I don't really watch Vtubers much anymore but Hololive was a big part of my life back in 2020 and 2021. It kept me happy, and Ame was one of the main reasons I got invested in Hololive in the first place. It's crazy and still sad to see her leave, but I guess it had to happen eventually. I remember when all of you in MYTH were pretty much trying to figure things out yourselves during the tough quarantine era. Even with the limitation of being overseas, you guys were able to pull off a "3D Debut" and multiple huge collab events that were put together and presented so well! You and your genmates were absolute troopers for giving worldwide Hololive fans the greatest of days during the roughest of times. And I believe a lot of it was thanks to you. Thank You So Much, Ame! Myth debuted the very week that I first started watching Hololive. I've never known a Hololive without Amelia Watson, and it's hard to accept that era is over. There was a lot of hype around the new english branch of Hololive. Back then I had know idea what a Vtuber was. Then I saw one of streams it was so funny you were talking about one of your wild childhood stories. I was instantly hooked and I had no idea how much Hololive was going to part of my life. Your streams were always so creative, fun, and full of love. I’d watched them and get inspired thinking about how you did this or that. I started getting back into art and I made props for you on twitter. The first time you used one my props I was so excited. This is why i can't get too attached, never be emotionally dependent on someone else. Also but the funny thing is my feelings towards vtubers differ greatly from liking the average celebrities, because vtubers doesn't need to show their real face they speak on a whole level of truth that you can feel in your hearts. My first exposure to Hololive was a random clip of Ame. I've not watched her streams consistently, but I've always thought very highly of her. Her presence both on and off screen has always seemed highly positive, and I've always just gotten the impression she's an all around great person. I vividly remember a couple months ago thinking how glad I was that she was around, even if I didn't watch her directly, Hololive seemed like a better place for her being there. Thank you and best of wishes, Ame. It's been a truly great four years.

This was just so sudden. I’m just…in shock right now. When I first joined this rabbit hole, you along with the rest of Myth were one of the first VTubers I really started watching a lot. To see this announcement…It’s very sad, but I also feel that you’ve given us an amazing four years. I’m really gonna miss you, Ame, but I know you’re going to do amazing things out there. I am very curious, though, as to what you mean when you say this “isn’t a graduation.” I guess I will reserve my thoughts for when/if more info comes out regarding that. this is basically either graduation or termination. the reason she is not using graduation word cause there will be no 3d grad live just like what happen with magni and vesper. or it could be termination behind the scene but bc ame is not holo jp and for the good of ame and holo reputation they will not using termination word. it's just both side cant find mid point of deal so the contract has been stopped. hololive avoiding drama just like what happen with selen and niji en so they using another alternative terms.

It's bittersweet but this all sounds like her advancing her personal career and maintaining positive relations with Holo as a sort of affiliate. I'm happy for her in that it sounds like she is just taking the next step in her life and pursuing further things she wants to do. I wish nothing but the best for her and appreciate the wonderful chapter in the journey of her life that she shared with the world.

It's a young person's gig ultimately - I'm sure it's very rewarding, but can anyone really imagine making a long-term *career* of it? Are the Holomyth girls really going to be doing this into their thirties - let alone into their forties and beyond? It's just not sustainable in an industry where they're very much subject to the fickle whims of fandom. If Ame's got a chance to transition into a role that allows her to use the technical skills she's gained to make a real go of it, to move more behind the scenes and into an industry stream where she could feasibly keep working for decades, then it's probably best she takes it.

I expect she's stepping away from the performance aspect to focus more on more production/technical roles in projects she's working on. Think of it like the film/tv actors that get into producing and directing, so they step back from their acting careers.

@@holo23 We don't know the full details but the part where she will still be affiliated with Cover, leads to believe she's transitioning to a more behind the scenes capacity. Ame has been the one doing a lot of stuff for Myth behind the scenes over the years from the "debut 3D" stream to setting up events. She's very good at that & Cover probably took notice of that once Ame decided to cease her activities as a full time streamer.
Well... It was 4 years anyway. I think for something like vtubing it's more than an acceptable as an accomplishment, and in the top company, even! Careers change, some things end some begin anew. New recruits come and some older go different paths. We need to accept it as part of not just vtubing but life itself. The idea of keeping her character alive for special occasions is perfect. It's actually a practice I think they should always do. That way someone never leaves entirely, considering they're all friends outside vtubing. So, cheers to Ame, goddammit! Well said. Think of it this way, if Myth was college, its members have been around long enough to start out this month as 5th Year Seniors. Most people don't keep a job for four years these days. Even the average pro sports career is roughly 3 years. The day will come when all the holomems will move on. Just enjoy the time you have with them now.

