Kelly Hanson is an excellent choice to carry on the legacy, he is well aware of the popularity of Lou Gramm and the original Foriegner. He deserves much credit for allowing us to listen to Foreigner today in similarity to the late 70s and 1980s.
I saw them live, and Lou Gramm wasn't there, which I didn't know beforehands. I was impressed by Kelly Hansen, he can really sing the stuff. Good singer, good concert.

Then I click in this vid today, and.. if I were completely honest, this current singer is as gifted as Lou Grahm. Where did they find that friggin guy. He's a gem.

I love Foreigner since i was 13 years old in the late 80's.Knew them from my older brother. This new vocalist killed it. Would say same level as Lou. Awesome ❤

In 1969, I heard Mick Jones and Tommy Brown play "Nobody Knows Where You've Been" in the Texas Bar in Barcelona. My shipmates and I had a great time that night, long, long before Foreigner.

Truly Amazing! This is the best version of this song that I've ever heard. So much better than the album. I find it ironic that Mick Jones, who once cut the size of the band from 6 to 2 members, finally realized that Foreigner music sounds best when played by an awesome band. (I love the live energy of the bass player, too.). Although I desperately miss Lou Gramm, who is one of my favorite vocalists of all time, I've also gradually became a huge fan of singer Kelly Hanson, who is also an incredible singer. Although he is not the song writer that Lou was, Kelly's voice is so powerful. Lou had a bit more edge, but at times his voice could be rather fragile. Kelly's voice is so rich, strong, and powerful .... just incredible.
Bass player - Jeff Pilson. Dokken, Lynch Pilson, Dio, Flesh & Blood/War & Peace, T&N, MSG, and others.... Been around a while. But, cut his teeth in Dokken during their 80s/90s years. He always runs around like he has hot coals in his shoes! haha! Great song writer & singer (lead or backing). Kelly Hansen is awesome, period. Lou was a great songwriter, but so is Kelly. They both have a great sense of melody and ad lib well.... I also liked Lou in Shadow Kings.

When Foreigner 4 was released I was sold! My favorite song was Juke Box Hero. With all due respect, this is the ultimate, awesome version I have ever heard! Being a musician of over 45 years and Foreigner being my top 3 bands. (there is no top 1), this version of one of my favorite songs just moved up the ladder to an arguably race to #1... :0)
Being retired with a ton of time on my hands I spend a lot of it listening to the music of the greatest generation of music of my lifetime. This is one of the very best I keep returning to hear. Maybe you need to re-consider whatever crap you are listening to... lol
Mick Jones not only a super striker for Leeds United but wrote songs and music for his band and Van Halen.😀He is English that is why the band is called Foreigner. 3 English guys and 2 Americans set the original line up I believe correct if I am wrong in New York mid 70’s
Next to the Eagles this is one of my favorite bands that you can listen to there music and never get tired of listening to . Kelly is awesome and so is the rest on this great talent group of guys.
I went to see Foreigner in Charlotte this past 4th of July and their performance was by far, one of the best I've ever seen. Crisp, clear, loud, and clean. Only concert that topped it was GNR, Metallica, FNM at Rich Stadium in Orchard Park, NY, back in '92. I want to see Foreigner again before they hang it up! Kelly Hanson is a great replacement singer!
I can agree because I'm a big Toto fan and Joseph Williams has been outstanding. It's not easy to replace the original singer like in Kelly's case it's Lou.
As a long time musician, live musician, and recording engineer for a number of groups, AND a connoisseur of rock, the movement that began with Buddy Holly and Elvis among others, that performance was one of rock's finest moments, no doubt. Hanson freaked himself out with his performance. lol And everybody else, Tichy beating the living hell out of his drums but with great finesse. Jones is just one damned good lead player. He ... rocks!! The vocals are perfect. Everything is perfect, and perfectly tight. Unbelievably tight, studio quality. And everybody looks like they're having a really good time. I wish I could played with those guys on that song. I can imagine it.
Studio quality, because it's probably got a lot of post production on the tracks. I can hear the autotune. I'd probably rather hear it raw and live without all that shit. I'm sure he's an incredible singer, but there's just too much compression and correction. Sounds fake. But you're the engineer, so I'd be interested in what you think. Don't get me wrong, I loved listening to it, but I don't believe I was hearing what the crowd was.

Jeff Pilson is such a energetic performer, ever since his early days with Randy Hansen and Dokken he's just put out 100% on stage. You can tell he's passionate about his craft.
The immense amount of autotune might have something to do with it. I thought I was listening to "Believe" by Cher for a moment. He's a great singer, but when every note is absolutely perfect, it's tuned for sure. Plus you can just hear the hollowness of the corrections.

