Fix Your Takeaway For Good With This Simple Feeling!

  • A consistent golf swing starts with a good takeaway. Getting off to a good start in your swing can help you move the club around your body in the most efficient way possible. The most common issue I see is rolling the club to the inside. This can set off a negative chain reaction in your swing making you inconsistent.

    Giles, how in this world of ours have you learned so much so early? A takeaway is as simple as taking a plate and rotating it left. Then combine this move by doing it as you rotate. The rehearsal move is like caramel on the Sundae. Nuff said. Best instruction anywhere.

    Very good. But what about the rest of the swing? I don’t know what to do after the take away? No one seems to go over that part of the swing? Please advise? When you carry the club to left arm parallel you appear to roll your wrists of forearm? I get lost here.

      Like anything in golf you can over do the sensation. Where does the ball start? Right, left or straight?

    • @eddieyoung3856
      @eddieyoung3856 Год назад +1

      @@Gilesgillgolf usually straight then left but sometimes left then left again. My swing for years has been to rotate hands clockwise going back then timing the rotation going through. So your tip is truly a new feel altogether. I’ve lost some distance since doing your your tip but I’ve eliminated the TWO WAY MISS by using your tip so that’s encouraging!

    • @Gilesgillgolf
      @Gilesgillgolf  Год назад +1

      @@eddieyoung3856 so yes this is a complete pattern reversal. Before when you rotate the arms clockwise you would open the face. This would mean you need very active hands in the downswing which allows you to square the face up. Now the face is in a lot more of a neutral position in the backswing. However, if you still do your old release then you’ll be closing the face down way to much. I would check your release and work on making it more passive and less flippy