Back then I had know idea what a Vtuber was. Then I saw one of streams it was so funny you were talking about one of your wild childhood stories. I was instantly hooked and I had no idea how much Hololive was going to part of my life.
Your streams were always so creative, fun, and full of love. I’d watched them and get inspired thinking about how you did this or that. I started getting back into art and I made props for you on twitter. The first time you used one my props I was so excited. Next day I got out my old sketch book and probably filled 10 pages of ideas and sketches for props. I’ve improved so much as a artist and that’s all thanks to you.

My first exposure to Hololive was a random clip of Ame. I've not watched her streams consistently, but I've always thought very highly of her. Her presence both on and off screen has always seemed highly positive, and I've always just gotten the impression she's an all around great person. I vividly remember a couple months ago thinking how glad I was that she was around, even if I didn't watch her directly, Hololive seemed like a better place for her being there.

I'm happy for her in that it sounds like she is just taking the next step in her life and pursuing further things she wants to do. It's a young person's gig ultimately - I'm sure it's very rewarding, but can anyone really imagine making a long-term *career* of it? Are the Holomyth girls really going to be doing this into their thirties - let alone into their forties and beyond? It's just not sustainable in an industry where they're very much subject to the fickle whims of fandom.
If Ame's got a chance to transition into a role that allows her to use the technical skills she's gained to make a real go of it, to move more behind the scenes and into an industry stream where she could feasibly keep working for decades, then it's probably best she takes it.

@@holo23 We don't know the full details but the part where she will still be affiliated with Cover, leads to believe she's transitioning to a more behind the scenes capacity. Ame has been the one doing a lot of stuff for Myth behind the scenes over the years from the "debut 3D" stream to setting up events. She's very good at that & Cover probably took notice of that once Ame decided to cease her activities as a full time streamer.
She has always been a pioneer of her craft. Holo won't be the same without her

Well... It was 4 years anyway. I think for something like vtubing it's more than an acceptable as an accomplishment, and in the top company, even!
Careers change, some things end some begin anew. New recruits come and some older go different paths. We need to accept it as part of not just vtubing but life itself. The idea of keeping her character alive for special occasions is perfect. It's actually a practice I think they should always do. That way someone never leaves entirely, considering they're all friends outside vtubing.

Ame, this is for me the (somewhat) loss of my favorite. You were more than my oshi; you were the heart of my love for vtubers, someone that helped hook me into this new hobby, this new trend, when all of my friends were getting into it and I was looking for a foothold. You have been an amazing guide, and an incredible, literally unbeatable member of -Myth-, and a clear landmark standing out even among your wonderful peers.
Watching you has been a joy; your unbridled creativity, your constant need AND ability to find new things for you and your team to do, your fun voices and of course, who could forget Bubba, your constant companion.
Thank you so much for all you've done, and know that wherever you go next, I'm just one of the many millions, MILLIONS of people who were able ti smile because of you, and who are looking forward to whatever you do next, even if we don't get to go along for the ride. This is a tough watch, but you've left me in better circumstances than you found me... and I can only hope it's the same for you, with all of us. Safe time travels Amelia, and always know that you will be remembered.

I’m finally building up the courage to watch this. Ame, while I don’t like to use the term oshi, you definitely fit that description for me. I’ve been here since Myth’s announcement and your debut. I could fill a book with all of my good memories over the years. As others have said, I knew this day would come, especially with all the graduations I’ve witnessed over the years, but when it’s your favorite streamer it’s like a bad dream. Thank you, for all your streams. I was never really one to comment or talk on streams but this video will be an exception. A lot of your videos cheered me up from some pretty bad days and it got me through tough times. Please know that you were able to make me laugh again after years of being depressed just from being you. Even if your streams weren’t life lessons, the distraction was great enough to help me overcome some difficult situations.
I hope you realize that you’re an amazing person who’s so talented and bright. You paved the way for many VTubers from small things like the schedules to the smol emotes and animations. You’ve helped so many people, much more than you’ll ever know.

Oh yeah. Ame has always shined behind the scenes helping her EN friends, in addition to her work in front of the camera. Knowing that she won’t be in front of the camera from here on out still hurts, but it hurts a lot less knowing she isn’t ever truly gone.
