I've just had the gearbox changed on my 73 plate mokka ultimate. Had it back a week and this sounds popped up again! Will advise dealer of this find! Edit: when it went in for gearbox it had only done 4500 miles
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Formula 1 Autocentre, Bayliss Vauxhall Hereford, Leominster Motors and Ludlow Motors didn't have a clue. Been pulling my hair out and searching forums , videos and god knows what . THANK YOU!!!
I have the petrol version from the same year. Knocking noise( not as loud as yours) from the engine was suggested as needing new belt and tensioner. Had it changed and the noise is less noticed but still there. I'm wondering if the flywheel is has begun to give up ? 🤔
Mines just gone last night. Sounds exactly like yours. Great to know what the problem is. If you don't mind me asking how much was it to fix? Diolch yn fawr iawn.
Ours got more noticeable over a couple of weeks sounding rattly at low revs. Cost me over a thousand pounds but they put a new clutch in the same which garages usually do if the fly wheel is replaced. You might be lucky it could be something else gone on it. Good luck with it.👍

For hand brake you can get a metal 1my mokka clutch as gone as well £960 .00p to fix

@@MoreRuralStuff Thank you. Mine went suddenly but sounds exactly the same. I'll let you know how we get on
Hi, got the same noise I think , but only happens when I pressed the clutch down , did you get that first , my ca4 doesn’t stall yet .
I can’t remember if pressing the clutch affected it. It did it mostly at low revs, especially braking towards junctions.
Were you able to drive with it during the problem?
It was drivable but kept stalling at low revs like when stopping at junctions, Possibly not good for the engine if it wasn’t sorted soon.
@@MoreRuralStuff how much was the repair cost? I’ve been quoted $2500 AUD!
It was over a £1000 over a year ago so probably about £1500 here the way prices of repairs have gone now.
@@MoreRuralStuff did you find any additional damages too? Thanks for the responses!
