Their debut album totally rocked my world when it was released during my sr year of high school....soooo many great tunes...the hits of course but also great tunes like Starrider,Headknocker, Damage is Done, At War With the World, I Need You,etc.
It was just the time that the 70s were and what they represented and the freedom that people had to still enjoy life in this country before the cop and government invasion... this song is one of the greatest rock and roll songs ever because it is simple, genuine, and Powerful and the guitar riffs are tremendous
This song is a masterpiece as it was originally recorded and these idiots actually remastered the one that's on Spotify so that he's singing over that instrumental bit which is one of the best parts of the song which creates tension and release...... Why Foreigner.... Why? 🙄
Ed Gagliardi - bassist on the debut album and Double Vision before being replaced by Rick Wills. He liked to play a red Rickenbacker bass left handed even though he was naturally right. Ed unfortunately passed away from cancer back in 2014 aged 62 ❤️
I grew up with bands like Foreigner, Styx, Journey, Boston. Unlike then, I now know more about their histories and unfortunately I now accept that they were corporate bands. Each had a controlling manager partner, and each was lead by one band member. These were not bands. "I wish that I didn't know now what I didn't know then" - Seger.
Dios Sea Contigo I once shared your thoughts, but decided that there are far more important things in our short life's to be concerned with. Don't let such trivial things bother you, enjoy the talent and great music.👍
@@aeromagnumtv1581 That's just a bunch of BULL puked out by new record companies trying to get air play but couldn't because the GREAT BANDS still dominated radio. So they came up with this "corporate rock" BS and joined by the music mags, they showed the way for today's dookeycrat party. Everybody join hands and parrot the same propaganda long enough and loud enough and eventually the people will begin to believe it. That's how they saddled us with so much shit in the 80s. If it weren't for 70s bands like Foreigner, Journey, REO, Styx, Hall and Oates, Fleetwood Mac, Dire Straits, Bob Seger, Billy Joel, Michael Jackson, Paul McCartney, 38 Special, Heart etc, refusing to go peacefully, the 80s would have been a freaking waste land, music-wise because of those turds in suits.
Welcome to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foreigner (about damn time as well!)
Only Lou Gramm is the true voice of Foreigner forever. The rest can be a tribute band
Foreigner was lucky with their debut album. Formed in 1976 singed that year and first album released in 1977 , and album was #4. Not a bad debut.
This is the only Foreigner I listen to. The original. Anything else is a tribute band.
Kind of like listening to Gretta Van Fleet. They're OK but wearing the 70s garb in attempt to look like Zeppelin is ridiculous!
Love you Lou Gramm
I love that Lou rocks the tambourine!
He hits it so hard!
just the woman in you that brings out the man in me..........aaahhh romance.........none today sad!!!
If only you could go back in time.
Man you are not kidding and I enjoyed the 70's so much and it was just a great time to be alive!
I love this song.
Crank up the 8track stereo a lost forgotten 70,s song in this generation
This is one of those songs that you don’t want it to end!!!!
And there they are !!! Love those guys...especially Lou !!!
Lou was a babe back in the days

Foreigner
Atlantic Records, 1977
Never gets old!
ahhh their voices

Lou looked like Allen Collins of Lynyrd Skynyrd back then!
Memories
Viva Lou, grupo talentoso, desde sus inicios. 🙌🙌🙌🙌
They sold a million a
of their single in the first month and 7 million off the album.
Amazing for a band just starting in 1977
Lou looks a lot like James McAvoy, the actor, when he was younger.
Well spotted
I wonder if a band like Foreigner would have so many members if it existed today. Thoughts?
I’m impressed how on the beat Lou is despite giving the vocals 1000%
Lou is a drummer who became a lead singer.

Invasion ?
Awesome opening hook...
Such a distinctive voice and sound . Stay well.
R. I. P. Ian McDonald
Strange band to be a co-founder with, but you can make history twice, right?
Powerful.......love it
super rola de foreigner feels like the first time
This was PRICELESS! Thank you!
To this day I sing this song to my beloved, she likes it.
Slide Chord Intro Version!
Ed Gagliardi 💜
Too bad they fired him. I wonder why. I like his playing.
I can't believe this few views......smh
I cannot believe that these guys might've been passed over if not for John Kalodner.
Ed Gagliardi got a cold, raw deal from Mick Jones I never really understood as being justified (other than the fact that it was Mick’s band)…

What is the name of the bass player?

Music industry is a joke now.
