He said the audio will STAY in sync if you use a capture card, funny thing is the guy in the video recommends using Elgato which is around $120, this is a rip off, you can buy much cheaper capture cards worth as little as $15 (yes $15) and they work just as well.

Thanks for the great video. I have been using the Gato Cam Link with my Nikon Z6: works well. Snapbridge software works well to adjust exposure/white balance, and especially to adjust focus when you are sitting back holding phone, not leaning forward to adjust camera. I am using the 24-70 f/4 lens. It might be nice to have something a little wider (desk is against a wall so I can't move camera back).

Engadget, you do know that the Yeti Blue is a side-address microphone, and not an end-address, don't you? It is also more effective if you raise it to the level of your face and speak across it, unless you plan to speak facing downward towards the Yeti the entire time.
I find it frustrating how everyone just accepts zoom as the go to calling app. Somehow all the media and tech people love using the Chinese app... its almost like they want their data to be stolen by 🇨🇳.

the USB VIDEO capture device works as an interface for your VIDEO, so it's not at all related to your audio. You can use a USB Video capture card for capturing video while simultaneously using your audio interface for capturing your sound.

This is cool. Hope my Nikon D90 works this way. Here is a thought about green screen. If I set my depth of field correctly I could blurr the green screen and it would be a much more consistent (field of green) background so lighting it would be less touchy. Thoughts?

I'm not sure yet if I have enough bandwidth for 4K live-streaming but 1080P with Sony's super sharp autofocus and the blurry background with the lens, it should produce a great image on Zoom, Skype, FaceTime etc.

Don’t know if anyone else has mentioned this but I had canon 70d and 80d streaming with a black magic switcher and the camera sensors became too hot after 25 to 40 minutes causing the camera to shut down. Quite aggravating. So I have started using old iPhones (iPhone 6) with an app that cleans the HDMI output. Also need the lightening to HDMI adapter. No problems with that. Still use the black magic switcher.

I love this video, and thanks a lot for doing it ! But please, do not use your blue yeti like that. It's not supposed to be aimed at you like a missile. You want the "Blue" logo facing towards you and set to cardioid, if_as it appears here_you're recording voice over, or are just using it for yourself. There are indeed more than one set-ups on this mic, I can promise you that none are suited for this position. Hello, I tried so many time with Canon webcam utility ... its not working. Its like nothing is connected. Same with facebook live, but with facebook I see the option to chose the Canon but I only see black screen with canon webcam utility logo . What can I do ?
Two problem with this. 1. Battery runs out fast (max you will get is 45mins) mine is rebel T5. 2. Audio Video is out of sync. Best use your mobile cam in similar way.

@@kingtejas_ It is hard to answer and depends on camera drivers and how it interacts with the computer via USB. I have personally never tried the setup you mentioned. Otherwise you can plug the mic on 3.5mm jack of computer itself.

If you use obs you can intentionally set a delay to your audio to compensate for this.

Usb capture cards are £10 or less and they work very well
Agree. The Elgato costs RM600 while the normal capture cards are around RM40 for 1080p 60fps

He talked about the issue briefly because you can't use the camera's mic, so try a capture card if you can.

Simply select that audio device in audio settings of Zoom/Teams. It's not dependent on camera
