Always compress the ball with hybrid and fairway woods, much the same as with iron, i squeeze it away. Works for me, just straighter and more versatile. Also, hit stingers with hybrids, works a treat, and so easy to do.
Hi Matt, always great teaching videos. I sometimes lose the ball left to right with my woods and hybrids, since I've been addressing the ball more upright I've been hitting them straight. I certainly will try to hit down on it more.
Be good to contrast and compare hitting short irons vs long irons vs hybrid vs driver, so we remember what needs to change for each type of club, keep up the great work, thanks!
It helped to watch this! I grabbed a combo set of a 3H and a 4H Mizuno Fli-Hi 2019 and they may be "old" but man do they go. Now to replicate that on the course..ha -sweats-.
I struggle with down hill lies to an up hill target, I know this is a very hard shot but any tips would help. (ie.. do I club up, but if I do I need loft, if I club down, I get loft but not enough club) ... help.
My struggles with the ball a foot or more below my feet. I'm to the point where I want to take an unplayable. I'm very tall at 6'6" tall with very long legs and average length arms.
Hi Matt quick question I decided to get a 6H, 5H, 4H, and 3H my question is ball position for the 4H-6H? This video seems t be for the 3H. Thanks in advance for the info

Good tips Matt , I had a bad day with the hybrid today, so will try this drill tomorrow.
Hit them fine on the range, pull hooking them on the course!

This is great I will change my angle of attack-thank you
Thanks Matt, good stuff as usual
Excellent explanation
Thank you
I always think of the feeling of pressing down into the ground with lead foot during the swing.
Good stuff again matt...
Thoughts in Increasing swing speed would be interesting.
Great info thanks
Good info
Great video Matt, can you do one for a 3 wood please 🙏🏼

Hi Matt, I’d love your input on helping me shallow my driver swing to stop me hitting fades.
I struggle to hit my 3wood both off the tee and off the fairway. Any tips there would be very appreciated. Thanks!
In other words, play a hybrid the same as you do with your longer irons. 😬
Full shots with wedges position of ball in stance

Hook with driver. I learned to hit inside out now get a fair amount of hooks or too much draw.

I also play several Hybrids, 3H, 5H, 6H and an 8H. 5, 6 and 8 I place in the center of my stance, 3H is about 1 to 1-1/2 balls ahead of center.
Thanks for the advice I will try this
Is this right ear only or are my headphones broken?
