    Timeline of English language:
Anglo-Saxon- dark ages, was marked by the invasion of the Anglo-Saxons
Old English- early Medieval English, marked by the invasion of the Normans from France
Elizabethan English- Early Renaissance era, marked by the reign of Queen Elizabeth 1, where the KJV was written, many changes attributed to Shakespeare.
Georgian English- during the Enlightenment Era, similar to American accent English
Victorian English- basically formed in part as a way to mock the new American nation as lessers to the superior English. Started in the Aristocracy and trickled down over time
Modern English- not much to say about this except if you want to say "Bacon" in a Jamaican accent, just say "beer can" in an English accent really fast.

Good stuff! I really like your openness to a casual read-through of the Bible. I've always grown up with it being an extremely academic thing, so the idea of just reading one of the books is pretty cool when the language for me has always been studying. I think there's massive value in studying, but taking away the academic expectation makes it a lot less scary to open up.

I actually found your channel by youtube recommending one of your videos while watching one by the Bible Project. The frog cup is amusing.

If you read any book and say, "I don't believe in metaphors and only read things exactly as written," you're not gonna believe anything in that book, especially if the vast majority of it is poetry.

@2l84me8 well, yes we do. The Magisterium tells us. Also, you can just use common sense. It's not that hard
