Have you thought about using the yogurt single serve container for the form? It is tapered and would slide out easy. By the way, Elmer Glue is biodegradable if you want to glue the paper.
I have been using the large yogurt containers as pots (5 1/4 tall, 4 1/2 wide at top) Just drill some holes in the bottom for drainage and fill with potting mix (homemade)
