In May 2017, the band performed two sold-out shows in Lucerne, Switzerland, together with the 21st Century Symphony Orchestra & Chorus, conducted by Ernst van Tiel. FOREIGNER with the 21st Century Symphony Orchestra & Chorus represents this year-long collaboration between FOREIGNER founding member and lead guitarist Mick Jones and GRAMMY nominated composing/arranging team, Dave Eggar & Chuck Palmer, exploring the deep symphonic potential of these classic and iconic songs. Dave Eggar, Juilliard protégé and cellist/pianist/composer, and Chuck Palmer, producer/writer/percussionist, have toured, performed and recorded with artists such as Paul Simon, James Taylor, Patti Smith, Coldplay and many more.

As great as it sounds, I'm fortunate to have seen the original Foreigner several times. Mick is the sole member. The Orchestra was a nice touch for this Dirty White Boy!

@@michaelmosley1699 Foreigner had 3 singers (1) Lou Gramm (2) Johnny Edwards (3) Kelly Hansen in that order. If Mick Jones were 30 years younger and was still playing?? Oh, he would replace Hansen in a heartbeat if Hansen left the band. Hansen has had NO hits of his own. No big loss on account of that fact that he only made ONE album with Foreigner CANT SLOW DOWN!! Which did nothing for them compared to the first 6 successful albums made with Gramm which all had (radio played) hit singles.

I just spent $262 on tickets for me and my sister excited to see Lou. Thought they must have reunited. Turns out there is Zero original members. Nothing but a cover band charging real Foreigner prices. $10 for a cover of them in Daytona. I better get my money back.
Well I saw Lou in Daytona last week and he was great. Played for almost two hours and I paid about 60 usd for second row. Just a suggestion.
I saw them 4 weeks ago in a casino in AZ. Great great show. Kelly is a phenomenal singer.

Unfortunately, any new songs 🎵 from the classic bands are NOT gonna get played on mainstream radio. So it's Lou Gramms voice on the classics that you'll hear FOREVER, not this cover band, no matter what they put out.😮😮😮😮

@@StreetTruckinTitan Kelly's voice is catching up with his age too. He's not hitting many notes either like when he first became Foreigners tribute singer. Turn on any classic radio station Lou will be the one you hear for next thousand years. FACTS!!
@waltersimmons946 kelly admits the catalog is getting tougher every year as he ages. But even at 63, kelly sounds 100% better than Lou wishes he can sing nowadays and for the last 20 yrs. And yes, its Lou's voice we hear on the radio that we all love. I never said anything different. Mick chose kelly to be the tour voice of Foreigner.
@@StreetTruckinTitan I like Johnny Edwards better than I do Hansen as far as a replacement for Lou but either way Lou is still the voice of Foreigner. Lous voice (1) Is on all the hits (2) Lou cowrote those hits. (3) The 4 album is still their biggest selling album with Lou on it (4) Lou is who people will hear on classic rock stations for the next 1000 years (5) Hansen has NO hits of his own. Hmmm, it looks like Lou is still irreplaceable because of all those facts. Those bands can't make a living selling records anymore and Foreigner plus Hansen are far past their prime. Lou still wins 🏆. The rock n Roll hall of Fame will acknowledge only ORIGINAL members. Enjoy fantasy island.
