- After owning this 2006 Dodge Viper for just over 6 months now, I have put together this list of things I love about this car. I know it is long, but there is just so much to cover! I rode in an 04 Gen. 3 and loved it. Basic and a beast of a car. They are reliable, cheap for what they are and can do, and look phenomenal.

The Viper didn't have traction control until the Gen V. This doesn't have TC.

Awesome video! Such a coincidence. I just found this after having pulled the trigger a couple weeks ago on a virtually identical Viper. Mine is also 2006/red/convertible but it has black wheels. I totally agree with all your points. Such a great value and definitely like the omission of all the needless electronics that just gets in the way. Looking forward to seeing your video about dislikes so I can compare with mine. BTW, I figured out the trick about drive-thrus also. It's hard to order with all that side exhaust noise. Turning of the engine is an easy work around.

The Dodge Viper is a Timeless Car and my Favourite overall
One more 500 HP car to mention is the E60 M5 man, and M6 of the same model (I own the M5) but great video love to see more!

Incorrect. Lamborghini didn't develop this engine in early 2000s for Chrysler... they cast the block in aluminum for the very first Gen Viper in 1990.
Yeah, when he said that in the video, I immediately began searching for verification. Lamborghini had nothing to do with the second gen cars. Chrysler sold Lamborghini in 1994 after sales plummeted. Interesting enough, Tom Gale, Viper designer, was brought onto the final stages of the Diablo project. I've provided a link for reference. Nice car nonetheless!!!

I was thinking the same thing. Lambo did build them an engine and they didnt like it and built their own, casting the block in aluminum like lambo did. Lambo designing the engine is like the biggest misconception of the cars.

I hope to eventually do a video comparing the two, but the quick answer is that I would definitely take a viper over the Z06. I would much rather drive a car that you never see on the roads. I see corvettes and Z06s nearly everyday. They are amazing performing cars but I just love the unique aspects the viper brings to the table. Both are complete monsters however!

The original design was taken from a Dodge truck engine then sent to Lamborghini to rework it with an aluminum block.
