Zilla Almighty ikr. The cheatriots payed the refs off. The ball crossed the line. It doesn’t matter what happens next. The ball could explode or turn into a pile of shit. Everyone knows that. But the cheatriots always get their way.
MTrayy he’s not a runner you dipshit he’s a reciever until the catch is made which anyone who isn’t dumb knows it touched the ground without full possession
Zilla, as Spock's half brother said in Star Trek 4 movie ages ago, "I feel your pain." Patriots have spoiled Pitt post-season games or plan (the case in this one) many times IN PITT since Brady - Belichick took over. That play by James would I think be a TD under the catch rules now (in 2018 season) in place. But it CLEARLY wasn't in that game once the player's hands and the ball were inspected carefully. But still .... you at very least should have gotten a tying FG to send the game to OT. Romo was correct .. whatever the pass play called ... NOT A SLANT. Pats ruined Seattle in SB 49 and they did it to Pitt in this game with goal line or end zone pick. Frankly, Ben could have rolled right and if no one was open, overthrow it.
This match was crazy and good. Match of the decade. I love Gronk celebration on 2 points conversion. And after celebration when he was carrying Slater 😂 omg that was hilarious 😆

Well little grasshopper ( Jordan Boteler ) that's how us PATRIOTS fans felt and still feel when Eli and the Giants beat us twice in the superbowl. 😔🥺 It still hurts. 😪😥😢😭
@@rondajackson3536. That’s because that was clearly a catch that wasn’t overturned by BS. The call here was. That ball didn’t move. It was him twisting his arms. Then his elbow hit the ground after the ball crossed the plane. Too many BS things around the Patriot organization. They should’ve been DQ’d from the playoffs after Deflategate. They cheated. Again!!
That's what somebody would say if they didn't watch inside the NFL. Ben wanted to spy it, Tomlin told Haley to tell him not to spike it and get a play ready. And as usual, Haley was late getting a play in, so Ben ran the play with Rogers on-the-fly hoping to make the best of it. The ending of this game and his alcohol antics is what cost Todd Haley his job. It's ironic though Rogers was interfered with and of course there's no flag on New England.
If you slow it down and look at it: He caught the ball, turned, his knee hit, as he was reaching he broke the plane, his elbow touched, and then the ball hit while he was spinning it over his open hand. It was a catch. He had control the whole time.
respect to tom pull gronk in "it aint over" respects his opppnent. this is a true champion, like any of us he has flaws but he is most definitely a true champ
That one was even worse than the super bowl play. He could have just thrown it away and taken the tie into overtime. Instead its a broken play and he forces it into the middle of about 4 defensive backs. Just a stupid stupid stupid idea
@@Beneficial_Zill no no it wasn’t he wasn’t a runner and didn’t survive the ground according to the rules then that wasn’t a catch. Good call terrible horrendous rule tho
based on what Ben said in some of his post game interviews, he was planning to spike the ball, but the coach in his head phone said don’t waste the play, so there was some confusion, which contributed to the poor execution, given the time he couldn’t call another play to his team which was expecting a spike, so there was a hand signal to the receiver, who ran a slant instead of a fade. If Ben is correct, I think the coach just added to the confusion. When you have seconds and the clock is ticking you should probably just leave it to the QB.
Exactly! Thats what you call being greedy. You don't win a ball game with one play. Then to throw the coach who called it under the bus. The Steelers cut themselves short every year.
Even though we still had a few games left and we were still going to the playoffs, it felt like our season ended that night. This was because of how good NE was and how if we couldn't beat them at home, we'd never be able to beat them on the road given their track record. It was probably (if not definitely) the most painful regular season loss I ever remember as a Steelers fan, it really did feel like a playoff game. In retrospect, it hurts more now because despite a few little flickers of hope here and there afterwards, that period I feel was the last time the Steelers were bona-fide SB contenders during their Big Ben era window, and now that Ben is gone we as Steeler fans are starting to really realize how good we had it when he was with us and how hard it is to find a true star QB in today's league.
They had more than enough time to make a pass play. If caught its a TD, if its dropped then the time stops leaving enough time on the clock for a FG. Nobody thinks that big ben is gonna throw a pick at that stage of the game. Good call, poorly executed.
Announcers: Touchdown Steelers! He is in the in-zone it’s a touchdown! Refs: After looking over the play and our fantasy football teams... the pass is incomplete. Tom Brady: Life is so good
When did they ever say it was a TD lol when the play happened it was correctly ruled incomplete. Just because it’s a touchdown now doesn’t mean it was when it happened
Everytime I watch Patriots highlights when Eric Rowe was still on the team I see him get beat. Yet, he was the same guy BB bench Malcom Butler for in the Superbowl against the Eagles where I saw him constantly get shredded.
In the rule book .. The nfl believes that if the ball moves around in your hand then its not a catch.. In all actuality everyone knows it was a touchdown and the steelers should have won, but by the letter of the law(nfl rule book) the ball moved so its not a catch..crazy. And thats not even the reason my steelers lost that game..a field goal couldve taken it to overtime but the steelers called a bad play which resulted in the other team intercepting the ball..
@@harshilpatel8217 thats what i said in my comment ..but we all know thats a catch. All this "you gotta do a football move and get two feet down" you dont catch with you feet..you catch with your hands.. Also in the rules it states that the ground cant cause a fumble, which it really was. So it should have been touchdown or ball at the 1 half yard line where his knee was down at
I’m not even a Steelers fan. I am a bills fan but fuck that call. He caught the ball and dove for the line. And it crossed. Once it does that it’s a td
With the CURRENT rules? Yeah. The rules two years ago? No. I don't understand how people don't get they adjust the rules periodically. I'm a dirty casual and I know that.
PraisetheŠun my ideal superbowl announcer would be Al Michaels for the standard play by play, and romo for the analysis. Best mainstream announcers right there.
Life in the 413 according to the rules of football, a pass becomes caught and a receiver becomes a runner when he has 1.positive control of the ball 2.two feet down 3.completes a football act. 1. He had positive control of the ball, the ball does not move in his hands until after it crosses the goal line, at which point the play is already dead 2. One knee=two feet 3. He stretches his arms out in front of him while in possession of the ball in an attempt to cross the goal line before he is touched down by a defender. A very common act in the game of football. All three aspects of a catch are satisfied. What happens to the ball after it crosses the goal line in the possession of a runner is irrelevant, because the instant the goal line is crossed the play is dead, which is why you can’t* lay out a runner after he’s already crossed the goal line.
This was when rules were different if that was to happen today it would be a touch down but back then you had to have control all the way if I AM CORRECT. I felt iffy about that play
It’s 2021, steelers are in the playoffs and I’m just looking back at these old games. The anxiousness is killing me waiting for Sunday to play the browns.