This is the song that got me wanting to play guitar when I was a kid. I used to wait by the radio with a tape player just waiting to record the song when it came on. To this day, this song still gets me pumped.

I first heard of this band from a guy named Phil Salisbury. 1976 Phil was there engineer he rolled the tape for us and we knew this band was going to go up the charts. The music was just hotter than anything else out there. Rock on gentleman.
Saw Foreigner in the 70's with the release of their first album, in Greensboro, NC. Always have been a huge fan, especially of Lou, but this was epic. Much respect to Mick for keeping the music alive and getting such a talented group of guys together, I actually have a guitar pick Mick tossed to me in Raleigh, NC in the mid 90's, I treasure it.
Born in 73 I'm a product of the late 80's glam scene, grunge and nu metal but nothing beats a legendary band performing a legendary song. Just kicks ass!

As a long time, loyal Foreigner fan, I never imagined Lou could ever be replaced. In my mind, Lou is still and always will be the heart and soul of Foreigner, but Kelly Hanson is truly an outstanding vocalist in his own right. I find Kelly’s vocal quality, in terms of tone, phrasing and range, to be an excellent fit. I truly miss Lou, but i must admit I’m enjoying the new Foreigner.

I can agree because I'm a big Toto fan and Joseph Williams has been outstanding. It's not easy to replace the original singer like in Kelly's case it's Lou.

As a long time musician, live musician, and recording engineer for a number of groups, AND a connoisseur of rock, the movement that began with Buddy Holly and Elvis among others, that performance was one of rock's finest moments, no doubt. Hanson freaked himself out with his performance. lol And everybody else, Tichy beating the living hell out of his drums but with great finesse. Jones is just one damned good lead player. He ... rocks!! The vocals are perfect. Everything is perfect, and perfectly tight. Unbelievably tight, studio quality. And everybody looks like they're having a really good time. I wish I could played with those guys on that song. I can imagine it.
Studio quality, because it's probably got a lot of post production on the tracks. I can hear the autotune. I'd probably rather hear it raw and live without all that shit. I'm sure he's an incredible singer, but there's just too much compression and correction. Sounds fake. But you're the engineer, so I'd be interested in what you think. Don't get me wrong, I loved listening to it, but I don't believe I was hearing what the crowd was.

The video does√'t over-produced to me, and for sure their enthusiasm and sweat were the real thing!!

The immense amount of autotune might have something to do with it. I thought I was listening to "Believe" by Cher for a moment. He's a great singer, but when every note is absolutely perfect, it's tuned for sure. Plus you can just hear the hollowness of the corrections.

This is the song that got me wanting to play guitar when I was a kid. I used to wait by the radio with a tape player just waiting to record the song when it came on. To this day, this song still gets me pumped.
My thoughts exactly! This is the first song I played air guitar to in the early 1980s. I have been playing guitar and bass ever since.
Hard to find a better performance than this! The band are so on point.

I first heard of this band from a guy named Phil Salisbury. 1976 Phil was there engineer he rolled the tape for us and we knew this band was going to go up the charts. The music was just hotter than anything else out there. Rock on gentleman.
Saw these guys in Dallas a few years ago. The whole audience stood during the entire concert. Best show I’ve seen in yrs ! These guys killed it !

Saw Foreigner in the 70's with the release of their first album, in Greensboro, NC. Always have been a huge fan, especially of Lou, but this was epic. Much respect to Mick for keeping the music alive and getting such a talented group of guys together, I actually have a guitar pick Mick tossed to me in Raleigh, NC in the mid 90's, I treasure it.
Born in 73 I'm a product of the late 80's glam scene, grunge and nu metal but nothing beats a legendary band performing a legendary song. Just kicks ass!
I was a USMarine in Nam in late 72 and all of 73. I awas a CH53CC in HMM165. Proudly eserved on 4 LPH's. 3,10,11&12. Smokin&pikin most every day!

As a long time, loyal Foreigner fan, I never imagined Lou could ever be replaced. In my mind, Lou is still and always will be the heart and soul of Foreigner, but Kelly Hanson is truly an outstanding vocalist in his own right. I find Kelly’s vocal quality, in terms of tone, phrasing and range, to be an excellent fit. I truly miss Lou, but i must admit I’m enjoying the new Foreigner.

Kelly Hansen is better than Lou. By far. Sure, Lou sang it and wrote it but Kelly is a stronger vocalist.
