Lol, no matter how much you love cars or your cars, as soon as you have kids, your car’s cleanliness is the last thing on your mind. Before I had kids, I used to spend my weekends detailing my car, now it would be lucky to get a drive through car wash ☺️

I mean supermarkets these days like Tesco have car cleaners in the car park. £20 every 2/3 months and you can stay on top of it

Hi Matt, great video and as I would say in French Dieu du Ciel" what kind of people does that to their car? "Tu Pleasent j'espere" I will never want to get in a car that dirty, also seemed as though they carried hay stacks inside the car rather than the boot, At least it cleaned up nice.

Never understood people that cane the fuel out of their cars, its the most stupid thing you can do. I was going to buy a car from garage, I saw photos of the inside and saw the fuel light on and the needle on very empty. No brainer, bin the idea of it.

I never understand the argument that if you’ve got kids then it’s ok to have a car like a dust bin. Don’t feed the kids in the car or if you do make them clean it up after! Yes, I also have no kids 😂
Nerdy fact: Tog24 are an outdoor clothing retailer that used to design and make their clothes near me, in Heckmondwike, West Yorkshire. Sadly they now make the stuff abroad.
    Great video as always 👍🏻

We had these in North America as the Saturn Vue (second gen) and the Chevy Captiva. Overall they seem to be good cars. Here they came with the a 2.2 i4, a 2.4 hybrid i4, a 3.0 v6, and a 3.5 v6 for the first gen. We never got the diesel here. They also came with a honda sourced 5-speed auto. The only engine change for the second gen was the addition of a 3.6 vvt v6. The Chevy version was mainly sold as a fleet vehicle. I feel that the design has held up pretty nice and doesn't look as old as it is.

I had 3 children bouncing around in our cars back in the day and now have 7 grandchildren and guess what ?.......my car has always been spotless , no need for a car getting into that state and I really don't want to imagine what their homes look like 🤣
Scrubbed up really well and shows people even older cars can look nice with a little TLC 👍
My 13 year old motor passes it's MOT every year without any advisories....too many out there driving vehicles they can't afford to run or maintain but these guys are your bread and butter 😁

The state of this car took my mind back to my first car. Previously owned by a farmer. Boot half full of straw and filthy dirty everywhere. Trade sale from a llocal car sales pitch for the princely sum of £500. That was in 1981. It was a 1976 Ford Cortina mk3 2.0 GT. I did 20 thousand miles in the year I owned it, then failed its MOT miserably because of the quantities of rust, so sold it on to someone who wanted it for spares. Thanks for the memories!

A colleague was one of the few people who bought one of those brand new about 10 years ago. It never did more than 30mpg regardless of the journey.
It nearly killed him when the electronic handbrake stopped doing its job and the car careered down his driveway a few seconds after he'd been in the garage and closed the door.
The bonus was the car was so badly damaged it was written off!

I think this is what we in Australia call a Holden Captiva. They are cheap Korean-built cars but ideal as shopping trollies or for taking the kids to school. Not exactly the sort of car you would look at your reflection in the British Home Store front window and I can't imagine towing a caravan with one. It was in a disgusting state inside but the car detailer and the upholstery guy transformed it into what looks to be an honest runabout for someone. I imagine this would sell easily in the UK.