He caught the ball, turned, his knee hit, as he was reaching he broke the plane, his elbow touched, and then the ball hit while he was spinning it over his open hand. It was a catch. He had control the whole time.
That's all true and it's still an incomplete pass
he is not a runner.

Don't throw the ball in the endzone at the last minute if you are going up against the patriots.
better should have tried with a run and the 4th with a field goal
That one was even worse than the super bowl play. He could have just thrown it away and taken the tie into overtime. Instead its a broken play and he forces it into the middle of about 4 defensive backs. Just a stupid stupid stupid idea

After the call of incomplete pass, the Steelers still had three downs to put it in or kick a field goal.
P Pumpkin....Facts
YEP, just the facts.
Who uses "a la" anymore? Nerd. Go DANCE for me.
based on what Ben said in some of his post game interviews, he was planning to spike the ball, but the coach in his head phone said don’t waste the play, so there was some confusion, which contributed to the poor execution, given the time he couldn’t call another play to his team which was expecting a spike, so there was a hand signal to the receiver, who ran a slant instead of a fade.
As a commanders fan, I agree
Why not just spike it and do the field goal to take it to OT?
That’s what I thought they were gonna do. That last play was terrible
Mike Tomlin=Asshole
Ya but there was still 20 seconds so they wanted to go for it.
If they went for field goal they would’ve let Tom Brady throw a td
They had more than enough time to make a pass play. If caught its a TD, if its dropped then the time stops leaving enough time on the clock for a FG. Nobody thinks that big ben is gonna throw a pick at that stage of the game. Good call, poorly executed.

I love how Romo calls every single play before it happens!
Reaching across the goal line is an act conducive to the game of football. Performing a football act establishes the pass as caught.
And he dropped it.
Then we’re talking about a runner fumbling the ball as he crosses the goal line and reestablishing possession in the end zone. Not an incomplete pass.
@@SoldierMed68W He's a receiver, he has to hold on to the damn ball. It's a drop not a fumble. Incomplete pass.
Life in the 413 according to the rules of football, a pass becomes caught and a receiver becomes a runner when he has
1.positive control of the ball
2.two feet down
3.completes a football act.
1. He had positive control of the ball, the ball does not move in his hands until after it crosses the goal line, at which point the play is already dead
2. One knee=two feet
