"Choosing to be introduced as a team...the new England patriots" this was arguably the greatest moment of their dynasty. This was a historic moment. This game really catapulted them to go on to do legendary things. I still remember watching the patriots in 2001....they had that "it" factor. Some teams have it; most teams don't. This team DEFINITELY had it. They played for each other, they played hard, they were accountable, they were talented. .they had it all. Unbelievable. We will NEVER again see a dynasty like theirs
The Chiefs are literally a dynasty now. That how you know the entire NFL is scripted. As soon as one dynasty ends, another one begins. And who did the Chiefs lose to right before their Dynasty began? Tom Brady. The "Goat." And how was that match scripted? It was promoted as the newcomer just fresh off of a superbowl win, going up against the goat, who is trying to prove that he can win without Bill Belicheat. And they decided to finish the Brady storyline with him winning. And they said to the Chiefs, you're gonna lose this one, but you will be the next dynasty. And we're gonna make you look like the underdogs, even though you're literally the defending champions. And you're team is gonna become really popular overnight with girls, becuase we're gonna get taylor swift to date one of the most hideous guys on your team. It's really no different the WWE.
I was 12 watching this on TV in NH. I remember thinking how cool it was that my team, the Patriots, just flat out refused to be announced as players even with all the pressure from the network and NFL the Krafts didn’t back down. And I enjoyed the run ever since.
Bro I for real credit the Patriots organization for my existence today. I didn’t even exist, but apparently because they won the super bowl, my parents conceived me as celebration lol. Meaning if they lost that game (or didn’t even appear in the super bowl), I wouldn’t exist today.
In hind sight you could see the result of this game coming from a mile away. One team was celebrating as if it was their moment while the other was just fired up and ready to go. I remember having a good feeling hearing the players for the pats screaming just prior to taking the field but I can’t say I thought we would win.
I was 14 when this was played. At the Super Bowl party I attended a lot of people were saying “if the Patriots beat the Steelers with Bledsoe, they’ll beat the Rams with Brady”. I also think the Steelers would have beat the Rams that year.
@@BeingConsciousness-yw3zwCowher woukd have likely outcoached Martz as well. Rams would have had a much better chance had Dick Vermeil remained their coach.
It was because of 9/11 (done by bush and cheney), and their name was the patriots, which is the term alt-right people use. It was also the name of the law passed that allowed the government to spy on you. It was written in the script. The signs are right there, and nobody notices them.
The NFL actually made it rule after this. They liked it better this way, because it gave them more ad time to air those expensive commercials. So by doing that, they earn an extra $100 million in ad time.
Super Bowl XXXVI was the last time that the starting lineups for both the AFC and NFC champions were introduced. Will Alan Roach, the voice of NFL events, introduce the starting lineups for both the AFC and NFC champions in Super Bowl LVII in Arizona next year?

Still awesome!
I was 14 and I couldn’t agree more. Pats aren’t my team, but man I thought it was awesome and it made me pull for them that game.
The Rams got introduced as individuals
The Patriots came out as a team
I wonder which franchise would turn into a dynasty after this game?
the scripted ones
One of the greatest moments in NFL history

That was a promising sign.

Tom Brady’s first season as the starter felt like something out of a movie.🎥🍿
because the nfl is scripted.
“Greatness” and the camera cuts to TB12. Oh, how right they were!
Man imagine Brady’s face when he got the script for his career
I came to the comments looking for this!
The last time players were introduced individually.
The birth of a change. Don’t think any team introduced as individual from here on out.
I’m sure the TV networks love it. Don’t have to spend so much time on that now.
Nope after that super bowl
The NFL actually made it rule after this. They liked it better this way, because it gave them more ad time to air those expensive commercials. So by doing that, they earn an extra $100 million in ad time.
It's just serendipity the greatest QB in history got a historical entrance to his first Super Bowl.🎉 Beautiful
Patriots started a trend that has continued ever since
That’s my team. That’s the dynasty my childhood was built on. God I love the pats.
Nice video, I haven’t seen this intro for 18 years.
20 years ago. Remember like it was yesterday when I was 16.
I'm here for the 20th anniversary. Had to watch the intro before the full game.
Thank You Tommy. We love you.
People forget NO ONE came out as a team. It was always the individual offense or defense alone
I miss that old NFL fanfare
Thank you for sharing this, I've been looking for this clip forever!
The very last Super Bowl and NFL game to be called by Pat Summerall and the last Fox Super Bowl to be called by John Madden before moving to ABC
who's here after the 22nd anniversary of the day that changed everything?
A team full of underdogs!
I remember this.
This was the ultimate flex of all time
Thanks for posting this. Teamwork will always win.

As much as I like the team introductions and they should keep it, part of me misses the starting lineups.
I'm glad they changed the format. Because introducing them individually is time consuming and boring
You’ll never see Americans this patriotic again. Not trying to be political but it’s true.
