    Glen McCurley died in prison on July 15th 2023. He got to live nearly 50 years after he brutally killed Carla Walker. RIP Carla.

    I watched another video about this story, and Carla's boyfriend ended up moving to Alaska but kept in touch with the family till her parents death.

      @@woutervanlent5181 It angers me that he was free for so long, that evil B**** destroyed Carla's future by what he did to her, and he destroyed her boyfriends life too. I was so happy to hear that his health was in such poor condition, if that's any consolation. But at least his memory is now Mud, and he will be only remembered by those who knew him as a cowardly rapist and murderer.

She must have known about his brutal desire for sex . He kept Carla for 2 days before killing her . Probably he was with her most of the time so that she couldn't escape . And his wife hadn't noticed anything ? ....

    I'm from Fort Worth. This murder has been in the news for so many years. I am so glad her family finally got justice! In the beginning, they blamed her boyfriend. Poor guy was completely innocent and I'm sure traumatized by this horrible murder.

      I didn't move to Texas until 95 ( I live west of the metroplex) but I watch a lot of true crime so I had heard of it. Especially being a DNA cold case

      people often suspected McCoy all throughout his life until they caught the killer. the incident turned his whole life up side down.

      Agree I thank God I never experienced a thing like this but I would myself have trouble getting over that and I don't think it could be forgotten ever Lamont finds stories and some of the stories I am familiar with. It takes a lot of work and research to present stories like this and the stories are so tragic no one will forget stories like this and this story is so horrible May God care for her and she is in the arms of the creator thank you Lamont for never forgetting these people they were here, they mattered and too the survivers, the departed still matter. Lamont is a very caring and impressive young man I pray for his travels to be safe and he is very well-thought of by me.

      Unfortunately, DNA research is hampered by to few technicians and a very few labs. It limits how many cases they can work on. If there was ever a need for qualified technicians, this is it! ❤❤❤
      Unfortunately, that's why the costs are also so high. Hopefully one day the shortage will be addressed when more young people enter the field. However, this is a field that requires years to be qualified to perform these tests.

    This MONSTER lived free for 47 years! This alone makes me sick to my stomach what Carla's family went through all those years. Her parents never got the closure they deserved. This MONSTER ate & sleep with his wife and had children. No conscious of what he did just disgusting 😢

    A person who hits a guy with a gun so blatantly and rapes a woman for two days, tortures and then kills her has done this before. He had no fear and passed the polygraph. Carla deserved so much more in life. 😢

      ......what bruises did he have when he came home - wife doesn't notice / ask questions.
      Something doesn't add up here.

Justice indeed was served according to that eternal mathematical pattern of the universe. McCurley's legacy of murder is exposed for all to see, this is his eternal shame, and similar to Pontius Pilate, that's a horrible condemnation.

      Yep. When I went through CNA training, we were told that some of those old men have done some horrible stuff in their younger years and we weren't supposed to give them inferior care because of it lol.

    I've heard this case before. Once he said his gun was stolen I would have never stopped looking into him as the perpetrator no matter what the polygraph said.

      Honestly as an investigator I’d ask if he ever filed a report on the stolen gun, if he claimed he did I’d have people calling and searching police files and cases on the specific missing gun. I also believe he had killed before, I mean look how he ripped peoples lives in a matter of seconds…

      I doubt he filed a missing report for the gun because he didn't lose it, so it wouldn't have occurred to him to file a report. Police were very sloppy in their investigation. @@sixxrachel

    I just can't imagine how someone can do the things that he did to that girl and then murder her, but then live his life like nothing ever happened. I'm sure he thought that he would never get caught, especially since decades went by without authorities questioning him. That's the beauty of DNA nowadays. Too many unsolved crimes that date back dozens of years ago where killers got off cause there was no full proof that they did it. I'm glad at least this girl finally gets justice. Many killers are dead for years before they find out who really did the murder.

Also Julie Monson 1981, I think Auburn NY, I personally think the murders are linked but that is only a gut feeling. But if you read the Articles and some research it feels as if the case of Kristin was a murder cover up.

    There was no justice in this case. This POS gets to live his life for 50 years free while this poor girl’s young life was cut short in the most brutal of ways. His life was pretty much over, especially with cancer and his age, by the time he was FINALLY convicted. 😠

      It is said..the boyfriend moved to Alaska, but kept in touch with the family until the parents death. And you are right, him( killer) being a truck driver, if he did operate over the road,more then likely killed other women.

    Watched an episode of Dateline on this, last year, 2022, name is "After the Dance" At first, they were looking at the boyfriend as a suspect, poor guy, what he must have gone through and still goes through😢

About 11 years ago my old neighbor got caught talking to a minor female online cops came questioning me I didn't even know him but just waving or a Hey here & there he told the police we were good friends thankfully some other neighbors backed me up The guy left one day never saw him again he had a very attractive wife and 3 small kids I've sinced moved years ago don't know what ever happened.     This is so sad the poor girl must have gone through hell at his hands. And her boyfriend must have felt so much guilt at not being able to protect her. Then there's her parents having died without knowing who killed their daughter and hadn't seen justice served. I hope he rots in hell all the pain he has caused to so many people.     I saw part of a Dateline interview when after the killer was convicted, the police returned the promise ring Rodney gave Carla to him. It had been in evidence all those years. 😢

    The really upsetting thing about catching these criminals decades from their crimes is that once arrested, tried & convicted they usually don't last long in prison and that's a travesty. Love that they are at last caught, however.

    The "my gun was stolen" response to the detectives asking about his gun, should have been a red-flag moment. even better, they should have gone to his house with a search warrant.

    It's a damn shame that are government does not pay for DNA testing needed in the criminal justice system, either to exonerate or convict, when so much money is just absolutely wasted on worthless crap resulting in this $%^&* getting to live life for almost 50 years, this is a heart breaking case.
