Probably the best Lou Gramm replacement there is. I was 14 when this came out. And man I was a forever fan. Lou’s voice is one in a lifetime, but damn this guy has it locked in. awesome.
Nobody could replace Lou Gramm. Nobody. He was Foreigner. This is a very good cover band though. And I did see them once live in concert in the late 1970's and once during the 1980's. They were great.
Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, can truly replace Lou Gramm in his prime but I give props to Kelly for doing justice to their classic tunes. Lou was just incredible before his brain surgery robbed him of his magical gift. I almost cried when I heard him in concert in '99 which wasn't that long after his surgery. He didn't want to tour but mgmt pressured him into it. He had no business being onstage at that time and he knew it. His once powerful voice was reduced to barely being able to hear him over the sound mix. As a day-one diehard Foreigner fan it was heartbreaking to witness.
I bought the foreigner4 album back in the early 80s ,great album along with every thin lizzy album I might add. Passed the time away listening here in my home town of Derry. Ireland.
@@mikejones5364 No one sounds like Steve Perry. Also no one sounds like Lou Gramm... those two are legends. But the new ones do a great job, they do sound awesome. But they will never get to the same status... the footprints those two left are just way to big to fill.

it’s because of Mick Jones. The head guys at the RnR Hall of Fame hate him, and said they’ll never induct him as long as they’re alive. It would’ve happened years ago if he hadn’t pissed them off
I took my wife to see these guys at Universal Studios Orlando not long after this was filmed. We stood about 35-40 feet from the stage. They sounded so damn good. My voice was hoarse the next day from singing along with them. Thankfully they were so loud nobody but my wife heard me. Good times and great memories.
What ever job you do in life, eventually you will retire, because you’ve made enough money or you can’t or won’t carry on working. Some of your colleagues will want to carry on, so you will be replaced, Just like Genesis, Fleetwood Mac, The Moody Blues and lots of other bands and Football teams too. Mick wants to carry on and with help of very good musicians, he is. Nothing lasts forever, songs don’t get old but people do, it’s sad I know but true. Let’s ALL enjoy the music, whoever is producing it. Keep rocking folks!
Absolutely! I’ll put Kelly Hansen and Arnel Pineda in a rare group. They’ve kept Foreigner and Journey (my two favorite bands) going strong. If they miss a step, it certainly isn’t by much.
Always excellent. Lou Graham will always be the man and the original voice of this amazing band. Kelly is a superb singer/ frontman and this live clip shows Foreigner remains an incredible rock and roll must see.
WOW you guys sound GREAT. Tight, great Vocals , drums right on, keys just perfect. Congratulations over all the years your music art still shines through today. 🇨🇦🇨🇦👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
My 1st concert way back in ‘78..will never forget those giant mirrors dropping down for “double vision”.. no, it’s not Lou Gramm here but you have to give it up to Mick for having a good ear to find Kelly Hansen, keep on rocking !
People don't even realize how many songs these guys have that are fantastic that you don't hear on the radio like head knocker great tune right there there's so many more love these guys they are actually underrated which is unbelievable
My memory is fading but I was in high school when this album came out. I seen April Wine open for these guys....1977? So long ago now. Im 61 now. No way to put in words how much different it was back then.
We had freedom and there was still some innocence in America back then!… people had morals And a sense of right and wrong and it all mixed together really good for the most part…The 1970s were a special time to be alive👊🇺🇸❤️
Meh...I'm a bigger Cars fan and they did something nobody else had done or has done. That being said, Foreigner 100% should be in there. Along with Styx

I saw Foreigner about 2 months ago and they have the best sound mix for a live concert that I have ever heard. Just listen to this mix on GMA. Kelly sounds great and really works the crowd. Foreigner played for nearly 2 hours and had one hit after another. The musicianship and sound mix set they way apart from most rock bands. If you get a chance to see them in public, do so. They are really fantastic. Please come back to Brandon, MS soon or somewhere close by.
That same year Boston made its Debut and I was 16 and Livin and Lovin every bit of Life back then And then some!Anybody know of a Time Machine to bring back the 70s!

That entire performance was impeccable. Kelly Hansen has blown me away. Elite performance by all.
Foreigner sound like exactly what they always were. A perfect blend of American smooth rock and British hard rock. Excellent.
I will always be a Lou Gramm fan - the original recording of this classic still gets me at the age of 52 :)
45 years later, this still rocks.
Kelly Hansen is such a great vocalist. He's probably Lou Gramm's most accurate successor
He can mimic Lou very well, and Journey was able to get back with the guy from the Philippines who sounds just like steve perry

Geoff P, Mick Jones & Lou Gramm are musical geniuses. Although I know this one was probably all Mick.
How is Foreigner not in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame? They better be inducted soon.
Do the math - 3 to 4 inductees a year - dozens of great bands who are eligible to be inducted. Unfortunately some bands are going to be left out

Well, he was in Hurricane group in 1987
Fantastic and one of their best hits!

The mix on this is fantastic. Perfect blend.
Lou Graham took part in creating this song lyrically and musically, so I’m damn sure this version of the song put a smile on his face.
Long live Lou Gramm...wherever he is now.

Easier to cover Lou when they play it in a lower range from the original.
