Your approach to teaching golf is miles ahead of anyone else I have seen on RUclips. For those of us who don't have tons of free time but can grab a club and work on the muscle memory side of things at 10pm when the kids are in bed this is invaluable. I recommend you to everyone I talk golf with. Keep up the amazing content!

Danny, I hope you'll remember me - I got a lesson from you a while back. I've gotta say, this is the absolute best video I've ever seen as to how the golf swing works, and the differences between driver and every other club. This video eliminates "tips", and illustrates the principles you need to get right for the golf swing to work. It brought a massive "Aha" moment for me. I watched it 3 times already this morning, and I want to make this the base of my game, starting with the set-up, through the swing - I'll work to make this my "mindset" as I come into each shot. I will work on the drill over the winter to insure I come out smokin' in the spring!

Two things: first, the way that you describe things and teach is amazing and I feel like I learned more about my golf swing in 11 minutes then I have an 11 years. Second, whether it’s you, an editor, or a team that produces your videos, the animation, and on screen graphics to go along with your explanation, made this not only the best golf instruction video that I’ve watched, but probably one of the best instruction videos, period, that I’ve ever watched. As soon as the video ended, I had to subscribe button.

Just wanted to leave this comment. Last time I played I watched your driver video with a student. I changed my swing to try and create the imaginary circle like this video also shows. I was absolutely belting my driver down the fairway-- like I have never been able to do before. My targeting was not the best but it felt good and something that I could improve on. I have watched a lot of videos on how to hit the clubs and your instruction helped me improve the most to date. Thanks Danny. It made my round a lot of fun.

Have to say Danny, been a fan of yours for a few years now but this little drill reqlly helped my swing. Took it to the range and just concentrated on drawing the circle. Irons,.hybrid and 3 wood all so much better but the biggest change was driver. Ive been struggling for ages with slices, hooks every shape you can think of. Just concentrated on set up then drawing the circle, absolutely smashing driver diwn the middle of the range, best I've hit the ball in ages, absolute genius and the only warm up and swing thought i need now.... hopefully 😂👍👍

Brilliant Danny. The crucial point here actually is the crushing of the circle. I have massively improved my ball striking by keeping the radius of my swing circle constant throughout the whole motion. Again, watching and listening to your coaching, one can actually hear the clicks in one's head when you've finally got it. Bye now, gotto go practice immediately what you just taught.

This is so clear and I suspect my set up is the issue giving me a lot of failed fairway woods/hybrids. Does the left hand below right on the grip to level the shoulders - that has massively improved my chipping - apply here too ? As always, thanks for this teaching Danny. And congratulations on finding the only bit of dry ground in Kent.

Early this season I was having such a bad time with the woods, that I took them out of the bag and just hit hybrids and irons. I then found myself off the fairway left and I had to hit a low trajectory shot to avoid tree branches, so I had the ball back in my stance and hit my 4 hybrid, the least lofted option I had. But what happened really surprised me, the ball jumped into the air better than ever before! It barely avoided the branches, but it did show me that my problem was largely due to having the ball too far forward in my stance. I was able to reintroduce my 7 wood and next season I am hoping to bring the 5 back too, using this very technique! If only it were as easy as Danny makes it look!

Another great lesson Danny. Seen you with the 3 clubs and immediately thought it looked a lot like my Epic Max Driver and Mavrik Max hybrids. I play mine a few inches forward of center and make sure my weight is forward and hitting down at the ball.

I noticed I have a tendency to straighten my legs or push with my legs during the downswing which lifts the upper body and club further from the ground causing to hit off the heel of the club or top it. It really helps when I make a concentrated effort to maintain my knee bend at address through impact.

12:13 Great lesson Danny. Very helpful. I thought the low point was the middle of the sternum. Big error for consistent long irons and hybrids.

Great informative ideas for the golf swing and the illustrated details. These are the most important clubs to help seniors to reach long par 4/5 I myself use these and when you hit them well it does help the score card interesting points is move the low point ahead of the ball to strike ball first does this mean the release point is after the ball ,as versus the driver low point is behind the ball .Also any changes for using hybrid and fairway wood from the tee.As always great coaching from the people’s coach beer up mister .🍻

Danny, May I suggest you create a list of “winter drills” for those of us who live in inhospitable climates? Feels like the first thing to go over the winter is muscle memory.

Thanks Danny just realised from your demo why I’ve got into hooking again- trying to drop my hands at the start of the downswingI’m losing them behind me I think back to the drawing board 😂

    LOL
I am possessed with anticipation to go try this drill out RIGHT NOW! It seems so logical that I have to try it.
Unfortunately, I had a surgeon do a bit of cutting on me last Monday, so I have to wait until next Friday before they''ll even let me pick up a club, let alone swing one.
Seriously, the "draw with a pen" drill finally explains the physics behind the operation of the trail arm in the back swing and moves it from an attempt to copy a "good" swing to a blueprint for getting the arms and club in the correct plane to execute the down swing. Can't wait to try this (but of course, I have to wait until the doctor turns me loose).

for most of us who are short off the tee, fairyway woods and hybrids are the key if we want pars. i got 3 woods and a hybrid. my longest iron is a 5.

I opted for 4 iron and sold my hybrids. I can consistently make 200 yards+. My 5 hybrid was such a gamble with the hooks and slices.

Thank you Danny! This is definitely a video I need to watch a few more times. I am not able to go out and play until January due to my work schedule this time of year, but I plan on putting these tips into practice!
