    Remember, you don't need every exact piece of gear I mention -- this is just what I use. You can use any camera that has an HDMI output, any type of mic that will hook up to your computer, and any lighting set that works for your space. Here are links to my gear:
    📷Canon EOS R (I would suggest using a Sony or Panasonic Lumix for streaming, while my EOS R is the camera I love, it requires me to record while streaming in order to work. I didn't want to buy another camera just for streaming, so I continue to use my Canon EOS R): amzn.to/4dtohbo -- here is my recommended cheaper LUMIX streaming camera option: amzn.to/3SSDWZi
    📷 Lens. I recommend a wide angle lens with a wide angle, I use the Canon 35mm f/1.8 RF mount: amzn.to/4cx7SRX or bhpho.to/40ULLQZ
    🔋 I recommend getting a Dummy Battery + AC Adaptor for streaming, I use this one for my Canon: amzn.to/3AuI1g9
    ⭐ Capture Cards are important for sending the signal from your camera to your computer. I use the August Capture Card: amzn.to/3AE3t25
    🔌 miniHDMI to HDMI Cable (you might need to get a microHDMI to HDMI, depends on your camera): amzn.to/3YSQpA6
    ⬆ Manfrotto Befree Video Tripod: amzn.to/4dO8PWX or bhpho.to/3QVQvkO
    🎙RODE NT USB Mini Microphone: amzn.to/3WOKlpL or bhpho.to/3YPX6TG
    💡Sirui C60B Key Light: bhpho.to/3SWv0TJ or amzn.to/46Snr5k - Sirui Softbox: bhpho.to/3RaFZrg Air Cushioned Light Stand: amzn.to/4dL6o7B or bhpho.to/3yKRIX9 - Neewer Light Kit (for side and background lighting): amzn.to/3SUlfo8

    How do you make your set up so that you able to see your eyes with your glasses on ? There are no lighting reflections in your glasses 👌🏽

    This is great! Finally, I've been wanting to see your set-up for a while. Your production value is so good. I have the same camera and lights. I'm hoping you'll show us your post-production process for editing your regular videos. Do you use Riverside to capture your content or OBS?

    • @PremiereGal

      You can use Riverside or OBS, but since I don't stream my tutorials I record using my local software. I use a screen recorder called Capto.

    Excellent video, however I have myself recorded with my iPhone 15 Pro Max with the new Final Cut Camera, and everything is fine!

      Sure using a highend smart phone works fine too. Not everyone has an iPhone 15 Pro Max, I have iPhone 14, but still prefer the look of my mirrorless canon with 35mm

    Might be worth considering using a monitor that has an HDMI loopout! An affordable brand in the same price range as this would be the Feelworld brand, sometimes a little iffy on QC but when they work they are handy little things. I have a spare I keep in my field kit that was $120 with a HDMI loopout!

      In addition, the entity I work for just had a discovery call with Riverside recently and they are a great platform to be involved with!

    • @PremiereGal
      @PremiereGal  5 месяцев назад +1

      Haven't considered an HDMI loopout, however, it's not really necessary, bc on my screen, I can see my camera feed through riverside, so I don't really need my on-camera monitor when streaming or using my dlsr as a webcam.

      What is an HDMI loopout?

    • @lvthunder
      @lvthunder 5 месяцев назад

      @@PremiereGalyou don’t need to use HDMI to get the video into your computer. You can just use the USB connection directly. You might need a free driver from Canon though.

    • @lvthunder
      @lvthunder 5 месяцев назад

      @@VickiDavisDesignsa device with loopout has an hdmi in port and an out port so you can connect the video to more than one device. So in this case here if her monitor had that she could use both the monitor and plug it into the computer.

    Some cheap monitors have monitor loop, same with the capture cards.

    • @PremiereGal
      @PremiereGal  5 месяцев назад

      True, but I don't need the on camera monitor when I stream bc I can see myself and monitor my image from within the computer from the capture card feed 👍

    is it safe to use mirrorless or dslr camera as a webcame for live streaming for more than 1 hour? will it damage the hardware?

    • @PremiereGal
      @PremiereGal  5 месяцев назад

      Theoretically a mirrorless cam can stay on for an 8hr plus stream as long as you find ways to keep it cool, under 30-35 degrees Celsius. DSLR cams shut off, so definitely want to use Mirrorless in this case. I don't stream for more than 1 hour at a time, so I don't have solid evidence of this, but definitely go with a mirrorless cam over a dslr. And you'll want to get one of those continuous battery adaptors of course!

    • @PremiereGal

      No, I use a macbook and you need to run the hdmi through a capture card, even if you have an hdmi input on your computer
