❣️
yay! Can't wait to see how it turns out :)
I am so glad I watched this. I was going about this so complicated. :) Also no one ever showed me how to chainlessly start a new row. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm glad it was helpful! :)
This is a fabulous video, Pia! You're a great teacher and you have a wonderful, relaxed teaching style!
Aww thanks Susan! Coming from you that’s quite a compliment!
Awesome love it very professional thank you I will use this technique from now on
yay! Can't wait to see what you make :)
Waow this is really Nice. 😁😍
Wow , so useful. I had tried to follow other tutorials and this helped me the most. Thank you! ❤❤❤
yay! glad it was helpful :)
Thank you for the beautiful tutorial. I am sure to sure this one. Just got to get the right colors and I will be all set.
woohoo! I can't wait to see yours when it's done :) Be sure to take a look at the full pattern - the tutorial will only take you part of the way.
@@StitchesnScraps sure will.
Trisha Morris Luke - Hey Trisha, you know what looks great (especially on a throw/afghan) is for your "outside" or main colour, an hombre yarn. For your "inside" or second colour is a solid matching contrast! The effect is just brilliant! It's great to just play with some colours you like and enjoy the journey!!!
I always felt like crocheting should be more than easy knitting, but also not just super intricate grandma table lace.
Now I found this and it is tickling my brain just the right amount. It looks awesome!!!
Starting with an ear warmer and it's so cool. Can't wait to jump into this topic more thoroughly.
Your teaching style is engaging and not pampering, very highly appreciated!!!
Awesome work!
Anne Kaltschmidt thanks! I can’t wait to see your projects :)
Thank you thank you!!! I finally get it❤️. Your instructions are so clear it’s like you read my mind.
Connie Bueche yay!!! Now that you’ve got it, there’s a whole world of designs you can do with it!
Stitches n Scraps yes!!! So no matter the pattern it’s all the same idea, sometimes two front one back etc?
@@conniebueche3989 Basically, yes :) Working in front creates a vertical line of the color you're using, while working behind creates a horizontal line in the other color. If it's strictly intermeshing (without any other fancy stuff added in), it's going to be basically combinations of those horizontal and vertical lines.
Thats is very cool! I may have to try that for a rug with old sheets. Or t-shirt or old flannel sheets. I know it will be thicker but thats what i want for a bathroom rug. Will see if it works anyway. Be cool for a southwestern look.
Sounds fun! I'd love to see it if you do :)
Oh my God I cant wait for my yarn to arrive to start the CAL. Blessings from Puerto Rico.-anexys
You have really done a wonderful job of explaining- very clear and easy to follow. I ordered my yarn today and can't wait to get started on the Jazzberry blanket!
yay! Thank you, and I can't wait to see how your blanket turns out! :)
@@StitchesnScraps I'm not sure how to upload a pic here, but this is what I uploaded to my Ravelry page. www.ravelry.com/projects/CeeJayCrochet/zigzag-intermesh
@@2618winslow Love it! That turned out great! :)
@@StitchesnScraps Thank you so much for sharing this pattern. After practicing with this baby blanket I think I have the pattern down now and can do it a little faster!
Great tutorial only thing I would like to have seen is how you inccorporate the graph with it so we could understand that also more. Thank you.
Thanks! :) I didn't want to overload this first video, and I didn't use a chart for this pattern anyway because it's so simple. I do plan to do more intermeshing this year though, and will likely use charts with some of that, so I may have a video for that coming up!
Hi I appreciate that this is kind of a complicated this pattern, or type of pattern. I am saving it to look at another time because I'm kind of an advanced beginner to early intermediate crocheter. I don't know if this is true for anyone else, but I did have trouble distinguishing between the white yarn, and the background, as well as the lavender and white combination, with the white background. Still, as I said I will check this out another time, maybe when I have some more crochet experience. Your explanations were really clear though, but I just had trouble with the colors sort of blending all together.
Thanks for the feedback, I’ll keep it in mind for future videos. I hope you do give it a try, it’s much easier than it looks!
Thank you so much nice video. Do you know how to add a border to filet item. That where am stuck at now.
A fillet item or an intermeshing item? For a fillet item, I'd probably start by working a round of sc, with 2 sc in each ch-2 sp, and 1 sc in each dc. Then you can build a border up from there however you like :)
Bon!
Merci!
This looks a lot easier than mosaic crocheting.
They're actually very similar techniques! Some people find one easier and some like th other. (and to make it more confusing, some use the two terms interchangeably lol)
I have a question that's probably a silly question but on each row as you grow your project are you always going through the chain 1 from the row below? I dont remember you saying and its hard to see where you put your hook after the first row, I have rewatched the video a few times and my work is not "zig-zagging" like yours. Thank you for your tutorial :)
You are always working in the stitch below the ch-1 sp. Sometimes you're working in front of the space, and sometimes behind it. Basically you push the ch-1 out of your way and work into the stitch below it. Which side you push it to is what makes the design.
question do we make the same amount of mesh blocks on both pieces ?
Dora Rudin That actually depends entirely on the pattern. For the Jazzberry pattern, I don’t start it that way (with two separate pieces)...But if I did, the inside color would have one fewer block. But other patterns will start with the same number, so it just depends on the effect you’re trying to achieve.
@@StitchesnScraps ty going to rewatch i cant seem to get the concept of this way of crochet down :) so i have you save to favorites so i can rewatch and hopefully get it right :)
Dora Rudin skip the first method entirely, grab some scrap yarn, and try working along with the video starting at the second method :)
Your work is beautiful, but it would really help for those of us who have little time if you could make your videos shorter. I don’t mean to be rude, but if you watch your own videos without sound, you will notice that we spend a lot of time just looking at your hands not crocheting. It’s much easier when people show more than tell. Thank you for teaching us this.
I agree
