Isidore's great-grandson Skip Horween runs the company today, faithful to the timeless tanning methods of the previous generations and now passing them along to the fifth generation. The Horweens are among our favorite people on earth. On a recent trip to "Linea Pelle" (the premier international trade show in Milan for leathers), you could see just how highly respected Horween leathers are globally. I love the fact that he is so humble that he knows his place is not in the lime light, but to supply artist with the best material he can. In my opinion that makes him the ultimate artist! Well done! I just ordered a limited run pair of nicks boots that is made from Horween wheat leather! Can’t wait to get them and I will wear them even more proudly knowing what I know now.

The Best Leather in the World is Horween.... Chicago...! South Sider and I think of the Stock Yards and "The Stockyard Inn" a restaurant where my parents would take me as a youngster and Horween Leather...All part of Chicago history..

Pretty weird to see how saddles are made from horse hides and then put on a horse. It is pretty much wearing the dead skin of its brother. Anyways I love Horween and their amazing leather, the Patina and the smell are an exclusive experience
